You will love it! The story so far is great, gameplay is almost the same as Yakuza with a little twist here and there such as tailing and chasing people. Graphics might seem a little bit outdated, but most of the yakuza fans are in for the story and beat em’ up gameplay. The features seem to be better than other Yakuza. There’s voice over for every main story quest unlike Yakuza. There’s also English voice-over but I prefer Japanese voice with English subtitle.

I love how they are combining Detective Conan & Phoenix Wright into one game! The main character is pretty awesome the whole story is amazing and the side missions never bore I can't stop talking about how good this game is!!! I usually don't like a lot of fighting in single player games because of the way they fight *as in the controls suck for fighting or fighting just isn't that good* Batman Arkham games & Marvels Spiderman along with God of War has had the best fighting for me currently! But Judgement is up there too now no powers so he's like Batman a bit for me which is why I love it even more! All the other characters in the story are pretty amazing the girl that works in that law place reminds me of Hibiki *Anime* *Movie* worth watching! The whole story feels real with the characters real reactions like they are surprised when they should be at death and not giving a lame reaction to it. I love how you can fly drones around too and take pictures in the game lol along with the chasing down and tailing people as well the boss fights are fun too!!! LOVE when a game like this has good boss fights not everyone does them correctly or make them fun enough and challenging. Lastly, I recommend this game to anyone who wants Law, Detective Work, & Fighting involved in all one game SEGA really hit it out of the park with this Main story, side missions, characters. So freaking good!! I am in Chapter 2 now of the game so fun I don't want it to end trust me you won't regret buying this if you are looking for Detective & Fighting related stuff the Law involved was just a bonus and makes it even better!

Riveting Drama with Insane Side Activities

Judgment comes from the same vein as the revered Yakuza series. The games often have gritty, epic tales of the Yakuza filled with twists and turns at every corner, fit within a extremely detailed rendition of Japan with an abundance of sidequest, minigames, and other activities. Judgment doesn't do a lot of deviate from that same formula, but what makes this one special is you'll play as Yagami, a private investigator (rather than the hardened ex-Yakuza, Kazama Kiryu). While the mini games involved with the detective side of the the game are surface level and simplistic, the overall narrative is stunning. The main gameplay element is the combat, which is exceedingly fun and intuitive. You'll be doing some extremely badass, jawdropping moves. The fights are also fantastic, with a impressive soundtrack to accompany it. The graphics are great (though not as stunning as Yakuza 6), especially during the cutscenes. This is the best way to experience a slice of Tokyo without actually being in Tokyo. The minigames are bountiful and plentiful with a surprising amount of depth. There is a lot to offer in this game. Personally, the biggest draw and the star of the package is the main narrative and the combat. But what makes this game special, much like the rest of the Yakuza series, is the sheer amount of detail put in every corner and every mini-game. There is a sort of sincerity in the game that is felt everywhere in the game. Don't miss out.

I’m a big fan of the Yakuza games, and Judgement is more of the same, which is fine by me, but it adds an intense story with the option of excellent English voice acting (Finally!) Judgement is a great game to start off with if you were ever interested in a Yakuza game, but intimidated by the amount of games in the series. You don’t need to play the prior Yakuza games to fully enjoy Judgement.

I don't give 5 stars to any game unless it's near perfect. I do highly recommend this game. As others have mentioned, it's a Yakuza spin off where you play the role of a lawyer turned detective. Great story and the voice dubbing/acting is very good as well. I wish there was more depth to the detective work. Can get a little repetitive. A lot of cut scenes. Not a great deal of choice making. Although the street fighting is fun, I think it's a bit cheesy. No gunplay. All in all this game is definitely worth playing. I got it for $15 and I am really enjoying it so far.

I was hesitant on purchasing this game because I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The graphics are good the story is excellent and the gameplay it's something that any fan of Yakuza could sink their teeth into. If you're looking for something to scratch that yakuza itch give this title a try, you'll be more than happy you did.

If you play yakuza then you definitely would want this game! and this is the first time we had English voice acting in this type of game in a long time so if you don’t like reading subtitles then you’re good, but gameplay is overall fun and story is very interesting! And I hope it tie it in the yakuza series

Judgement Is a spin-off of the Yakuza series, known for its storytelling, characters, and world. While Yakuza tells its story from the perspective of an ex-Yakuza (Japanese mobster), Judgement is the tale of a private eye investigating a serial killer. Like the main titles, Judgement features a lot of different mini-games and side quests, and the quality of writing of the side quests is just as good as the main plot, as is par for the course for this series. If you don’t know if you would like this game, I highly recommend checking out Yakuza 0 first.

If you liked Yakuza you will enjoy this game. It takes place in the same world and has gameplay that will be reminiscent of the Yakuza games. The story is very interesting as you are an investigator and have to use your mental skill as much as your fists to get to the bottom of things.

Judgment has a great story and it’s a vary good game. Sega makes the best game you can never go wrong with sega. This game reminds me of sleeping dogs. It’s about an Attorney that is looking for personal redemption. The story keeps you coming back to see what’s going to happen next. It’s a must buy for ps4 owners.

Got my copy in the mail yesterday, I have to say, the Yakuza team has yet again hit it out of the park. The game is fun, looks great, and still has that cozy feeling as you return to Kamurocho again. Definitely recommend picking this game up. From the engaging story to the solid gameplay, you won't be disappointed!

If you've never played any of the yakuza games, then this is a gray place to start. While it has nothing to do within the main yakuza story, its set in the same universe. Also has amazing Japanese AND English VA. The story is intriguing and the graphics and gameplay are great. Definitely a must buy!

If you've played the yakuza series of games by the same studio you have a good idea what you're getting into. This game has a really good story and the combat looks even flashier than ever. Good fun if you know what you're getting yourself into with this studio and their antics.

This game is getting very mid level reviews. I totally disagree. The story is great and engaging. The graphics look amazing. The new detective gameplay adds another layer that yakuza sometimes lacks. I love the yakuza franchise, but this is the best game they’ve put out.

This is a great way to make a spin off of the yakuza series. Anyone can pick this up and start with it. It's basically part detective game and part beat-em/brawler. There is also tons of mini games. Give it a shot if you like it pick up yakuza 0.

The story is great. It feels good to play as a normal person, granted her has super human powers, but it's a game. If you've played a Yakuza game before, you kind of know what you're getting here. It's slightly more condensed which I actually liked more. Not as long as a Yakuza game, but still has all the gameplay you'd expect. It looks good, the faces especially.

If you like Yakuza, chances are you will enjoy this game as well. The gameplay is similar but with some new detective gameplay. If you are in to mahjong you are in for a treat with 3 parlors, only thing missing here is karaoke.

A Yakuza Game In Everything But Name

Judgment is technically not a sequel to anything, but it's basically a Yakuza game (and even takes place in Kamurocho like those games do). That said, you don't have to have any previous knowledge in order to enjoy this game. You play as a lawyer-gone-detective and are tasked with solving cases that the plot puts before you. In doing so, you may find yourself getting involved in fisticuffs with random gang members. The combat is great and makes interesting use of the environment (such as using the swing set at a playground to kick a dude in the face). The investigation portion of it doesn't add much to the experience, but it's a nice change of pace from the usual Yakuza antics. If you get bored of the main plot, there are plenty of side activities (though sadly karaoke isn't one of them). Highly recommended!
