I bought the limited edition Black/Gold version directly from Koss because a) I'm a sucker for anything limited edition, and b) I wanted to see if these are as good as so many reviews say. The answer is, quite frankly, yes. For something that looks like it was designed for use with the original Walkman and has about as much style as Uggs...I came away happy. They're a pleasant casual listen straight from your phone or any other mini jack equipped device. Solid bass, clear mids and only slightly recessed highs. I've got a monster noggin so these barely fit and I have the fit pads set to loose but they're so light you barely notice them. The only quibble I have is that the cord is a tad on the short side so you have to be a bit careful with that. Overall these are a great portable headphone if you're looking for a step up from cheap in-ears. I'd still recommend the V-Moda XS (better/tougher build, better case, but also several times more expensive and to be honest, the Koss' sound better!) detachable cord, and a couple of other small things but either way you'll come away happy. I definitely recommend the Porta Pros!
