Warner Archive has done a spectacular restoration of Jonny Quest. Originally a prime time cartoon from the early 1960’s it is great example of the 60’s optimism. Video communicators, jet packs, lasers, and other “futuristic” gadgets. The Doug Wildey designs give Jonny Quest a unique look and set it apart from Saturday morning mediocrity. The series has been lovingly restored. The colors pop and the picture is so clear, but they haven’t over cleaned and erased the detail. Yes, there is a little cel dust and the age shows, but it is a 55 year old cartoon. Finally, this is a series of its time and states on the box “It is intended for the adult collector and may not be suitable for children” translation, it may not be politically correct for 2019.

This is about as perfect as one will ever have for a Jonny Quest release. The 2 episodes that had lines censored in the previous DVD have been corrected. Each episode has it's original end credits, as opposed to the DVD that had the same end credits tacked on to almost every episode. I believe the only thing not corrected is the splash sound when Race pops out of the water in "Pursuit of The Po-Ho. The sound FX are still missing. Picture and sound quality are fantastic, race (pun intended) now to order a copy!!

As a kid of the 60s and 70s, I grew up on Jonny Quest. It’s still one of my favorites and unlike all the modern cartoons geared toward the overly-sensitive, it’s still amazing to see a cartoon that doesn’t shy away from killing the bad guys. It’s like James Bond for kids — very much influenced by the Atomic Age and Cold War, and it’s nice to see it on Blu-Ray.

As on original fan of this show, I have been waiting a long time for the definitive release of this series on disc. Warner Archives did not disappoint. All of the issues with the prior dvd release have basically been corrected. The show has never looked or sounded better. I cannot believe I have an HD copy of my favorite cartoon series. Kudos to WA for releasing this and kudos to BestBuy for getting my pre-order to me the day after release.

Any man my age will remember Jonny Quest and that iconic opening intro that still gives me chills! Episodes like Turu the Terrible, The Robot Spy, and The Invisible Monster were engrained into my childhood. This collection gives you the chance to relive the entire series and recall the old days of Saturday mornings when they weren't filled with educational programming like today, just pure old fashioned fun!

Great TV Animated Classic Watched Growing Up Great Adventure Series

This is just how I remember Jonny Quest from my childhood. The detail is sharp and the colors are vibrant. This is the best set of Jonny Quest episodes I’ve found to date. If you’re a fan or would like to introduce someone to Dr. Quest, Race, Jonny, Hadji and Bandit I’d encourage you to pick this up as I don’t think it’ll last long.

I was on the fence since I already had the dvd set but so glad I pulled the trigger the blu ray quality and the fact that they are back to the original un cut versions makes this hands down a great purchase — the stories hold up very well to any generation young and old

While companies like Fox and Disney dump TV on Blu-ray, Warner keeps on satisfying physical media fans with great output! Fans of this classic Hanna Barbera show must get this. The image looks fantastic and the sound is very clear. The extras carry over from the DVD set.

It's the original Jonny Quest on Blu Ray, whats not to love!? This new blu ray is different than the previous releases due to being uncut, and uncensored. So it's geared towards the adult collector. But it's still amazing and holds up!

Terrific remaster. Although the animation is limited due to the time it was made, it looks crisp and bright. It's like it was just made recently. And the series itself is still engrossing and action-packed.

The original Jonny Quest series on Blu-ray is great. All the original episodes on one disc. This will take you back to a time when Saturday mornings were cartoons, cereal, and fun.

Big fan of the 60's show. It has very good stories, atmospheric locales and characters. I hope they finally get around to the first 2 seasons of Scooby Doo.

In my humble opinion this is the best cartoon show of all time! It's been restored wonderfully, it looks great and sounds great! Highly recommended!

this is just a beautiful set, if you love Jonny Quest this is the one you should have
