The ledger nano s plus is an excellent choice for the price as a beginner wallet, but I do wish it had better support for iOS, fully open source hardware and software, and the ability to buy it with crypto. But it's still an excellent choice

The Ledger Nano S Plus is top notch! Compact, easy to use and super secure for storing cryptos. The extra capacity for more coins and apps makes all the difference. If you want to protect your digital assets, it's definitely worth it!

Great cold wallet device to safely store your crypto, I've purchased 2 of these at Best Buy so far. I did have to go to 2 different locations to get them (as both stores only had one on hand). Makes me think I'm slightly ahead of the curve. Regardless, very easy to use and easy to set up.

The Nano S Plus has more storage 1.28 MB compared to the Nano S 138 KB. Which should be enough storage for all the tokens you want to hold.

While it is a great entry-level crypto cold wallet, it is well worth spending the extra $30-$50 for a model with Bluetooth capability and easier to access interface. That this is probably one of the best entry-level cold Crypto wallets on the market. So if all you’re looking for is the basics that should do you fine.

The Ledger Nano S Plus is a must have hardware wallet in the cryptocurrency world. It is easy to use, even for the most novice of users. It protects your digital cryptocurrency assets by keeping them in cold storage and never exposing your private key online. Pros: * Packaging - The Ledger Nano S Plus comes in a small, minimalistic package. It contains everything you need to get started including the Ledger device, USB-A to USB-C cable, quick start guide, and 3 secret recovery sheets. * Setup - It is very straightforward and takes 20-30 minutes. The quick start guide directs you to ledger.com/start. You download the Ledger app for your respective operating system (Windows, Mac, or Linux). Once installed, you connect the device to your computer via the provided cable and follow the step-by- step instructions within the app. It first gives you the option to setup a new device or recover a device. During a new device setup, you select a pin (4-8 digits) and are given a recovery phrase of 24 randomly generated words. It is very important that you write down the recovery phrase and keep it secret. If the device were to stop working, the recovery phrase is the only way to recover your wallet. If someone were to come into possession of your recovery phrase, they could steal your cryptocurrency. Don't take a picture of the recovery phrase and do not upload it to any cloud service. These are all avenues for a hacker to gain access to your account. I wrote down my recovery phrase, laminated the paper, and put it in my safe. Once you are given the recovery phrase, the Ledger device will have you confirm the phrase by choosing the correct word from 4 choices for all 24 randomly generated words. This is done by using the two buttons on the side of the device to toggle forward and backward. Lastly, the Ledger app runs a security check to make sure the Ledger hardware has not been compromised. The device is now ready to use! * Ledger Live App - This app is required to connect to the wallet and interact with your assets. Ledger says it supports over 5,500 different cryptocurrencies and the Ledger Nano S Plus can install about 100 applications at a time. Once connected to the Ledger Live App, you simply select the cryptocurrency accounts you want, it downloads to the device, and you are ready to send or receive cryptocurrency. I added BTC, XLM, and ETH. Sending cryptocurrency to the hardware wallet is easy. Go to the receive tab, select the cryptocurrency account (i.e. BTC) and follow the instructions. It will give you a receive address that can be entered from the sending account (i.e.: if you use Coinbase or other exchange to buy cryptocurrency you would click send currency and input the address). I highly recommend you send a small amount first to make sure the transaction goes through, and it appears on your Ledger Live App. Once you have a successful transaction you can safely send the rest. If you send to the wrong address, in almost all cases the cryptocurrency is gone forever. The Ledger Live App has the ability to buy and sell directly on the platform; however, you can only sell in BTC. There is also a swap function but only select cryptocurrencies are supported. Hopefully over time, more are added (especially alt coins). * Security - Uses an industry leading certified chip (CC EAL5+) designed to keep your assets safe. Overall, if you are going to buy, hold, or sell cryptocurrency I highly recommend owning a Ledger Nano S Plus hardware wallet. It is easy to use, reliable, and will keep your digit assets safe. Don't risk your cryptocurrency by leaving it on an exchange.

If You’ve own Crypto…You Need LEDGER NANO S PLUS!

I have been dabbling in Crypto since 2019 throwing money in here and there. It’s fun, it’s new and who knows…in 20 years could be worth a fortune!! I set up my initial account to buy crypto through a popular coin purchasing app and throw some cash in regularly. It has been fun to watch it grow. Recently I read a story about the app I buy my crypto on and that if it were to go out of business, the funds (including mine) could be forfeited! Not sure it’s possible that could even happen but how would I get my crypto into another storage place? If the app stopped working…what would I do? And there in lies the reason I wanted to get a hardware wallet! I was a little intimated by getting a hardware wallet. All the digital wallets and ones tied to an app are easier initially to set up. but again…they go bye bye and then what? The apps control the keys. I wanted to control the keys! I grabbed the Ledger Nano S Plus and began a new and more secure phase of crypto ownership. Crypto is here to stay and you either get on the band wagon or miss out of the opportunity and fun. I love that it bypasses all the gatekeepers (banks and government) and is it’s own thing. That is freedom. I opened up the Ledger Nano S Plus box and it is a well built usb drive looking device with a little LED and two buttons. so far so good. Then I got to the instruction. 24 word erase that if you lose it…well kiss your crypto goodby. The quick start up guide advised to set aside 30 minutes to set it all up. Gulp. I decided to wait till the next morning as I was two adult beverages into the evening and wanted a clear head. I was excited to set it up. If your into Crypto you are probably into tech so even though it is a little more complicated than just plugging in a usb drive it is fun to learn and push your comfort zone and wade into new tech. I plugged it in and downloaded “Ledger Live”. Ledger live is the main interface and it is really sleek. It is feels like all the other coin exchange apps but looks and is functionally a lot better. When it syncs with the Nano S is is literally like pulling the crypto from the cloud based web and putting it into this little drive. I’m getting a head of myself… So I created my pin and recorded my 24 word recover phrase and was ready to put some coin on the Nano S. NOTE: Ledger says it a bunch but it bears repeating…take you time and write down the 24 words very carefully…Don’t rush…double check… take a pic store the little note card they provide somewhere safe!!!! I hopped onto youtube and typed in how to transfer bitcoin from my coin exchange app to my Nano S Plus and after 5 minutes I had a 100 bucks of bitcoin transferred to my Nano S as a test run. Super easy after set up and short youtube video. I stared at the Nano S Plus knowing that the keys to my Coins were in my hands and not an app somewhere. Peace of mind. It also will hold NFT’s. I have not waded into that arena yet. But it’s on my list of to do’s and the Nano S Plus will facilitate that nicely. The Nano S Plus has every coin i could think of that I would want! Tons! Overall, as a relative newbie, I am super happy with the Ledger Nano S. It has all the coins I trade and then some. The “Live Ledger app” is super cool and functional and my coins are safe.

The subscription-based service called “Ledger Recover” effectively grants the manufacturer access to clients’ seed phrases; defeating the purpose of using a cold wallet in the first place. THE WHOLE POINT OF A HARDWARE IS TO REMAIN OFFLINE IN THE FIRST PLACE !!!!!! LEDGER YOU SCREWED UP AND I WILL NEVER BUY A PRODUCT FEOM YOU AGAIN !!!!YOU CANNOT BE TRUSTED !!!!
