This product is cool for what it's suppose to do. It's really nice for when you need to give someone access to your home when you're away. It has a neat feature to give that person access for 24hrs only. Draw back is that they need to download the app (which they probably don't already have). Not the biggest deal. What isn't so great is when it has a hard time sensing that your phone is nearby. It will drive you nuts when it doesn't open the first time you try and you have to take your phone out of your pocket. Also, this does not integrate well with Google home setup, it's better with the Alexa setup.

This product is easy to install and operates great. I did not even add the key to my car keys.

The Kevo 2nd Gen bolt lock functions well under most circumstances. Install, set-up, and calibration was simple. I'd say 1-2 out of every 20 tries, it fails. My biggest peeve is that it unlocks slower than I'd thought it would. Several times it's taken so long to connect to my phone that it would've been faster just to take my keys out. That said, I don't carry keys anymore because this lock does function well. You need to keep the Kevo app active in the background of your phone in order for it to connect, or you'll have to open the app every time you want to use the lock, which is no better than a key. I have two installed in my house, and they both operate equally as well. Added Kevo Plus so I could use Alexa to control the locks, but she only locks and checks the lock status. Both of which can be easily done within the phone's app. The ability to remote lock/unlock the doors is of no use to me.

It’s easy to install and looks good. I’m glad you can’t tell it apart at a distance from the other locks in my condo building. But it can take 10-15 second to register when you walk up to it. In that time, I could have taken out my keys. I thought building a fob would improve the speed of recognition, but it hasn’t. Pretty pricey for tech that still has some issues.

Too many little issues to use daily, would recommend for occasional use, like forgetting keys or something along those lines. Not dependable enough to use without using your regular keys more often.

Installation was easy. Set-up of the lock to my iPhone was easy. it does't always work when you are near the lock. Sometimes you have to tap it a few times for it to recognize your phone. when it works it is a good feature.

The quality of this lock is top notch. It can only be used as an entry to the house (cannot be used with both sides of the lock outdoors). In order to use the remote lock/unlock feature you must buy the additional kevo gateway (this is a bluetooth lock and the hardware gateway adds wifi to the configuration) which costs an additional $99 at the time of this review. This is in alignment with other remote capability smart locks. It's a one-time cost and you can add multiple locks to 1 gateway. All that out of the way, this lock is excellent. I only give it 4* because of the need to buy the additional gateway to unlock all of the features. I will buy more of these locks. Standard install complexity with no surprises. On the internal component, a release screw is inserted at the factory to secure the window (batteries) and can be removed to make it tooless to replace the batteries later. The app runs in the background of you phone so there's a power cost to it but that's how these devices work. If this concerns you, you should not buy a smart lock. No fob but they can be purchased for around $20 (shouldnt need them but you could use one as a "loner" for temp access). The eKey is the more efficient way to issue temp keys. The drawback of this is whomever you issue a key to, they need to create a kevo account and install the app. This is little inconvenience for the assurance.

I wanted to get a lock that would make it easy to get into the house after walking my dogs. This lets you touch the lock or open the app on your phone and open it. Since it is bluetooth, you have to be in range to get the app to open it. And when you are leaving or entering the house, to open it by touch, the app has to be running in the background on your phone. Not optimum if your battery is under demand and you need to keep apps closed. The installation was easy, and they had videos to help.

It is really comforting to know that you are safe and sound within the confines of what you call home. There is nothing in the world more secure than knowing that you have found a product that you are able to feel comfortable in allowing it to be the one you rely upon to protect you and your family and all of your possessions I am extremely satisfied in Kēvo and it’s product that not only adds protection but also offers convenience. Great comfort when you have the two!

So far this product has been great! I read a lot of reviews online and was skeptical because many of the reviews were so-so or gave this product poor ratings. I decided to take a risk and give this a shot anyways. After about 2 weeks, I'm really liking this lock! Now, I'm not using it as an entry door lock so take that for what it's worth. I'm using this as a lock on my master bedroom door. As foster parents, we needed to limit access to our bedroom for safety and privacy reasons. Hoping that this would make it easier to go in and out frequently without using a key. The touch to open feature using Bluetooth works well, but sometimes does not connect right away and you have to touch it two or three times before it will open, making you stand there for 10-15 seconds. Installation was easy but took longer for me because I had to drill out for a new deadbolt. If you already have a deadbolt, this should take someone with no handy skills about 20-30 minutes to install. This mobile app is nice and shows if the door is locked or unlocked. You can lock or unlock from your phone when on wi-fi. You can also send ekeys to other people to allow access to the lock. The app also shows who locked/unlocked the door and when. I have other Kwikset locks on my house and the smart key feature allowed me to re-key this lock by myself to my current key in about 10 seconds. Awesome! This saved me from having to have a locksmith rekey the lock. Overall, I am satisfied with this product and would recommend it to others. I hope they come out with a combination door handle and deadbolt smart lock in the future. If you have an entry door with a separate deadbolt, that kind of defeats the purpose of this product because you still need a key to open the door handle lock. If they make a product that can do both, I'd buy it the day it comes out for my front door!

So far, Very good. I waited for the holiday season to purchase this product because the sale price would be lower. The installation was very easy and the lock and app work as advertised.

Works pretty good. Easy to install. App has to be running in background in order to work all the time. But has a low power mode.

Works well and like ability to give out temporary keys. One note to watch out for. If you have the app on and lay your phone down close by door when locked, it will allow anyone to come and touch the lock to unlock.

I have been using a Kwikset keypad lock for years. This Kevo lock is good, its sometimes takes a while to sense my presence. I don't like the three screws that must be removed to replace the batteries or reset the lock. One of the locks has needed to be reset and the bottom screw is hard to remove and replace with the door handle installed below it. I like the Kevo potential, I don't like the upcharge for access to all the Kevo advertised things like remote unlock etc.

I was not sure that I would like the Kevo when I purchased it. Kevo was easy to install & has worked perfectly every since! I now will not do without my Kevo!!

This deadbolt lock was very easy to install. No problems. Works well with android phone. You can purchase key fobs for this unit if you do not have an smartphone or can be programmed as a spare. You can issue eKeys to individuals through the app but they need to also setup the app on their phone. You need to purchase a Kevo Plus if you want to be able to lock or unlock the deadbolt via wifi. That's an additional $100.

I read about this lock and the reviews. Cost was a little high but I liked the convenience and security . Also I could return if dissatisfied. Insulation was easy and the setup with my Android phone 6.0 was also. A few try's. I also bought the FOB to give my daughter. Had a slight programing problem linking it, called tech support , had it fixed in under 2 minutes. Love this Lock

Purchased this for my front door entrance. Works very well, bluetooth with my iPhone close to lock will unlock the door. Great for entry without key.
