This is my first mechanical keyboard, and I have to say I have no idea why I waited so long. This keyboard provides one the most comfortable, and enjoyable typing experiences I have ever had. Prior to purchasing this Keychron I had only used non-mechanical keyboards, the last being my old Logitech K360. Which up until this one I really enjoyed, but this has been like going from a 60Hz monitor to 120Hz plus. Unbelievably nice. The design is sleek and appealing, the ability to customize it is new to me but definitely welcome. The typing action is buttery smooth, with a nice thunk noise. It's an overall very enjoyable tactile experience.

It's been working well. Sounds good types great. Having an issue with latest Mac os update where the keyboard disconnects if it doesn't have backlight on.

I wasn’t planning on falling in love with a keyboard, but here we are. The Keychron V5 Max checked every box I didn’t even realize I had. First off, the 96% layout is chef’s kiss — you get the number pad, arrow keys, and everything else without taking up a mile of desk space. It’s compact and complete, which is honestly hard to find. Typing on it? Silky smooth. The red switches are quiet enough for work calls but still have that buttery mechanical feel I was looking for. It’s hot-swappable too, so I can mess around with different switches later if I want — but honestly, I’m loving it as is. The build quality is solid. No creaks, no cheap plastic vibes. It feels like a tank in the best way. The RGB lighting is vibrant but not obnoxious (unless you want it to be), and it’s fully programmable with QMK/VIA, which was super easy to set up even as someone who’s not deep into keyboard modding. Battery life’s been great so far, and I love being able to switch between wired and wireless depending on what I’m doing. The tri-mode connection (Bluetooth, 2.4GHz, wired) is a total game changer. I'm so glad I took a chance on this keyboard. Great connection to Mac and Windows, easily hot swappable, easy to remap keys and customize lighting, easy and intuitive to switch between lighting or turn it off. I was worried it might be louder than I want but it's so quiet! Perfect weight to the keys and the whole keyboard. I thought it might suck cause you never know but it turned out to be the best ever.

One of the better budget keyboards with a numpad. It's a good starter keyboard. Build quality is good. Keycaps felt ok. Keychron software is similar to VIA and is very intuitive to use, and you don't have to download/install the software. I ended up returning it because I wanted to tinker further with keycaps and switches, and this board did not sound like what I expected when I replaced those components. However, the product is still excellent and of good quality, so I'll give it 5 stars

What a wonderful keyboard! It's premium without paying too much, and works perfectly for both recreation and work. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for something that is tactilely enjoyable without a crazy price tag.

My son is a gamer and wanted to try a mechanical keyboard. He was very impressed and absolutely loves this keyboard. He said the response time is great.

It works well, and the battery is very long-lasting. It has increased my productivity by making typing more enjoyable and effective.

This keyboard was nice, I unfortunately had what seemed like a motherboard defect on the model I got with constant A key mis firing. I worked with Keychron support who were very willing to play ball if Bestbuy didn't on return. I'm ultimately going to buy a different model form this company though because the quality was very nice for the price.

This is my second mech keyboard, and i like this one better. It feels amazing to type on and immediately connected to pc.
