GorillaPods are the best of the best!

Speaking as a professional camera op and videographer working in NYC, I can safely say that GorillaPods are the best phone tripods out there. Super sturdy... wraps/morphs/conforms to just about any surface or mounting scenario... I never feel worried walking away from a cell phone on this tripod. The 3K version is every strong enough to support some light DSLR cameras, although I tend to stick to cell phones and action cameras (GoPro, Osmo, etc.). Only thing that upsets me is the phone mount is Joby brand and not Manfrotto brand (as seen in the picture).

This acts as a tripod in places where its impossible to get a real tripod into! or bend all three legs and use it as a selfie stick. It is the perfect pod to do shootings for vlogs on youtube. The new 3k/2k/1k/5k models have enhanced glue on the ball joints so it won't go loose as quick as the previous older gen models. The panning mode on the ball head is perfect and comes in handy for those cinematic shots for sure. The material used is great and feels EXTREMELY sturdy in my hands. My Canon EOS M50 didn't budge one bit while on this pod.

Bought it mainly for the ball head for a tablet mount and it’s solid. I use it to hang an iPad Pro from a boom arm and it has yet to fail like so many others that couldn’t handle the weight. The tripod itself is also pretty solid and doesn’t sag like so many other flexible tripods.

The tripod does its job very well. I bought it to do photography and videography on the go with my Canon EOS RP, and it handles the weight no problem. It is built sturdy and I haven't been concerned about it folding or falling over while the camera has been attached, which is great considering I usually set it up on rocky dirt trails. It's also small enough to strap to a backpack. This is much better than some other ones that I have used, would very much recommend.

Absolutely perfect small tripod for travel or ease of use. The tripod can be used for DSLR or Mirrorless cameras. I have even used mine with a larger lens and it holds it steady. Great for use in the wild too since you can wrap the legs around almost anything for getting the right shot. The phone holder is very solid and holds your phone securely. It’s almost overkill for a phone to get this tripod but if you are planning on using it for a DSLR it is perfect for both.

A great option for a little tripod capable of being versatile in positioning and easily handling the weight of a full-frame camera. I use it on the go often when I need my camera supported for a shoot or as a backup stand for a webcam. 10/10

I am using this tripod with my Canon 60D, typically with an EFS 18-135 lens. This is by no means a heavy setup (compared to other canon bodies and glass), but it weighs in around 3lbs with everything. This should be well within the GorillaPod 3k's 6lb rating. So far the tripod works very well and does not fall over. I know some other people that have this same kit and they will occasionally have some issues with the setup falling over. This is usually becauase of one of two things: (1) not setting the tripod up well in the first place or (2) they have beat on the tripod to the point where the ball joints are too loose and don't hold anymore.

I would give this 5 stars, but I know this tripod is prone to break in the near future. I had a 2K Gorillapod that's joints failed after a few months. This is the slightly bigger model that's more suited for mirrorless cameras and it does a good job of holding the weight. It's very versatile, but I don't expect it to hold up very long since the legs rely on friction to hold the weight. The durability is a shame since this isn't a cheap small tripod. Your best bet is to get it on sale, as I did.

High quality, high priced mini tripod, this thing works great for recording at my editing studio on my desk for sit down vlogs, aswell as for your phone if your doing a sit down video / Time lapse. Ive also used it to vlog and since you can bend it any way you'd like, its small, portable, and versatile aswell. I was unlucky and bought this full price, and the next week it was on sale for $19.99 lol

This product is exactly what I was envisioning for use with my cell phone. A Samsung S20 Ultra fits with no issues. The level built in the unit makes it a breeze to setup for pictures or video. The flexible legs allows you to setup anywhere and on any level or un-level surface. The product materials are very high quality and NOT some cheap fragile plastic. I highly recommend.

I originally bought this to use as a phone tripod while hunting. But once I read the weight capacity, I figured I'd try it as a tripod for my spotting scope. This little guy clamped tight and held my scope locked in place. Very impressed.
