All-in-all, I love this little camcorder. It's very light-weight and easy to use when filming action. Picture quality on computer monitors and smaller HD TVs is fantastic, but on my 50+ inch TV, the quality suffers a bit. My only real problem with it is that the touch screen is hyper-sensitive and I often scroll past the setting I want before I realize it. High points: The software makes it easy to upload and share video, which was my primary concern when purchasing. It's a great little camcorder for the price. I bought an extra battery because of the reviews from other owners, but I haven't needed it yet for my purposes. I would highly recommend this product for anyone wanting an easy-to-use, decent quality camcorder that makes it easy to share video with family & friends.

I searched this site high and low looking for a decent camera that I could record and edit movies with. Most cameras I looked at had bad reviews that I wasnt willing to take a chance with, including this one. But the pros outweighed the cons so I took a chance and bought it. It was perfectly fine until it came time to upload videos to my computer. The cd-rom wouldnt intsall properly even after uninstalling and reinstalling. So I gave up and dragged the file to my desktop hoping I could edit it using Windows Movie Maker. Then to my disappointment I found that the file was an .mod, not compatible! I tried every converter I could find for free on the web and nothing worked! I dont have the patience to do this much work to edit a video! I have a point and shoot Canon camera that records video in .avi which is compatible so I am hoping to get a camcorder from them as well! I should of done that in the first place! If you dont care about cutting clips or editing of any sort than this camera is right for you! It is a great camera otherwise, the only thing I wish was different is the format! no other compaints!

I asked for a small digital camera, and I was given this as a Christmas Gift. I love having a video camera, but that isn't what I really needed. I needed a good camera for still photos. This is essentially a neat little video camera that takes still photos as if you are looking through the bottom of an iced tea glass. They probably shouldn't even offer that as a feature because it is such poor quality. As far as a video camera goes, it is fantastic. It is small and easy to take with you without weighig down your purse or bag.

Bought with a 8GB memory card, so we can hold of to 9 hours of video... We do not do much editing..but our PCs required the editing software that came with camera although Mediaplayer plays movies directly from camera...Mac plays/edits with Apple software..like the direct upload to ITunes and Youtube feature,,takes great movies and is simple to use.

I bought the black version and this camera is beautiful, small, and very easy to use. I can take it with me everywhere and is not a pain when I travel. This is a good camera for capturing everyday memories and fun, but not for professional use. The LCD screen is very clear and the menu is very easily accessible and easy to navigate. I love how you just open the screen and it turns on. Easy to upload videos onto computer through any SD/SDHC cards. Hardly have to read the manual, if at all. I just read it for uploading tips rather than the actual use of the camera. Flash memory cameras are definitely the way to go, and this one is awesome :)

I bought this video camera to play around with, not really looking for the best quality in features and output. Was pleasantly surprised in the ease of use and quality picture. Nice compact size that fits into a large purse.

This camera is just the perfect size. The zoom brings things right up close. Taking a snapshot while filming video is a great feature, as is on screen scroll through menu.

This camcorder is great for video. I read the reviews before i purchased and even though the reviews weren't great most of the negative reviews were about the snap shots. This was not a concern to us. The video quailty is great but the snapshots not so much. Review after review stated this but we bought the camcorder for video only as we already have a great camera. So if you have a good camera and are looking for a great video recorded get this one. Great price great picture we love it...

This is a neat little video camera that takes great video shoots. I love having a video camera, because its quality is fantastic. It is small, light weight and it fits almost anywhere purse, small bag and even held hand little bag.

This camera was almost $300. Easily one of the worst cameras I have ever used in my life! I have gotten cameras for well under $100 that were better than this. This camera seriously takes horrible pictures and the videos are just ok. On top of it if you have Windows XP then you CAN NOT edit the videos from this camera with WMM. What kind of marketing strategy is that? That makes this camera completely and totally useless to me. That needs to be put on the dang box. In my opinion that is pretty important. People should know that this camera does not work with WMM on XP. I got this camera last night and went to put the disc in my computer to install the software and my disc drive will not work any more so I called the customer service and the people that answered the phone can barely speak English. That is pathetic. I asked for a way to download the software and they gave me a new number to call and when I called them I sat on hold until some one answered just to tell me that a download for the software does not exist out side of that disc. I will never purchase a JVC product ever again.

Very easy to use, but I can NOT share any videos taken with it due to the format is ONLY recognized by included JVC software, making it pretty useless unless everyone on the planet also has this special software to read this format unique to JVC. Windows XP will not open any of these files. Windows media player is useless. WHY would anyone MAKE such a product? If I take videos they have to be watched on my computer only or bring the camera along and everyone can huddle around the dinky LCD screen. Another thing, why sell it without any memory card at all? Buyers remorse? You bet!

This is a great little camera for a great price! Nothing fancy but it does a fine job.
