New favorite multiplayer!!!!......sorry COD 4.

This games' multiplayer is on the same level as COD 4.....nothing more needs to be said......buy it!!
That being said, this game is not COD 4. You dont snap your red dot sight up to your face in a spit second and headshot someone on the other side of the map. Killzone's gameplay has a more 'weighted' feel. It's not a bad thing at all.....it just takes some getting used to.
The Badges are all good and they all have vital uses within the Warzone gameplay. the Assault badge is great for assassination.....use the boost and blast yourself behind enemy line to where the target is hiding and when you get their blow him and his defenders up with the grenade laucher. The Assault is also great for Search and Retrieve.....grab the speaker and just boost you way to the drop zone. The Tactician can change the tide of a whole game with one well placed spawn grenade. The Scout can just devastate another team if you have good aim and are sneaky. Also, the Saboteur is great sneaking fun too, but he is also good for passing through enemy line during assassination. The Engineer's sentry turrets are great for defending and the Medic's revial gun is good for assassination and bodycount. Overall the badges are great and it doesnt take to long to unlock them all.
Combining the secondary abilities of the different badges is also fun and can be very helpful to your team. Like combining the Assualt's boost with the Tactician....this lets you put a spawn grenade down anywhere on the map very quickly. Or using the Tactician's air drone ability with Engineer.....letting you place both a sentry turret and an air drone down and letting them get a few kills for you. Also combining the Saboteur's secondary ability, the C4 charges, with the Engineer badge and his turrets is great for defense on search and retrieve......just put your sentry turret in a good place and then place C4 on the drop zone box and if the other team makes it to the drop box they will be in for a big surprise....There is lots of little stuff like this for you to do in this game. You will eventually stop seeing how many hours you've put into the multiplayer and instead start to measure it in number of days played.
Get this game.....you wont regret it!!

Wow at first I just thought that Kill Zone 2 was nothing special and was just some game that wouldn't be good. I was totally wrong.
This game is the PS3's Halo. In fact this game is BETTER than Halo and I no I have played it. The campaign only has 9 levels but they are all very fun and a bit long. There are tons of trophies to earn in this game and the online is simply phenomenal. 32 players in one game all fighting to win.
Skirmish is the same bout as online but it is training or for people wih no online...
Graphics are just awesome everything just looks so crisp and clear and I'm playing on a SD 15 inch TV so imagine what it's like to play it on a 52 inch 1080p plasma screen TV.
The price is a little high for being out for a while and the ranking system online is not very good at all. You get 1 xp per kill and so u get about 30 points on average per game meaning it takes a long time to rank up. To be a general you must have 2800 xp so you see it's gonna take a while...
If you are looking to buy Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare get this instead. Don't get me wrong I love CoD4 and I was addicted to the online but KZ2 is so much better and plus CoD4 is only out another 3 1/2 months before MW2 comes out and everyone switches.
P.S the sixaxis is awesome! In between the games in the loading screen where you get tips you can move your controller around and make the screen move!
2 thumbs up and 5 stars. Good job!

Killzone 2 is not only another shooter with few whistles and bells but it is among the best of the shooters in terms of gameplay and graphics. While i was playing it i felt like i was actually in a war. Unlike the COD series and some other shooters,
Killzone 2 is actually like Battlefield 2 except that it's better. Gun feels real because of the attention to details especially in reloading and the handling. The controls are great. Shooting enemies felt real unlike the paper-like enemies in COD4&5. The ragdolls are probably the best here too.
If you play hard mode it's so fun. The enemies will not stand and fire at you. They cover up and roll around. It's kind of hard to land a clean shot at them this way. While the scripts for the enemies are excellent and almost human-like, they are not as competitive as when you play online.
Online gameplay is very very good. Personallly, i'd say that it's almost like the CS (counterstrike) series. You won't be running around much... instead, you're getting slaughtered left and right every few minutes that's because you're in the KILLZONE.

There are so many great things about this game. Clearly this game gets recognition for is amazing graphics that take you to a desperate world of constant war. You are constantly moving from one location to the next shooting enemies, but it never gets old. I like most did not play any of the prior Killzone games and am starting mid-franchise. I went to you-tube to get an idea of what the story is about, but it seems like this game has very little to do with the first game. The character is different entirely, though you do see the original character in the opening video. This is all to say you could easily pick up a copy of this game and not worry about getting lost in the story. My main problem with the games is when it uses the sixaxis movement controls. The game has you drive a tank at one point and you steer moving the controller itself. It sounds easy, but it was a pain. I died a few times because I could not get the tank to turn. This should not stop you from buying the game. This game is excellent and if you own a PS3, you owe it to yourself to get this title in your library!

I just bought this game last night. I usualy play Call of duty 4 (modern warfare) and Call of Duty 5 (world at war). At one time i thought no games could pass the greatness of the call of duty franchise. i was wrong. Kill Zone 2 far exceeds my expectations. The last game i was hoping to be great was (resistance 2) i did not care fot the online play at all. Kill Zone 2 gets 10 Stars from me. The graphix are excellent. The online plays like call of duty but much better. Turn off the old COD WAW and pop in KILL Zone 2. I was skepticle at first as well, but when i played this i was amazed at how great it really is. Only downfall being the aim in button. This will not be a downfall for most but because i play Call Of Duty so much, I was used to the aim in being on my L1 button but that is not the case with this game. I am getting used to this though. (i attempted to change the aim in button to the L1 button but cannot) as i said i am getting used to it though.

This game may be the best shooter on any console today. The campaign is epic. It took nearly 9 hours to complete, so it has a lot of depth. Be warned that this game can be very difficult, but once you get the hang of the controls, it is a TON of fun. The online play is absolutely amazing. The graphics in this game are second to none. I would say it is the best looking game on a console (tied with Uncharted 2). Overall I would give this game a 9.5/10!! GET IT NOW FOR CHEAP!

KillZone 2 is a refreshing break from your simple "run and gun" arcade style games such as Halo or Gears of war. The game provides you with enough heath to sustain a handful of gunshots enabling the player to act as a storm trooper running down the enemy. But the maps are heavily textured with plenty of niches and multiple levels that reward strategy and encourage you to out flank your opponent.
While campaign mode is a little shorter then would be hoped, the Computer AI is very advance, Enemy's will hold back when out numbered and take cover and spray blindly behind their head when pinned down, but then will wait for back up and charge when their ranks increase.
Online play is fun, and with good maps and more on the way, you can play Killzone 2 for a very long time. making it well worth $59

"They will know......Helghan belongs to the Helghast." Play the game on Elite and you'll see what Visari meant by that.
At the very beginning, Killzone 2 shows you an introduction explaining both sides of the war. The Helghast defending their home land, and the ISA invading them to finish what was started on Vekta (the first Killzone). It shows your main character preparing to leave Vekta before he fights the battle on Helghan.....on the back cover, it says "In and out in a month, they said. Morale at an all-time low.....they couldn't be more wrong"....
Even though games sometimes can't capture ones attention just by what's on the back, it's almost like they WANT you to see how wrong they really were. At the very beginning, your craft makes a crash landing on a beach, already fighting for your life, AND THE GAME JUST STARTED! Depending on your difficulty setting (if it's your first time, I HIGHLY recommend either Recruit (easy) or Trooper (a bit above easy) ). Later on in the game, you're traveling all over Helghast, in what seems to be an endless chase for Radec (Visari's commander) and Visari himself (Emperor of Helghan). Even though I have shared some of the game's story line, don't think I'm going to spoil it for you.
When you first try to look with the right analog stick (default settings), you WILL notice a delay. It's not a bad disc and it's not your controller. They built that into the game to give the feeling of the gun being heavy. It actually works pretty well, and if you're like me, you'll get used to it quickly in the campaign. However, I still do wish they didn't put a delay on EVERYTHING. I'd hit Square twice just to reload, and sometimes, hitting X once won't allow the character to jump, but that's only online, and the room most likely was laggy.
Where the game REALLY shines is its online feature. From Bodycount (team deathmatch), Assassination (killing a certain player on the other team before time runs out), Search & Retrieve (finding a speaker and returning it to a destination...kind of like Capture the Flag), Capture and Hold (taking territory and holding it from your enemy for a certain amount of time), and Search & Destroy (planting bombs at a specific target and waiting for them to blow up), there's ALOT to do in this game.
Ribbons such as Head Fetish (getting 10 headshots in a game) keeps the game rolling. Getting eight ribbons of the same kind, such as eight Head Fetish ribbons, gives you a medal, in which you unlock special items/abilities for achieving them. Being a medic and reviving people 5 times in a match, 8 different times, gives you the ability to throw down health packs that can heal you, your teammate, or even an enemy if they're lucky enough to find one. If you heal someone 5 times in a match, 8 different times, you can use that ability with any other badge. For example, say you're a Sabetour (badge in which you're disguised as an enemy to fool your enemies), and instead of C4 mines, you want to have the ability to heal yourself. If you get the C4 medal AND the one for the health packs, you can mix and match them.
It seems complicated, but it's MUCH easier in the game. Ranking up in the game online allows you to gain different badges. You can be a medic, an engineer (build turrents), Tactician (throw spawn grenades so teammates can spawn in other places), or a Scout once you reach the highest rank (Scout being the sniper). Even once you're finished with that, there's always something else to do.
If you're good enough, the game even rewards you with the Special Honor ribbon, for being either the top 10, 6, 3, or 1% of players for that week (the highest I've ever gotten was 3%).
There's just so much good with this game, I could write a research paper about them.
But now about the "bad". Depending on who's hosting, the games can be VERY laggy. Two shots to kill someone....with a headshot...really??? Me shooting people five times, only to die with two bullets.....yeeeaaaa. Little things like those can make it unfun at a point, but take some time and get the aiming down, it won't matter. You'll be racking up dead bodies in no time.
Overall, great game, great experience, boss fights keep the "old school" feel with a "new school" twist....Just buy the game. This is one FPS that you can't miss.

This is one of the best shooters out there. Nothing even comes close. I bought this and both Resistance titles on the same day. Played the 1st resistance for about a week and got bored. Played resistance 2 for a week as well and hated it. Put in KZ2 and was instantly enthralled. The graphics are top notch, The controls are very responsive. And to those who complain about having to use R3 to zoom you can customize your controls and set L1 to zoom which is very easy to do and makes it alot easier to play. Offline the story mode is alright. But where this game really shine is online. With 5 different missions to choose from you can either set up a game and play any mission(s) you want and set which weapons you want. Or play an existing game online. You can play against people from all over the world so that makes for some interesting chatter. And with online chat with a headset you have a squad specific channel to talk to just your squad members Which is nice for planning strategies. I've been playing online for about 5 months now and have yet to experience any lag. All around I would say it is well worth the $30.00 for it new.

This game is the new halo except much much better. The graphics, the gameplay, the story, everything in this game is absolutely fantastic. The first one could have much better but they definately made up for that with this one. This game is worth what you paid for. Online is so awesome. Each match holds up to 32 players!! Its so cool having so many people fighting with or against you. This game was worth the wait and you should definately get this game if you want some action and suspence. This game provides some quality time with you............and trying not to scream your head off from how awesome this game can twist and turn to meet your expectations. What a great game.

Killzone 2 is a game u simply must buy. The graphics are the best and the enemy AI is so much more intelligent than any other FPS I have ever played. Like in any COD game the enemy could be 2 feet in front of u and not even see u. Not here. The AI is so smart that when u take cover and peek out to shoot that enemy he is no longer there, he has move to another position and is firing at u. Also the online aspect of this game is so robust i dont even want to get into it. just know that it is a very deep leveling up system. GREAT GAME!!!!!

I have to admit that I'm a little biased since I loved the first killzone. Then after seeing the three trailers released I'm definitly going to buy a PS3 for this game alone. (Not that there aren't others I'll get) I'd be a fool to pass up this game. It's going to redefine console graphics from now on, AI intelligence, and incredible detail, lighting, and gameplay realism. This is a must buy so if you don't have a PS3 you'd better go get one because this game is going to skyrocket PS3 demand.

Best futuristic game of all time, totally beats Gears of War and Halo! Its great, the guns are cool, the physics are realistic, the graphics are the best ever, the storyline is fun and interactive!
The online could be a bit more fun (for some unexplainable reason, not as fun or addicting as Call of Duty: 4).
Great game, worth the buy. I suggest renting it first, though. Some people can't get enough of it, others get bored of it pretty quick. Its your call.

Killzone 2 has to be the most beautiful game I've seen or play. The story and the flow of the game is great, always hand on action. The only problem about this game is the controls. Even if you change the sensitivity of the controllers, the controls are very awkward to deal with and get used to them. I bought my PS3 because of this game and Blu-Ray and so far neither one has disappointed, great game, you won't regret it.

A Great Game

Among many of the shooter games that have come out, this one is on a top level with the best. Graphics are astounding, better than almost all games out thus far to date. While there is a story to this game, you only get bits and pieces in-between missions or sniping somebody--not a bad thing at all. This is a very difficult game, one that I have died countless times trying to beat. Yes, you might get frustrated and need to walk away for a while when you get the "what! I totall--what? Come on!" but that just adds to the fun.
This is a gory game, don't doubt that for a second. The responsiveness is great, weapon systems along with game mechanics are fluid and well thought out. I really have not come across any bugs, you might get lag once in a while, but very rarely. Load screens do not last long at all. Also, if you have children, do not let them be in the room when you play this game if you wish to keep their innocence intact. Along with the pools of blood you spill and make erupt out of the bodies of enemies, your own teammates do cuss quite a bit, which, again, adds to the realism.
Online game-play is great, and is the main reason why most people buy this shooter. There is DLC coming out often and it keeps things fresh and truly enjoyable.
I you enjoy shooters and are looking for a challenge, I believe this is the game for you.
