Customers are saying

Customers regard the Expert Wireless Trackball Ambidextrous Mouse favorably for its ease of use, wireless functionality, and trackball design, with many appreciating the ability to customize the buttons. However, some customers found the mouse to be large and cumbersome, and experienced challenges with the software. The large trackball was a highlight for many users, while others found the size to be a significant drawback. Overall, the positive feedback on ease of use and wireless capabilities outweighs the negative comments about size and software.

    Best Mouse/Trackball Hands Down!

I got my first Kingsington rollerball in the late 80's early 90's and have loved it ever since. There were hard to get for a while so I tried the thumb roller, fingertip roller and settled on a regular mouse. It was okay but they all make my hand tired and I get very sore. When the new rollerball popped up onsale when i was buying my new laptop I was so excited. I love having it all over again. It's so comfortable and with the ring controls for fine tuning, it really is the best, most comfortable and powerful mouse around. I'm a lifelong fan and will not be giving it up any time soon. Side note: I got my mom one of the originals in about 1992... My sister still uses it to this day! And yes I used to use my 8 ball pool ball for fun... Worked great!

I have been using the expert mouse for a very long time. (the wired version) I started using them about 15 years ago. The wired version has held up and still works to this day. I bought the wirless version just to try it out. I love it even more. Same experience with no wire with an added bonus. I run 2 computers. My windows machine and my mac. The great thing about the wireless version is it uses bluetooth and comes with a usb dongle. I use the usb reciver with my windows maching and bluetooth with my mac. I no longer need 2 mice. There is a switch on the back to switch between bluetooth and usb. Another nice surprise. When I have it set for usb it controls my pc. When I switch to bluetooth my mac. It is instant no lag or waiting for it to connect. Once you get use to using one of these a regular mouse feels inferior. Also I love being able to customize the buttons. Great product. The wirelss version is much better for me because of being able to run to computers with 1 mouse.

My first encounter with a Kensington Trackball was in 1994 at a new job. I loved it immediately. No more lost cursor! No more shoving that other thing all over the desk to find it! I also love the progammable side keys. I had always longed for a right hand Tab key. Presto! This new one is wireless and easy to set up. Yes, you will need to go online to find the free downloadable driver, but that's today's world.

Very stable and easy to use. A bit too large for my taste because it takes up too much space, not because of the comfort when using it. (I will add that I am a very petite framed female with tiny hands). I don't care for the way the wrist support attaches because if moving the tracker from a table or desk to the sofa, the wrist support doesn't stay on the tracker. However, the tracker itself is the smoothest I've ever used.

I've missed using a trackball, hadn't had one since the 90's. So much better than a mouse or track pad. Only suggestion, the scroll wheel is sloppy. Either won't move, or jumps. Not able to get the correct sensitivity even though I've tried multiple settings in the software.

Best professional trackball on the market, now finally available in a wireless version. Unparalleled ergonomics, infinitely configurable 4-button control. Not cheap, but worth every penny!

This is an amazing product. I am a music Producer, recording engineer, and artist that dose a lot of editing from the home and this made the process so much better. the ability to program what each button dose gives you the ability to edit cute and past or do whatever you want to do with the press of a button if your use to a traditional mouse it may take a few days to get use to it but once you do it will be hard to go back.

This is my third purchase of this mouse. I finally upgraded to the wireless. I had an injury to my right arm years ago and had to learn to mouse left handed. I was so successful in training my left hand with this mouse, that it’s remained my preference. I switch back and forth to my right to give my left a rest on heavy workload days. Which is the beauty of this mouse and wireless makes it much easier. Each mouse has lasted for several years of daily use. Please don’t ever stop making it without letting me know so I can stock up!!

While was impressed with this item, I needed it to be portable and it was much bigger than I thought, so I did return it. But definitely eyeing as a replacement for my desktop!

I love the trackball. I purchased it to eliminate the pain in my thumb from using the mouse. It has worked perfectly for that issue. I read the reviews and many commented that this was HUGE, so I expected something 8x10. But this is much smaller than I expected and I am pleased. The footprint is only about 5x6 and used less space than I used with the mouse, so that is an improvement. The ball itself has a tiny imperfection in it that catches occasionally on one of the three supports, but I had already discarded all the packaging so I am living with it. It is a little annoying, but not too distracting. I would recommend purchasing it to anyone wanting a trackball. This is so much better than the new ones that use the thumb to rotate the track ball.

    Good ambidextrous trackball option

Takes some adjusting to using such a large trackball. Great option for left-handers or ambidextrous use since most other trackballs are specifically designed for right-hand use. The scroll wheel is functional once you figure out how to keep fingers on the ball and use your thumb to spin the wheel. The buttons could have been smaller or spaced differently as I sometimes click them by accident. But they are also reprogrammable so that helps. Good connection via bluetooth and goes to sleep to save battery life. Overall a functional trackball.

Bought mouse for use after shoulder surgery. I am right handed but needed to use left hand. Easy to use and after a little while I was almost as efficient as using my right hand.

Although size of mouse if very large & took a little getting used to, I really like it. It helps me being able to work without causing issues with my arthritic fingers. This was purchased for work & will purchase again. Have already been recommending it.

I bought this mouse because the mouse provided by work was sorely inadequate for the amount of mousework that I do. The track ball glides (sometimes I get a little over enthusiastic about spinning it), I love the ring around the mouse that is used to scroll up and down; it feels easier on my wrist. Speaking of wrists, the only thing I don't like is the wrist rest that came with it; I like the idea of the wrist rest, but this is solid, there's no cushion-y feel. It's better than not having one, but I wish it was a little softer. Overall, this has been a great purchase.

I've always been a fan of full sized trackballs. I had this trackball when it was a wired version. I was excited to see that Kensington finally made a wireless version. I bought it right away and have been totally happy with it!

I use it for video editing and photo editing and for creating objects for 3d printing. I love how you can dial in the sensitivity of the trackball and how you can customize the shortcut buttons on it. It is a bit bulky, so i mainly use it at home. It does fit in my laptop bag and i have traveled with it and have had no problems.

Solid Mouse Alternative When Space is At a Premium

This solves a too-little desk space problem with my work Dell laptop. It has a good solid feel to it. While I miss some of the multi-finger gestures possible with a trackpad, it's a good alternative to a mouse. Switching between a mouse and the trackball works different parts of the hand and wrist. Using it reminds me of playing Missile Command a long time ago. I'm happy with my purchase.

I Love my new wireless Full sized trackball After slamming my old mouse into the table and watching the springs pop-out, when the mouse became non-responsive in a computer game game. I got my 1st Kensington Trackball. No longer move a mouse across a mouse pad, but rather use finger-tips to finely control cursor movement. with the large ball. The wireless Trackball is identical to the wired optical version, except the lack of wire and being updated for Win10. It is heavy-duty workhorse.

I love the ease and feel of the trackball. It is a little big for my small hand but I would not change it out. I use is all day long and my hand and wrist feel so much better. The ring does make a rough scratching noise. It does not bother me. I would recommend

I bought this mouse to replace a corded trackball mouse that was loosing contact with my button clicks. I wanted a trackball mouse that I could use left-handed that would provide me with more functionality that my previous one but the same level of comfort. I must say that overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase. I use three monitors, so I love the larger trackball's ability to get me to where I need to point quickly. I love the easy scrolling ring that makes it super easy to scroll. The main reason that I gave 4 of 5 stars is that I don't find certain settings for buttons to work. I really wanted the double-click feature to work, but I have not been able to get that function working no matter what I've tried. Still, I'm very pleased with my purchase.
