I did a lot of research, and this player had ALL the features i was looking for, for a great price. The only one i could find was refurbished, so that may attribute to a few issues I've had. Other than that, it has great picture quality, plays HD formats from my computer and the web, and has great DVD upscaling. The only real issue I've had was the BD movie would be playing for a while, maybe an hour, and it will start to stutter, then freeze. When i restart the disc, sometimes it wont recognize there is a disc in at all! I let the player cool down for a bit, then try again, and usually it works fine again. I think the player might be getting too hot, as i read this unit doesn't utilize a cooling fan. Other than that issue, the player has been a blessing! If you do get a refurbished unit, get a extended warranty with it as well, just to be safe. Overall: Mostly an excellent buy!

This was the only blueray available from JVC. I did not want to spend several hundred on a new unit and this refurbished is a great alternative. Very pleased with the ease of use and the quality of the unit and image. I have other JVC components and expected an Intellink connection, this one does not have it. Keep in mind the unit generates a lot of heat and needs good ventillation. Add HDMI cable (not included)for best results.

Save your money. Not only did it not recognize half the discs I put in it, it froze up on about half of the others. I was so disappointed. Going to return back to BB and save up for a better one. Will NEVER buy a JVC product again.
