Incredible unit. I first installed the Jensen Car1000 and started having issues with it freezing up and crashing constantly, so I returned it and decided to splurge on this JVC instead. There were features missing on the Jensen that I had in my old vehicle that I missed. Top among them were wireless android auto (vs wired), hd radio, satellite radio, and an hdmi input. This JVC also has a much higher resolution screen. I love the fact that the screen has some tilt adjustment available after installation. Android auto wireless works great, though setting it up on the unit wasn't as intuitive as other units i've tried. Just mess with it a bit and you'll figure it out. While I prefer a volume knob, (like this unit's sister unit under the Kenwood brand) I do appreciate the large volume up and down buttons. My previous pioneer had tiny volume buttons. Also, I was able to retain my steering wheel controls using only a PAC adapter. That was a much cheaper optoin to retain steering wheel controls vs the idatalink maestro setup that would have cost an extra 250 dollars. I don't get all the fancy vehicle info, but all I wanted to was steering wheel controls. So look in to that cheaper option if you're curious. May not work on newer vehicles though (I drive a 2010 F250 Lariat). I did have an issue with the hdmi input not working at first, while trying to use a 4k hdmi cable. I swapped out that cable for an older hdmi cable, not 4k, and now it works. So if you're having that issue, try and older hdmi cable. They're supposed to be completely backwards compatible, but obviously not with this unit. Also, don't forget to add the little black trim piece or the screen won't turn on! All in all, this thing is responsive, has the best screen available right now in car stereos, and has all the features you could ever want. I absolutely love it despite the pretty ridiculous cost.

Cool Unit, Be Prepared for Installation Journey

We've had the installed unit for a few weeks in our 2019 Subaru Outback. It is as promised, easy to use, clear graphics, and connects seamlessly to our iPhones. Some things to be prepared for. I recommend getting a parts list from Best Buy installation department. I ended up needing to buy some things through Best Buy and then some things through Amazon in order to find them in stock. The exact part numbers were necessary in order to get the right part. It is not enough to know the title of what it is. Also, the DDIN comes in different colors (with different part numbers), so make sure you get the right one for your car type. We had to send one back and get the right color. The finished product is not flush with the Subaru Outback. I don't know if it is flush with any car. You will see how it sits "floating" above the other parts of the dash. It is slightly adjustable from the floating position and allows you to adjust it for reflection or to see the other parts of your dash. It was true for our car that the component pieces behind the unit were too large to fit completely in the space. Therefore, it took up some of the compartment space below the unit. This made the compartment mostly not usable because the door stays closed. Also, Best Buy had to install a separate USB port that dangles in the passenger foot area (not intrusive), because the in-dash USB was rendered unusable with the way the installation needed to go. There is also a tethered/dangling mic up by the driver side visor and mirror. Know that the back-up camera will not have the lines that comes with the factory installed camera. That said, the image is clear. The additional parts were around $400. The installation was not additional because we bought it through Best Buy. The installation took about 3.5 hours. I would not recommend trying to install on your own, unless you really do have tools and a talent for electronics. There is a lot to know to make sure that the steering controls, camera controls, back and front connections are all installed correctly.

Best buy open box did not disappoint. Great buy. Great head unit. Keep in mind you need a datalink maestro rr2 and harnesses from crutchfield. They ran me 360$ for the whole installation kit. It was worth the extra features like tire pressure, rpm, 0-60, ft needed to stop etc, also reads codes, and many more. Great sound improvement over the factory head unit.

After a lot of research I decided on this JVC 10.1 Inch Model. I’m very pleased with my final choice and the great installation and 4 year warranty program offered by Best Buy. The Geek Squad Installers and the Sales people and were very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient! I’m really loving this upgrade. My original Bose Speakers sound amazing. Front & Rear Camera are great! My I Phone 11 Pro Max works great and I love the HDMI input. Two Thumbs up! 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD Z 71 106,000 Miles

This head unit is absolutely incredible. First, the screen is as clear as the latest Iphone and glare of the sun doesn't effect it. It has Android auto and car play and the best thing about it is that is all wireless. It shows you if you have a check engine light, tire pressure and tire temperature. You can wireless mirror screen! It has an hdmi port which I have connected a firestick. This is by far way more than I expected. I recommend this head unit and it is definitely worth the price. I had it for over a year and had no problems with it. Treat yourself for Christmas you will not be disappointed.

Installed this in my FJ Cruiser and it has completely modernized the vehicle. The fit and finish of the unit is amazing. Sound quality is great and the EQ has blown me away with the level of customization available. Wireless Apple CarPlay works wonderful and fully integrates with my vehicle using an iDatalink Maestro box. For those comparing this against JVC's sister brand Kenwood - this essentially is exactly the same as the Kenwood Excelon but with much more fun and colorful background and display features. I particularly love the VU meters and the light bar under the bottom that lights up my center console. 100% recommend, it's a stunning piece of equipment!

This JVC Radio is amazing! Many features. Such a clear touch screen. No Glare at all. I had it installed through Best Buy in Oakdale, MN. The customer service was great! They installed the radio and it looked amazing. I did have to go back, but they went above and beyond to tryin help find a solution. I had this unit installed in my 2019 Jeep Renegade. The issue was, none of my climate controls or settings worked on the radio even with Maestro iDatalink connected. This was NOT the fault of Best Buys installers. This was an FCA issue. So please note: If you drive a Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler or Fiat, you will need to take an extra step to make any touch screen with iDatalink compatible radio fully functional. I took my Jeep to the dealership, and they have to do what's called a Proxy Alignment to configure your aftermarket radio. The alignment doesn't always work on the first try, make sure they try at least a couple times, it should work. Im sure prices vary from dealership to dealership, but I paid $199, thats with tax, to have this done. You can buy an OBD MX+ and do the Proxy Alignment yourself if you feel comfortable and knowledgable enough to do so. Hope this helps someone out.

Cannot say enough about the awesome screen. Of course it's big, but the clarity is great too. I installed this unit in a 2015 Toyota Camry. The Best Buy fit guide said it wasn't compatible, but another site said it was, so I took a chance. With it adjusted so that the emergency flasher button is not covered, the top of the screen is slightly higher than the vents. Air flow still reaches the driver and passenger with no problem. Installation is as easy or difficult as any after market head unit. If you install with the iDatalink Maestro, which I did, you have some soldering to do, but you retain steering wheel controls, and gain system information screens. We connect Android Auto with a Google Pixel 3xl, and a Samsung Galaxy S21 5G. Both work seamlessly wired and wirelessly.

Installed in 2019 Highlander without JBL. Got an amazing deal for open box "excellent" condition. This fits well in the vehicle using the default height setting (position 1). You'll need to consult pages IIRC 25-28 in the manual for some initial set-up out of the box and also how to attach the screen. It has almost too many options for sound configuration. The display is large and bright and responsive. Sun doesn't cause glare. I have it set on brightness of 1 (range is -4 to +4) and for it to dim when the headlights are on. Reused the factory metal brackets instead of the plastic ones that came with the Metra face plate for attaching the radio to the car. I purchased the Maestro RR unit and HRR-TO2 harness, the idatalink KEN1 harness to not have to use the harness that came with the head unit, an adapter to use the existing USB ports, and SAT-TO2 harness to use the existing "fin" on the car for SIRUS XM module and GPS (so didn't have to use the XM antenna or GPS antenna with the head unit). I added a HDMI cable to the glove box in case I want to add a Roku at some point, and put the microphone clip behind the steering wheel on the gauge trim. It all hooked up great, but it was a little tricky getting it all to fit in the opening behind the radio. I did put the Maestro unit in the lower front behind where the HVAC control panel snaps in, so you can see the light on it in case of any error codes. Programming the Maestro with the computer was pretty straight forward when using the Quick Start guide. Stereos have changed a lot since I installed my last one over a decade ago. I took hours gathering all the parts and harnesses to make the install as easy as possible. Install took me 7.5 hours including a trip to Best Buy to get the HDMI cable and 45 min on the phone with support for a popular online car stereo vendor where I bought most of the accessories due to inventory and if I needed support. If I had to install it again I could probably do it in 4 hours. You do need to hook up the blue power wire from the antenna adapter to the TO2 harness. But you do not need to connect the Maestro to the OBDII port in this vehicle, and there are a couple other wires that come with the Maestro that are not used in this vehicle. There is one connector from the car that isn't used, which I think was for factory navigation but not sure. The wiring diagram that shows up as a pdf to view after flashing the Maestro was really helpful. The stereo is very easy to use, has much better resolution and responsiveness than the factory unit, and is obviously much larger. It still has buttons for some functions, including Home and volume, which is really nice. Highly recommend.

Big plus Negatives its really expensive . To have access to all the features it cost an additional 200. Dollars. For Maestro module. 35. For a Maestro T harnes. On top of the 1,200 dollars. You already paid for the radio Best buy will install it for you At no extra charge. But it usually takes 2 or 3 weeks before they have any openings. At

Great product! Huge screen with vibrant colors. Great features for customization of sound, wallpaper etc. and wireless Android auto and apple car play. Responsive touch screen, and can be angled nicely to reduce/avoid glare. Only con for this is the resolution of the screen quality. Don't get me wrong, it looks fantastic, but when watching videos or your cams, you'll see that this isn't the same screen quality as your phone, tv or even nintendo switch.

Very nice system and the size is great for streaming (while being parked). I have my firestick hooked up to the HDMI and it works perfect. Installation was perfect. I love the 4 camera view. I lost my 360 overhead on my 2019 Rogue but I like the ability to see the views this provides better. It can also be viewed while driving. There are lots of settings for your music preferences so if you are into this you could be setting things up for hours. I have no complaints. Being able to stream your phone is awesome and it works great. Wireless Android auto is another great feature.
