Customers recognize the Q Series 5.25" 2-Way Bookshelf Speakers' excellent sound quality and well-balanced bass response, frequently citing them as a great value. Many appreciate the clear highs and precise imaging, although some find the speakers' size unsuitable for larger rooms. The lack of included grilles is also a recurring point of feedback.

Pretty awesome speakers. I had these for almost two years now and I have since upgraded to the LS50 Metas. The single driver just means you can sit anywhere and it will still sound amazing, which was especially convenient for my setup at the time.
It goes on sale often, so I would recommend you buy it when its around 300 USD.

Excellent sound quality. Fills up the room. I’m using it as front channels in a surround system. Great for both movies and music
Also great price (when discounted)

I got this for the sale price of $300. Paired it with a Cambridge AXR100 which is a 2-channel amp with 100w per channel and a sub out. Connected it to a powered sub and Oh boy it’s like a dream!

Got these for half off ($300). They don’t sound anything like a $3000 speaker so get that out of your mind right now. The bass is present and the treble is very good. I got them cause it was a great deal and will use them for my Sirius in house setup. For that they are fine. They do sound fine the louder you play them. The bass comes on very goo and it just sounds much more than a tiny bookshelf speaker should. Get em half off and enjoy them in a lot of situations.

These speakers sound fantastic! I have these on my dresser in my 12’x16’ bedroom on an AVR pushing 60w/ch and they absolutely fill the space. They are very clear, and the sound staging makes it seem like the sound is coming right from the TV.

The KEF q150 speakers are great, but don’t bother buying them from Best Buy - “Open Box”.
I purchased them while they were on sale for $350 as they typically are, but Best Buy had them listed in ‘open box excellent condition’ (like new) for $250 so I bought them. Their website states these are Geek Squad checked and reset to factory condition and appear / function same as new. However, when I received them, they had scratches all over them, which would’ve put these under “Fair Condition” showing plenty signs of use.
I contacted Best Buy to resolve the situation since the open-box prices were raised while mine were still in shipment, making the “Excellent Condition” pair now costing $331 while New cost $350.
Of course, after speaking with numerous Best Buy customer service reps, their only answer was for me to return them and buy another set regardless of the fact that they now cost $80 more and I shouldn’t have to pay for their mistake. I was either sent the wrong grade box by mistake or Best Buy carelessly graded these wrong knowing the condition they were in and chose to mislead customers.
The fact that Best Buy didn’t even offer to replace them at the same price point that I paid, less than 24hrs after I received them, due to their mistake, has completely soured my view of the company itself.
Again, The KEF q150’s are excellent, especially at their sale price point… just buy them somewhere else.

Perfect for complementing a good tv. Better than even a good sound bar. Driving it with a NAD316. Tunable bass port helps balance the sound to your setup. Excellent buy especially for the price.

I love the design in black, the sound quality without subwoofer. I connected them to Fosi Audio BT20A amplifier. More than enough power!

The sound is fantastic. Great for a small to mid size room. Audio is great well mastered tracks and has a nice sound strange. Need a sub if you are a bass head.

Purchased this set during the Holidays. First impressions nice looking speaker. They are replacing speakers that are 14 years old so they have work to do. I chose them based on reviews and the looks. The speakers are stand mounted
ear level with slight tow in about 6 feet apart. First impressions the sound stage and depth. The speaker creates a wide sound stage with good instument seperation. In room bass response in huge for a small speaker. They are not to bright wich I like as you can always EQ them. I listen in pure direct mode via a Denon receiver. I like them so much I purchased a single unit for my center channel and a Kef subwoofer. The price has since dropped so buy them now!
The only negative is you have to buy the grills separately and you need a good 70 watts amp to get the best out of them.

My review is based in purchasing on sale for $350.
These are clear, cohesive, full bodied speakers. I use these on my desk, sitting less than 2 ft from either speaker. Sitting that close, with typical multi driver speakers there’s timing difference between sound from each driver arriving at the ear. The coaxial driver eliminates this issue and makes everything sound cohesive from close distances.
The highs are clear and crisp yet not fatiguing. The treble reminds of the Klipsch r50p mk2 relative to extension but with a much smoother presentation. Mids are clear. Bass is good, not great. Even at a desk I use with a sub.
Horizontal dispersion is is great. Vertical dispersion pretty narrow. As long as you you ear is in relative vertical alignment with the tweeter you won’t miss anything.
I’ve had my fair share of bookshelf speakers: Emotiva b1+, JBL studio 530, Q Acoustics 3020, Fyne Audio F300, Elac Debut 5.2, Klipsch r50pm mk2 and Rp60m mk2. I think I like these better than all of the above.
Also, I’m a “grills on“ guy, not with these.I love the look of the driver and matte finish gives a nice understated look.
These speakers are lighter (weight) than expected. I expected a heftier speaker but was not disappointed I hooked them up.
