So far I am happy to see how this works with cardboard setup. It works & the games mini games are super fun to play with. Sadly there is no straps but one can find 3rd party straps online that go well with it. The only problem I have with it is the lens. I noticed near the edges things get a little blurry in other games like Zelda Botw & Mario Odd so I think they could have made a better lens that centers everything to look clean. I also would love to see a update patch that would increase the VR reslotution to Zelda & Mario to 720p. Over all the unit works & super fun to pick up & play.

Okay buying cardboard for almost 100 dollars is not what you would have in mind but this is one of the best labos. the mini games are entertaining and they keep releasing updates for more mini games in the labo garage. it’s a creative experience to build it than to see how cardboard can have technology for a Vr experience. Plus if your into breath of the wild, super smash brothers, captain toad, and mario Odyssey they offer a vr mode which is great but the captain toad is just curtain levels which I wasn’t too happy about but over all it’s a good experience to have but it’s expensive.

This new Labo kit is awesome! It comes with so many different things to build and you can also use them in a completely different way with the VR. Nintendo even made special modes in Mario Odyssey and Zelda: Breath of the Wild for this. It is really cool to see all of the different ideas that nintendo has for they Labo games so you definitely don't want to miss out on this one!

Like most Labo, the joy is the the journey... don't expect this to match up to PSVR or other higher end VR products... especially because Switch handheld mode only goes up to 720p - but with that said Nintendo did a good job with this... it's fun to put together and it's fun to play. This kit includes ALL the Switch VR entries, so if the price tag is too high, be sure to start with the lower priced starter kits... but definitely give it a try!

My boys were dying for this kit and got busy right away building it. The building portion keeps them busy and makes them feel accomplished, which is a nice perk. With multiple parts and a bunch of games, this is keeping them busy and they are excited to play again and again. I feel like this was a good value purchase. Highly recommend!

This was something that I was eager to get. When I saw the preorder come out for a Labo set that has VR, it was a no brainer. The VR works very well on the Switch and the amount of mini games that come in this bundle is well worth the money. Overall, a must buy if you like VR and Labo sets!

This is a really neat and creative way to play with Virtual Reality at a really affordable price (provided you already own a Nintendo Switch). The mini-games are pretty fun and the cardboard build are super creative and clever. This makes a really fun experience out of building stuff and then using said stuff in some simple games. Great for kids of all ages!

A lot of assembly is required and is best done with adult supervision. My son loves every piece in the kit. The VR is great! I'm not sure how long all the cardboard will hold up but I feel like we have already gotten our moneys worth.

My 11 year old had an absolute blast putting this together and loved the VR. Each one takes at least 45min to an hour for him to assemble. The instructions are laid out beautifully.its almost a game itself to put together.

Building the cardboard tools to interact with the game is a learning experience. Once you completely build the tool, the game design shines! The bazooka game mode in VR is truly immersive!

When I bought into the Labo VR my expectations were modest. I knew it wouldn't be a high resolution competitor to the PSVR. The builds are pretty much on par with past Labo builds in complexity but given the easy to follow interactive instructions, (a little patience) and a flat table you should be fine.
I'll admit I don't own a PSVR but trying a friends a while back I suffered from some motion sickness that made me not too keen on buying into it. With that said the mini-games are fun especially those with the blaster. Being able to use VR to look around in a 360 degree environment and shoot down aliens with a pump action blaster. The games even has a convincing surround sound effect.
If you are wanting to try out Labo VR the basic set for $40 is by far a great value. If you choose to see all of what Labo VR has to offer the $80 price tag of this set allows you to have some cool additional experiences including the camera, the elephant, the bird and the fan pedal. I liked the camera, it's simple and easy to use with a convincing 3D VR effect. The only issue I have is it's limited use which has me hoping for an unlikely Pokemon Snap integration. The elephant marble moving stages are a great addition with many levels where you move platforms and change physics to move a marble through a maze. This of the added $80 kit is what I have put the most time into and still have many more stages to complete. The 3D art studio is fun, but will likely will vary in use based on how much fun you have with your own efforts put into it. The bird stages are great where you use your hands to move some levers that move the birds wings. You collect items like fruit and fish that you collect amounts to feed to recently hatched birds that when found will fly with you. You also look for maps that show you new portions of this fairly large map. The fan offers immersion by pressing down the pedal to activate a fan that blows air toward you. In game when you press the pedal your frog jumps and you feel the rush of air as your character flies into the sky.
So again if you are wanting to try Labo VR, I highly recommend the $40 kit. If you want to build and try the other experiences in this kit, then it is fun but probably not with the same cost/value proposition that the $40 kit offers.

If you need a cheap VR set to use with your switch, this is basically your only option, but it's a great one since you get the fun of building and designing it yourself! The only thing that would've made this better was if a velcro head strap was included, but it can be easily accomplished on your own with some DIY Youtube videos

I really enjoyed my time with labo. It was a lot of fun to try and build the toy con creations with my little brother and then try them out in the minigames. The vr also works surprisingly well despite the switch’s low resolution

Like all the other Labo sets, building the toys is its own entertainment. My 8 year old son and I had a great time building the kit together. The care and attention to detail Nintendo puts into these sets really is amazing.
Once the visor and blaster were done, he immediately dove into the game itself, and loved it. While I made him take breaks, he played it through to completion and never felt any kind of motion sickness. I haven't tried it myself yet, but do want to check it out.
It also a great value since not only does the kit come with 6 toys to build and a whole slew of games, Nintendo has since released even more free downloadable games.
Highly recommended.

Playstation VR is awesome as long as you're 12 years old or older, if not, it's just a taunting demon sitting in the corner staring you down.
Such was the case for our son so it was great to be able to add this to our collection so he could get an idea of what all the fuss was about.
It's Labo so cardboard which some people aren't okay with but the quality is there, the games are fun and short which I assume they need to be for this to be playable for the target age group and best of all, they've added functionality to a couple first party titles to work with it!

Enjoying the builds which LABO has always had great directions for. The problem I am having is coming to terms with the simplicity of the variety of games in it. I know you're not paying for a VR system like the PS, but it is $79... I am hopeful that the VR playthrough of Breath of the Wild is going to be the key reason for having it and I hope they release more quality games to use with it. I would have liked a strap included though. It's tiresome to hold to your head and play with the controllers attached and especially detached. I would wait till it comes down in price or there's a sale.

Chosen as a gift for my grandson on a whim. This was so much better than my grandson expected it would be. The build was fun and the video instructions made this a breeze. We have tried some of the mini games and both agree that this is a product well worth the price. You get so much more than JUST cardboard. The software is in there too and there is additional software so you can make your creations work the way you want. A fantastic gift for the kid in S.T.E.M. programs.
