    Needed in this new world

Any typed password... it can eventually be found out, cracked, or exposed. And this is NO good when it comes to financial things... especially in the Crypto world. Crypto isn't like the banks of the last 200 years. There is no customer service person that is going to help you out, or float you a loan if your finances are compromised. In the Crypto, everything can be gone in a blink... and gone for good. Hence the need for good security and protection, and that is what this key does. It is an offline, Crypto Wallet, that supports pretty much all the current top and popular Cryptocurrencies. It provides your digital key to access the accounts, and do transactions, without exposing your critical private data, that would be needed by someone else to basically steal your value. Setup: So it does take some time. 15-30 minutes for most. It is methodical, almost condescending at time, but for good reason. When it tell you to write something down, you have to do it. It is for your own good. As you will find, that is the only way you will be able to recover if the key is lost or stolen. And without that, poof... you will completely lose access to any value you have on those coins. Only nit pick, is that I wish the included cable was longer, simply because of the logistics of my computer setup. The inline LED display is bright and easy to read, even without my glasses. After going through the setup, I was able to use the Ledger app along with it... and was ready to go, and had new accounts setup for Bitcoin, ETH, Doge, and DigiByte. looking forward to more being added soon. It looks like your normal USB Stick, but it isn't. It is much more, and is anything but a usb stick. But it is small, comes with lanyard or keychain option. If you are planning to even remotely into the Crypto currency game, you need one of these. doing it using P@ssw00d0neT203 as your super duper secret password, is only going to eventually lead to misery. Start off right, get the hardware Wallet. And this one is as good as any, and really straight forward and easy to use.

I like the idea of this. For me however, I have a dozens of alt coin investments and the 2 to 3 app limit kind of limits the utility of this card. I will say that if you have a light portfolio this may be for you. Crypto is so new and the values have yet to stabilize. This USB wallet keeps your coins in a safe place as opposed to keeping them online where the security is in the hands of a third party. Setting this up is very easy and you're only required to write down your passphrases for recovery. No one can recover your coins with the passphrases. This is your Crypto wallet in your hand!

I'm pretty new to the world of crypto but the Ledger Nano S was super quick and easy to setup and load funds onto. As someone new to crypto, I feel comfortable knowing that my investments are safe and secure since my wallet is totally offline. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking to invest into cryptocurrancy

Pretty easy to use cold storage

This is my first cold storage option for crypto and while I'm not blown away by it or anything, I don't think I'm supposed to be. It does a job and it does it pretty well. Setup is a process but it's pretty easy to follow their steps to get it done. You pick a passcode for unlocking the device and then it instructs you to write down each of the 24 code words that you'll need to use if you ever need to recover your wallet. You'll want to make sure you keep this safe and they give you multiple cards you can write your codes on. You'll probably want to store this in a safe or safety deposit box or somewhere. The Nano S appears to only work with a desktop application. There is an iOS application but it doesn't actually connect to the device at all. It just syncs with the desktop app. When you try and do things like receive money from the iOS application there's a big "This address is not verified!" warning since it can't talk to the actual device. But since this is a cold storage, I don't find that to be too much of a big deal. I can connect it to my PC and verify the info on the device and on my PC before sending or receiving. When using the PC app and the device, it's pretty easy to use. A couple things that could be a little better about the device starts with memory space. It's tiny. The BitCoin "app" for the device takes up a huge chunk of the available memory. Most of the coins that you can install apps for are much smaller but it just feels really small for this day and age. I'm pretty sure some of my toddler's toys have a larger memory than this thing. I haven't had any actual issues with the memory size yet but I'm a casual crypto user and only really need BTC and BCH. People with a lot of different coins might start seeing issues. The screen is pretty small. Verifying some coin addresses take up 4 pages on the screen you need to scroll through. It's also not touch screen at all so you have to operate everything via the 2 buttons. It's not hard to operate with those 2 buttons but it is kind of slow and awkward. If you're planning on interacting with it many times per hours or something, you might get pretty annoyed. if you're only going to interact with it to dump some coins to it every once and a while before locking it up somewhere, it won't be a big deal. Overall, this is a cool little gadget that doesn't feel too expensive. It has some shortcomings but if you're looking for security and some cold storage for your cryptocoins then you might want to pick this up. If you're a heavy coin carrier and plan to move things to and from cold storage often you might want to look for something with a larger memory or a better input system.

So, I receive the Ledger Nano S and I’m thinking cool, this is what I need to manage digital currency. Years ago, I tried understanding bitcoin and collected a few dollars’ worth. Nothing even near 1 bitcoin, but just a fraction of one. I gave up because I didn’t understand it. I’m trying again to understand, and I thought this would help. I have an account with an online site and assumed I could just add it to the Nano S and have access to it on the wallet as well as my PC. As far as I understand, that’s not how it works. I could send my current holdings to the wallet, but that depletes my current online account. I’ve just got that working, so no I don’t want to mess that up. I watched a video on it and if I understand it correctly, I have to send it to the wallet, otherwise, if I could move it, it will double my funds with an additional Ledger account…and that’s not going to happen. So, what do I think about the Nano S.? Well, it’s simple to use. I just followed the screen prompts on the device, and it set up in about 5 minutes. The only issue I have is my eyesight isn’t as good as it used to be and even with glasses, reading the tiny screen was a chore. I used my glasses with a magnifying glass or a second pair over the first ones just to make out some of the tasks. Those with great eyewear or eyesight will have no problem reading the screen as the blue stands out from the screen very well. Other than the initial setup and charging the device, it’s ready to go. It does come with a key ring and a leash, but I haven’t attached them. I like it just like a folding USB stick. The box also contains a USB micro charging cable, recovery sheets (a tedious task so you can recover your account should you need to). Even though it’s tedious, I get the long setup and handwritten passwords to secure one’s account. I do wish the charging port was USBc and not the old Micro USB port. USBc ports make it easier for those of us that are seeing impaired to get the plug in the first time. And since I’m not going to merge or send my current account to the Ledger Nano S, you may wonder what I’ll do with it. Well once I understand how to buy digital currency on it, I’ll just have two digital accounts online. One on my PC’s and one on the Nano S. Down the road when I get a better handle on how things work, I’ll probably make one account. I’m guessing it will be on the Nano or a digital wallet available at that time. If I live long enough, I believe we’ll all need some form of wallet to do everyday tasks, just as we do with ATM/debit cards today.

Good Hardware Wallet for storing some crypto

I'm still more or less what you'd call "noob" at crypto currency. Like many out there the FOMO of missing out on the next Bitcoin is all too much of a draw to not get in to it. I don't have all that diverse of a portfolio. There are some coins I do have that are not yet supported or won't be supported via Ledger Live due to being on the ERC-20 blockchain variety which is unfortunate. Of the ones supported that I do have a tiny stake in, installing the app through the Ledger Live app on PC is a breeze. My only critique is that the device still relies on the antiquated Micro-USB connection. I know that the Ledger's have been around for a while, and so has Type-C, so it would be nice to see this implemented. I say this because connecting to your phone is very cumbersome because you're going to need a certain cable, or an adapter then a standard USB-A to Micro cable. The fact phones are using Type C and USB-A makes the Micro port choice perplexing. Thankfully I had Type-C to USB-A adapter from a tablet I had years ago, but it looked horrid connecting that, then connecting the Micro cable and connecting it to the Ledger. Hopefully if an updated model is released they'll implement Type-C to give more universal options. All in all it's easy enough to use. Ledger Live is pretty informative with it's setup process and makes it a breeze to store your crypto somewhere safe. If you take crypto investments seriously, get yourself a Hardware wallet.

After a few years mining crypto and experimenting with software wallets I was always paranoid about the "what if my computer broke or was replaced" how would this digital currency transfer. Then one day a neighbor who taught me how to mine crypto died from a stroke. It was discovered that he didn't share any of the passwords to his crypto computers with his wife. Consequently it was also discovered that Apple TouchID doesn't unlock your phone when you are dead which is where the wallet was stored. Morbid, but true. I digress. The point is I saw first hand how fragile digital currency can be. The Crypto Hardware Wallet eases some of those concerns as long as you take the necessary manual steps to write down the recovery keys and store them in a place your loved ones will have access to upon your demise. Also helpful would be a document with detailed steps on what the heck crypto currency is and how they can translate it back to US dollars.

    Crypto-Security you can Physically Hold!

The Ledger - Nano S Crypto Hardware Wallet brings physical contact to the crypto-universe by allowing you to physically hold and maintain your wallets in your hand rather than in the cloud. All the security, without the risk of "what-if" like in the early days of crypto when websites came and went and wallet safe words were lost. I found this hardware wallet to be easy to set up, easy to use, and secure! I just lock it away in my safe when I am not using it and I know that only I have access to my crypto-currency and I have zero risk of losing it due to a website failure or closure! PROS - LEDGER's design and quality - Physical wallet - Completely secure - Step-by-step setup and passphrase - Easy to read - 2-button functionality CONS - None at this time.

Okay, if you want a ledger, this one is great. It's extremely secure, it's very easy to use. It took less than 30 minutes to set up (It tells you it will take 30 minutes to set up). However, if you follow the onscreen prompts you'll be on your way to using your ledger in no time at all. They have made it now where you can purchase and swap crypto without having to remove your crypto from your ledger and place it on a excahgne. I would definitely suggest getting the one with more room though simply because you can really only put about four crypto currencies on this particular one. However if you're only wanting to put four or less, than this ledger is perfect for your.

Device works great. I personally had no problems getting it to install, or function correctly. As many of you already know when it comes to crypto, the recovery phrase is crucial. The ledger has a great setup process, so just take your time and carefully write down the words in the recovery phrase cards provided. These little guys are secure as all get out also. Ready to travel with, very compact and well designed. All those nice things I said, kudos Ledger, but when you get into the nuts and bolts, this is so not worth your money due to one fact, size. Wow, talk about a let down. Capacity is a meager138 kb. You have to install each crypto app which some are as large as 98 kb, leaving you with 40kb left. That's with NO crypto stored on it. Supposedly this supports over 25 coins at this time. You can uninstall apps after you've moved that particular coin, and re-download them whenever you want, so that's good, and you don't have to store all your crypto at once, well, even if you wanted to you couldn't. But still, why bother, with eating transaction fees every time you move crypto around, you want to do it as least amount of times as possible. Buy a bigger cold wallet and you'll not have to worry about the storage shortcomings of this wallet. I waited for a long time to get my hands on this one. Todays day and age, this is the cold wallet equivalent to a free 1GB USB stick hard-drive handout, that companies give away with their logo on it, from a trade show.

The cases of Cryptocurrency theft are rampant and frustrating. Bitcoin investment is meant to be smooth and direct but a whole lot of people already turned it to a means to deprive innocent people of their hard earn funds. In a situation like this, all you need is proper recovery company to help you recover your bitcoin. Bitcoin recovery is very possible so far as you’re making use of a very good professional and reliable hacker. Many companies out there can help you recover your Crypto but it’s better and more advisable you make use of a tested and trusted hacker to help you get it done. (proassetrecoveryexpert@ gmail com) a hacker with qualified expertise that can help you. They helped me when I lost about 3.09BTC to a wrong investment website and went further to fix my credit report which was the actual reason I contacted him

my advice to new bitcoin investors is for you to do thorough investigations before investing your funds with any of these traders. They first gain your trust by making a small profit, and then block your money for no apparent reason when you invest a large amount. I was just barely lucky enough to get 70 percent of my funds back, thanks to Zatt a recovery Guru Called Zatt pro who i found on Quora.
