Not waterproof. Avoid

This lock is useless because it is not waterproof – something that Ellipse fail to mention in any of their marketing material. When my lock was bricked by an ingress of water, they promised me a replacement. I sent the original lock back and have heard nothing since – worse, they have ignored repeated requests for information. Avoid this product.

It's hard to imagine my life without keyless entry for my car. Now I have a feeling the same thing is going to happen with my bike. And I can have my buddies borrow, or pick my bike up for me when we are out at bars or at concerts/music festivals like ACL and Coachella. I even added a bike rental option to my Airbnb page when I rent my house out.
Works like a charm out of the box, just make sure you have the latest app update. I like that it's solar powered so I never have to charge it. I can also open it using the digital keypad on the side if my phone is not with me or runs out of battery.

No Customer Service

My lock worked fine for about a year, but then broke down (seemingly due to a software problem). I've been trying to resolve it for about a year, but have gotten virtually no response. Hard to say if it's bad customer service because it's actually non-existent customer service. Would be better if they just responded and said "sorry, even though our product failed, there's nothing we can do about it". That would make it easier to move on instead of holding out hope they'll actually engage and try to resolve this problem.
