Make sure you have…. Heat gloves, Torch lighter, rectangle aluminum pan, meat thermometer and good charcoal. Then you’ll be set for a good start

This thing is amazing. Been cooking all winter long including snow storms. Such a huge upgrade over my old wood pellet grill.

The three tier cooking system is difficult. It takes a lot of work to get everything in place, perfectly balanced etc. Once the cooking begins it’s very difficult to move and turn food on the lower levels. Building a fire inside the kettle is awkward. Adding Charcoal especially if you have multiple levels going is too difficult. That requires heatproof gloves and a clever hand with tools to avoid dumping your food into the coals. The gasket between the top of the kettle and the bottom gets cruddy in an instant and I don’t feel it’s going to last long. One glowing comment, ha, is it retains heat extremely well. I smoked a pork butt for 9 1/2 hours. Never once had to add Charcoal.

Does everything and built like a tank. 330 lbs. love this thing. MDe bricket, pulled pork, chicken wings and full sized chickens. All turned out perfect. Maintains heat way better than my Weber ole smoky.

Just in time for the holidays. The Kamado Joe is amazing. Im not sure that I understand the science behind what makes the Kamado Joe work as well as it does and how that impacts the overall taste of your food but I dont care. Outside of the amazing taste, the Joe looks great on our balcony.

excellent product and delivery. They coordinated the delivery very well. You should buy your kamado joe from best buy because they offer a delivery and installation that is reasonable.

What absolutely drives me bonkers is a site (organization) that is relentless for a product review. I've had all but a week with the product, they still want an immediate review. Well here it is. 3 of 5 stars. I've used the product about 3 times in 4 weeks which is typical for a charcoal grill. The first time was to burn off the crap left from china. Then a seasoning cook, and a 2nd cook. Still trying to figure it out. It'll be 3-6 months. Why ask before I'm ready to give a relevant review? So far, so good. We'll see.

This is a wonderful BBQ. The food is wonderful. I prefer this over my Weber gas grill.
