This beast does everything to uphold the tradition of Klipsch. The bass just booms and it's so tight the clarity it maintains at high volumes is just incredible. No distortion whatsoever. If you can afford it, buy it .... now.

Not a bad sub, but you can get an SVS subwoofer that goes lower in frequency, and has more power for the same price...

When Klipsch says the R-115SW would wake your neighbors, they were not kidding. This thing packs a serious punch if you're not prepared for it. Any song with sufficient bass would shake the entire room without even needing to turn up the volume that much. Initial setup for this subwoofer is pretty simple. You can either plug in a LFE cable to the right analog, or use a L/R analog. The configurations are as simple as they get, with only a phase, gain, and crossover knobs. Because of how large this sub is and depending on your use, you don't really have to crank the bass up. Even at -4.0db in my receiver settings, movies were rumbling and shaking the room without a problem. This subwoofer really compliments my home theater setup because of how controlled the base is. My previous 10" subwoofer would overpower my speakers sometimes because I had to up the volume on it inorder to get that theater feel. This, however, just does it like it's a walk in the park. The only compromise you'll get from owning this is space since the subwoofer itself is HUGE. You don't really notice it in a big room, but in a small theater room, it really sticks out. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Klipsch R-115SW. It solved all my previous problems with a weak bass and more. I now go into every movie looking forward to the action scenes where I feel the rumbles in my seat. If you're looking for the next upgrade to your subwoofer, then this may be the thing you're missing.

This subwoofer literally shakes my entire house! It's insane and you can turn it down which is good if you would rather not feel like you're experiencing an earthquake. I fell in love with it. It's really big and compatible for wireless connectivity which I do have installed. It's simple to set up with a receiver and you will not be dissapointed with the quality of sound. No distortion whatsoever even at high volumes. I love it and definitely worth looking into it if you're interested in adding to your home theater set up.

This sub is huge! Be sure you have the space for it! I have this sub connected to a Pioneer Elite VSX-LX303 receiver, and paired with Klipsch RA8000F towers, RA600M surrounds, RP404C center and RP500SA Atmos speakers. I’ve spent several hours listening to a wide variety of music from a variety of sources as well as several movie soundtracks. The best word to describe this subwoofer is accurate. It provides tight, controlled bass when that is what the recording offers, but it is equally at home reproducing the deep, rumbling bass found in some Rap tracks, as well as the low sustained bass of a pipe organ in classical material. For movies, explosions are felt, as much as they are heard. I also love the arrival of the train in Polar Express, as it is incredible with a good sub. With this sub, it sounds and feels like a steam locomotive is in my living room. The finish of the unit is excellent as well. It is a durable matte black vinyl that should prove as tough as it is good looking. The bottom line, if you like deep, powerful, accurate bass, you can’t go wrong with this sub.

I've never heard of this company up until this point, but oh my God! The bass in the speakers are Head Over Heels better than any bass box I've ever owned including the ones I used to have in my car as a young teenager. As I had to wait to have them professionally installed they are incredible. I went outside my house to see how they sounded and I walked up the street a little bit and I still hurt them. So if you live in the neighborhood similar to mine where all the houses are very close, you may want to be careful with how loud you turn your volume up. The Klipsch is my new brand and I would definitely recommend these speakers for any surround sound system that you have in your home!

This thing broke right after it went out of warranty. Don't buy unless you want to spend more money to repair in a couple years.

This subwoofer has blown my expectations out of the water. You definitely need a large space for this unit, and forgiving neighbors! The sound quality is unmatched and trust me when I say the gain needs to be turned down on this big boy.

Awesome Sub with some real power

This klipsch subwoofer sounds great, and produces tremors all throughout the house. Before I ran calibration set-up, I set sub gain to halfway mark, and receiver still added 7db of gain to it. Which was extremely loud. So I got out spl meter and set it at 80db slow C. And still turned the gain back to 25% of full gain, it has that much output. And it still vibrates the full house. Will be gettin 2nd sub soon. I've watched unstoppable and it sounded great, C.O.D WW2 sounds like your in the middle of a war.

    WOW!! Best Sub Ever!

Within the past year I have upgraded from a 10" sub, to a 12" sub and now to this 15" sub. I know that bigger is better but that doesn't even begin to describe this sub. It has booming bass but is also crystal clear and just muddy bass. First things first...this sub is huge! It is a very large cabinet and it is very heavy. I hooked it up to my receiver with no issues. I am using the Klipsch wireless sub woofer kit. This works flawlessly functionality wise. I also noticed that the clarity of the bass is different than that of any other I have ever had. I used to have Polk subs but this Klipsch blows them away in every possible way. The lows in my movies is where this sub really shines. The bass makes you feel like you are at the movies, not like my old woofer that just "pounded". This has so many different levels of bass it is just a totally different experience. This sub will change your entire home theater experience for the better. I cannot recommend this enough. Spend the money, it is worth every penny!

I'm not used to "reference" speakers of any variety, but this subwoofer is unbelievable. When explosions occur in Blu-ray movies, I hear and slightly feel them. However, there's no rattle of the housing, and no other appreciable sound. I just love how "precise" it sounds. I've even listened to a Dolby Atmos music Blu-ray, and the bass drum beats and some low notes on the bass guitar are very, very crisp. The housing is very clean, and the woofer itself is a beautiful gold color. I almost want to leave the grill off. It seems to be of the highest quality.

I bought two these to complete my 7.2 set up and OH MY FREAKING God. These things are absolutely insane! Extremely easy to set up, never turned up past halfway and they blow everyone who's heard them away. They hit very hard, very crisp, and very, very, very low. You'll FEEL your movies and or games like you've never felt them before. I highly recommend these for the price.

I am surprised by the power it delivers. worth the money. I paired it with Kllipch RP-280f(2 speakers), RP-450C and RP-250 S(2-speakers) and we feel like sitting in a movie theater watching movies on our 150 inch projector screen. love the quality and clarity. Thank you BestBuy and Klipch.
