Initially, I was reluctant because there are other brands at higher price points which didn't really get the job done, so this was just a trail. As soon as I got it, BB Totaltech, installed it for me and the Wifi set up was seamless, we tested it and perhaps the most seamless set up ever. I am so happy with this Kwikset Wifi Smart Lock at this price point, already recommended to multiple people and they are purchasing it. If you turn on the LED indicator, my guess is the batteries will last for 4 months atleast and without the LED indicator, definitely longer. The lock and unlock makes noise, you know that its set up and the app is very simple and seamless. Highly recommend, and I should have opted for this sooner.

I followed the instructions on what to do if it was wasting batteries, and it did not solve the problem. Fortunately my membership allowed me to return it after giving it a long enough chance before I figured out it was not worth it. The motor that closes the bolt was also much louder than my Utec. Too bad Best Buy doesn't carry that brand.

The batteries can drain quicker than expected due to your lock's installation, router type, and distance from the lock. Use only name-brand alkaline batteries and please do not use lithium and rechargeable batteries. Check that the door is properly aligned and the cable is routed and stored correctly. Resistance to both locking and unlocking because of door misalignment will reduce both motor and battery life. Make sure that the lock has a strong Wi-Fi connection with the router. Had a kwik one for a good 10 years that gave out but was perfect for long time. So that is why i chose this one. So glad. Works so precise every time. Very easy. Very wuick to u lovk w phone if you want. Lets me know when unlocked/locked. Also i wanted option for key even though i never tou h my keys fir anything.

Purchased 4 months ago, doesn’t stay connected to the app. Has been through x3 sets of batteries. Alway need a key as can use the code or app entry. Wish I’d purchased the 1 year bestbuy warranty. Now I have to deal directly with the company.

Solid feel - with all the tech

I spent a lot of time researching to find something that still felt like a lock but had all the tech to fit with my smart home. The best part is that I replaced a old Kwikset lock with this and we can all still use the smae key. Not that anyone uses their key any more!

When first installed it did not operate due to batteries. The included ones did not work. Needed to buy additional batteries to make operational. Only a 4 star because of that.

Blue tooth not functional

I exchanged for another in case the first was faulty but had the same issue with the second smart lock. Ended up buying Yake Assure smart lock.
