Overall, the head unit has good sound quality however you are stuck with limited apps on the device. You cannot add a podcast app for example. Although the device has a GPS antenna, it still relies on the map on the attached smartphone and XM tuner is optional which makes the GPS antenna utterly useless. There are lots of greyed out buttons on my head unit because my car doesnt have the computer info hookup. Basically, it has more optional features that I have in my car. I was a bit disappointed that it cannot stream Youtube while parked and even more disappointed when I found out that it doesnt come with a remote especially because i didnt purchase the steering wheel interface. For someone who has a loaded featured car and dont mind paying for all the optional features, it would be a great device. I may have to return this one only because it out features my basic Nissan Juke.

I would suggest that if anyone is looking for a quality radio go get it it has a ton of options works great. I put this in my C 6 corvette looks great and sound even better.

I am breaking this up into two parts. The first review is for the product itself, the second is for the Geek Squad installation. Radio: I wanted a new radio for my car because the one I had before was a bit basic for 2017. It had the typical XM radio, bluetooth, etc., but not as much as the newest vehicles. So, I did some research and found this radio and went ahead and gave it a shot. The display is awesome. It's very clear, bright, and is responsive to touch commands. What I love the most about this radio is the Apple CarPlay functionality. It honestly is a life-changer behind the wheel. You can do everything from the steering wheel functions without looking away from the road or at your phone. Siri Eyes Free is very helpful, and recognizes the words you say on the first try. if you want a radio that is functional, sounds good, and is reliable get this one. Installation: I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the Geek Squad service that I received. For starters, they estimated it would only take 2 and a half hours. It took 7 HOURS to install my radio. 7! How do you take 4 and a half hours longer that originally estimated? Additionally, one of the parts that they ordered for my car didn't work correctly, so I had to go and return that. Luckily the guy was able to work around that. Second, he got GLUE on my center console. The glue wouldn't come off with a spray nor would it come off with goo-gone. I have to back to the store and they have to file a claim to replace my center console. I paid around $200 for installation because I had trust that they would do it correctly. If I would have known that GLUE would have ended up on my center console, and that it would have taken double the amount of time that was originally estimated, I would have just gone to a small shop that would have probably charged less and done a much better job. I know to not ever use Geek Squad again the future.

Overall, this is a great unit. So far my major complaints are:. 1.Font size is huge within XM radio readout and doesn't appear changeable. Can often not even get the full artist name displayed if it is not very short. Song titles are cut off and difficult to read. Can press a button to scroll them, by why not just automatically scroll them if they are cut off? 2. Brightness does not appear to be editable. Very bright at night and a little distracting. 3. It seems like rapid charge for Android phones randomly shuts off frequently. Regular charging is painfully slow. Other than that, Android auto and Apple carplay are awesome features for this price point, and the Bluetooth works very well. I have already recommend this unit to friends (just not install at BB)

I just keep saying "I should have done this years ago," but years ago, ACP and AA did not exist in lower priced head units. The JVC boasts a 6.8" vibrant screen that is very responsive to the touch. The user interface is rather logical once you get the hang of it--just read through the manual before you dive into it. ACP works great, and is as responsive as the OEM systems in my newer vehicles. I really like that this system is Idatalink ready and Sirius ready. I took advantage of both. Seeing extra gauges on my vehicle is cool to access every now and again, and the Sirius receiver works flawlessly. Installation difficulty will depend on your vehicle; I had mine professionally installed--it was just too much for me, even though I do most things myself. I was considering more expensive Kenwood and Pioneer systems, but I didn't like the GUI as much as the JVC. I also considered the Sony, but the screen was a bit smaller. I swear my stock speakers sound better with this new head unit, especially with all the customization you can do with the audio settings. My one complaint is that the Home button on the top right does not light up at night. However, it is east to feel for it. Be sure to buy the extra harness to retain your steering wheel controls. This system has minimal buttons, and using the screen controls will take your eyes off the road. This was an outstanding upgrade for my truck, and I don't regret it for a second. I had the Geek Squad print out a list of everything I would need and then accumulated the parts over time. They were very helpful in that regard.

Geeksquad installed my new JVC Video Receiver that included both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. What an incredible upgrade from my 10-year-old factory radio. Sound quality significantly better, Andriod Auto and Bluetooth link to my phone work flawlessly. The user interface can be a little confusing but overall it's an incredible upgrade. I highly recommend this unit.

I upgraded my 2008 Saturn Vue XR.Overall very pleased with the JVC KW-M730BT. Menu is easy to step with your personal listening preferences. I have configured two bluetooth phones (iphone and windows 8.1) the windows phone I use for music only. No problem pairing two devices and no dropped connection or other problems. Sounds great with OEM speakers and has a richer base. Backup camera and hands free calling works great too. Steering control functions works great without any issues. So glad I did the complete package and had geek squad do the install. Cost was reasonable and I no longer want a new SUV.

Purchased to take advantage of hands free texting and calling. Apple car play (using Siri) works pretty well for texting and phone calls. Use of maps through Apple Car play is a good feature too. Pleased so far.

Great car stereo/head unit with apple play and android auto at a great price. Intuitive interface and good looking, simple design. Geek squad install was top notch.

left the factory speakers in but the radio makes them sound much better love the apple play features-- touch screen and hands free phone.

This has 2 usb ports (only one works with CarPlay), which is rare at this price point. I use one for CarPlay with my iPhone and the other with a 128gb memory stick for music. It works great. I'd like to get a higher storage iPhone, so I can use Siri to play my music, because searching and scrolling through music to select from USB source while driving is still a pain. Bluetooth sources (iPod touch) work great too. Sometimes screen glare makes it hard to see, due to mounting angle of the head unit, but these are common issues of all head units. Sound quality it great and works fine with the factory speakers that came with my car. There are a lot of audio controls, which can either make things sound better or like total crap, depending on what you do. Try leaving it alone to begin with and go from there. Radio tuner works well too.

This head unit with Apple Play is a fantastic value. Much more than just a high quality head unit (which it is!). The Apple play integration allows for full funtionality of my iOS device while maintaining attentive driving - love it!!

Have had this unit installed for almost a week. I Have a IPhone 7 and had to download new firmware, which was obtained from the JVC website. Once I did that, my phone worked, along with carplay.

JVC - 6.8" - Android Auto/Apple CarPlay™ - Built-in Bluetooth - In-Dash Digital Media Receiver - Black It is nice to see car receivers like the JVC on the market at prices that make them affordable. The JVC can be a great headunit for any custom build or like me replace an older headunit in a 2010 Rouge. The installer took longer than I would have liked but I had him replace the cigarette lighter below the receiver with a USB port so dash mounting the phone was easier. The Rouge already had a separate sub woofer in service but is running the stock OEM speakers in the doors. I can't really comment fairly on if the sound was improved over the earlier head unit since this is not my daily driver. This is the wife's car and my main intent was to have Android Auto available to her and me when I do the driving. It works just fine on our S8s. Android auto is a great addition to most cars but there are a lot of things I wish it did better. But having the most current maps is a benefit when you need it. Finally I have to say the display is a much higher quality then I expected at this price so I am very satisfied with both the receiver and the Geek Squad install.

I really like this product but there were two different ones on the Best Buy website and it took me forever to figure out the difference between the two of them other than price

It has allowed me to add navigation, a backup camera and bluetooth to my older automobile.

Variety of options with this unit. Love Apple CarPlay. Best Buy said t would take an hour and a half for installation. They got it done in 30 min. Highly recommend.

This radio is a great radio that is Sirius XM Ready. It allows you to use your I-phone or Android navigation features on your screen and use your phone to make full voice calls. However, the function is limited by the inability to control the music audio of the radio while in the phone menu or the phone while in the audio menu. This radio needs to be updated to allow for a split screen option allowing the audio and phone menu to be displayed at the same time. Besides that, it is a great radio I would recommend to anyone.
