    I have been pondering getting into tent camping ‘again’ at the age of 63. Hard surfaces and my sleep do not mix well at all. I knew that I would have to get as close to a real mattress as possible, if I was going to make this work. There are cheaper options out there, but this pad has an insulating R Factor of about 8! Amazing. There is a pump available for inflation, but for a pad that offers 3 1/2 inches of comfort, I was surprised at how easily I blew it up using my own air! I haven’t used it outside yet, but I have slept on my cabin floor with it several times and it provides great support and comfort. Most pads are 2-2 1/2 inches thick, so this Klymit Model really goes the extra mile. Can’t wait to hit the trail and try some cold weather camping with it! I’m so anxious to test out that R Factor. I don’t know how they do it, but I’m glad they did, as there is nothing worse than cold creeping in on you when you’re sleeping. Love my new Klymit Static V Luxe XL!

    It’s a great pad, and it fills up easily. It was very COMFY TO sleep on. I used it at home on a cot, and I am taking it with me on a backpacking trip.
