It's definitely a good entry point into VR, costing only $40.00. The only drawback is no headstrap and resolution could be better.

The VR itself is a little blurry, but that ultimately didn't matter. The games are short, simple, colorful little bits of fun that don't really demand long play sessions. The real impressive part of this package, though, is building the accessories. This was my first labo experience, and it was surprisingly entertaining. Great step-by-step guide provided by the software, with tons of charm and personality. Catchy music, too. Highly recommended!

My son wanted a VR headset and we found this one on sale for the deal of the day. Well worth it! My son absolutely loves the VR headset and games. He and my husband put everything together. The blaster took longer than expected to assemble but it gave them an opportunity to do something together that didn’t involve a screen. They both had fun playing the games together too.

This has been great for use with the Nintendo Switch. With the kids home all the time, this allows for exploration and learning with a device they are easily willing to try out. The hardest part is getting them to take turns. It also works well to with the Switch system and as an adult, I agree that this is a must-have addition. Buy it on sale when possible for $20.

Like most Labo, the joy is the the journey... don't expect this to match up to PSVR or other higher end VR products... especially because Switch handheld mode only goes up to 720p - but with that said Nintendo did a good job with this... it's fun to put together and it's fun to play. The lower priced starter kits make it easy and affordable for anyone to give it a try... which II do recommend that you do!

I bought this for my 6 year old who loves everything Nintendo and Mario. Putting together the goggles was a little time consuming for little ones with little patience. Also note that this isnt true VR (at least not yet considering the games it currently ties into like Mario Odyssey, Captain Toad, and Smash Bros). We've played Odyssey on it and it was okay, a little blurry for me but my little liked and couldn't put it down.

I was a big fan of all of the LABO kits released so far, and this one is no different. Building the headset was pretty fun and the included VR mini-games are pretty decent. Playing other Switch games that support the VR Mode is rather difficult for a long session unless you invest in some sort of head strap for the headset. Very good value if you can get it on sale.

Bought while on sale, so my boys would have something to do while stuck at home. They loved it. Allowed them to work together to build the pieces together, which was great. I was able to try it out, and it was quite entertaining. We have a small spinning stool that worked really great with it; could easily spin around in the center of the room.

This is my second Labo kit, and my first VR experience. While nowhere near as immersive as the Vive or Oculus, both of which I’ve demoed, the Labo VR is still a fun experience. Just like other Labo kits, building the devices are worth the price of admission, so I’m very lenient with judgement of the software. If you want to give VR a try, without sinking hundreds of dollars into it, try out the Labo kit!

This has two great things. 1) it allows you to construct multiple items 2) the game is really fun I docked one star because the assembly it the googles and gun are very time consuming, which is good. However, someone under 7-8 May need considerable help. Its a lot of pieces; and the instructions are displayed via the game console or tv. It is worth the purchase

The cardboard kit, instructions, and build is very creative and well thought out. The software on the other hand Could be better. Instead they are more of a collection of concept mini games. The blaster game is much better. The kit in all takes a couple of hours and a bit more if the kids are involved. In all it is a great activity to do with the kids.

This is definitely worth every cent if the price and then some! It was slightly challenging to build but it has been a 'blast' using it. I was extremely surprised in the quality and responsiveness of the goggles in the games. We have some more exploring to do with this and we hope to see more games to use with this.

My son has switch, and for myself, I own an Oculus go. My son is all the time wanting to play on my Oculus, so I decided I'd by his own VR for the switch. I never messed with the Nintendo L.A.B.O before. I thought it would be fun to put it together with my son, and it was at first. Little did I know it took near an hour just to put first part together. So my son and I put it together on and off it took a good 4 to 5 hours. We all done I wanted to see how it would work before I set my son free with it. I wanted to see how it would hold it up. Well it did not hold up. It's made out of cardboard, everything is cardboard. The trigger mecanizim started to rip apart from the rubber band. To get to it you have to take everything apart. Needless to say my son and I have not played with it at all. We knew what it took to put it together, and we did not want to do that again.

Nintendo Labo VR kit is the best entry point into VR if you have a Nintendo Switch. The kit is really fun to build and the blaster adds a level of immersion not seen in other VR kits. Although the Switch's resolution is lower, it still works well as the games don't go for realism. It will be even more worthwhile once VR comes to Mario Odyssey and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

This is a fun game and fun to build and assemble but it does take up a lot of space. You need to keep the cardboard around to play the games so you need to have space for this but if you do i say its worth the price. Its fun to assemble and the games are a blast too.

My 8 yr. old son had been wanting this thing for the longest. Luckily we had our GCU which brought down the price. It's a good way for you to bond with your child while you build this. Took us almost an hour trying to build the gun and VR. He really enjoyed it though and now plays it non stop I think he said you can create your own game as well.

The kids loved it. The creating process and then being able to use what they created. I couldn’t see myself paying the retail price because of it being made of cardboard but after building it, it was very amazing to see how creative the creators of these games have gotten.
