Bought this replacement Battery thinking that the higher cost factor would be a proof of better quality. I was disappointed with the vast weight of the produce (should have read that in the description first). Not ideal for portable laptop purposes. As this is a laptop that I use for field work, carrying the laptop these days is not very enjoyable. Battery drains faster than expected. Discription proclaims approx 3 hrs more than what the actual battery life time is. I could havea bought lighter, better battery for less money spent on this one, will be reading the customer reviews more closer in the future.

I recommend buying this battery because it has a long duration and left my lap top hp dv7 like new again.

I have owned an HP brand battery for my computer and it never lasted more than 1 hour. This new battery is the best i have ever used in any laptop. Not only does it last over 5-8 hours but it charges in a jiffy,

I bought this battery because my original battery stopped charging! It works well and fit right on my computer and so far has worked well! It arrived on time. I have no complaints at all, very happy!

I tried to order a battery & it was the wrong one so I took it to the store. The customer service agent had to get one of the Geek Squad members and helped me return it and order another. (I did not have my laptop with me so it was difficult). I got that battery and it fit but did not have the elevated lip on it to help elevate my laptop. I took it back but they could not help me because it came from a parts store. I did have my laptop this time but they would not help me order and just referred me to the website where the pictures of the batteries are terrible. It is difficult to tell whether or not it is the correct battery. I am very discouraged and after a month & a half still fighting my old battery that only lasts about an hour now.

Battery is working good..Just wish it lasts longer. After fully charged, I have my laptop running all day then would have to plug in the power a second time to charge it.

Way better than the original and really am impressed by how well it holds a charge.

It came at a good price, and the little "legs" that are attached to it make viewing my laptop much easier by improving the angle that it sits at when on a desk, cool!

Bought this battery when I noticed my present battery was slowly losing its charge. So far, it is good value for the money. The battery does have a nice long charge. Can work on something and not have to worry recharging frequently. The only thing that some may not like is: this battery has a stand which will elevate the laptop's back a couple inches. You will have a slight angle. Not sure if this is so the laptop won't sit flat on a table top - which will help keep it from heating up. Some may not like this feature - it does get some getting used to.

What can I say? It's a battery and it works by charging my notebook so I can use it as a laptop.

The battery sent for this product was a 14.4v 96 Wh (No mAh rating on battery or box) that's about 6700 mAh NOT 7800 mAh. A 14.4v @ 7800 mAh would be 115 Wh. The laptop also sees it as only as 96,000 mWh I feel I did not get what I paid for hence the 2 stars.

No doubt a good battery but did not fit HP DV7 with battery 593550-001. It is 2 inches too long. Maybe add physical dimensions to the specifications to keep this from happening?
