I have been waiting a while for Lego to release an expansion to Dimensions. I've already played through all of the level packs and was in need of a whole new world. They captured the Harry Potter universe while distinctively being Lego. The new characters are a welcome change although their powers really aren't all that different from Gandalf and The Wicked Witch. The world and different levels are what really stick out. I'm not a fan of having to fetch different pieces to make a new portal all over again but the experience feels less painful than it did during my first run-through in Dimensions (especially the Portal levels). I'm not sure if this is worth the full retail price but Best Buy had it on sale during Black Friday and the sale press made this well worth it. Now I just have to go back and find all the gold bricks throughout each level. Fans of Dimensions and Harry Potter will enjoy this. It doesn't do anything to really change the formula from the first game but that's OK as we now have a vast Harry Potter universe to explore.

Lego is fun and then you get to play with it on the big screen. It’s an interesting game with a lot of characters and challenges. If you liked Disney infinity you will like this.

My daughter loves the LEGO dimensions stuff. She already enjoys LEGOs by itself, then playing with them on the game after is so much fun for her.

Watched the movie with my wife a while back and really fun to play this after recently seeing the film. Really fun playable story and cool it connects to the rest of the Dimensions stuff (coins, characters, etc.). This is our first Story Pack and we will definitely be trying the others now!

This Lego Dimensions set was bought to add to our already massive collection. It doesn't disappoint. It is comparable in quality to the other sets, after all it is a Lego product. The great thing about this set is just how much content you get with it. It's practically like a whole game in itself. I was skeptical at first as to why this set was so expensive compared to the level packs, but it was totally worth it!

This story pack is a great addition to the Lego Dimensions collections. Overall, Lego Dimensions is a lot of fun. My kids (6 and 9 years) enjoy playing the game and building the sets, even though they have not watched this movie yet. It doesn't seem to matter to them, they just play the story regardless of prior knowledge of the story line.

Playing this is like being in the movie. Not too easy but not to hard. Lots of fun. The more characters that you have the better but you do not need to have more to play.

Lego Dimensions Fantastic Beasts Story Pack is a great addition to the Lego Dimensions game! The movie was great and it is so much fun to play it on Lego Dimensions.

LEGO Dimensions certainly upped the ante for their second year. Amongst the 14 famous franchises it had at first like the Simpsons and Back to the Future, 16 more have joined the ranks, including the legendary Harry Potter franchise. But, so it wouldn't miss out on the fun, it's prequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, has also joined the fray, taking wizards and witches back to 1920s New York City, years before the rise of Voldemort. There's no Hogwarts, no Dumbledore, no Hogwarts Express; there's only a hidden wizard society and a group out to eradicate them much like the Salem Witch Trials. Enter Newt Scamander, a man who's got a case full of dozens of magical creatures, including the money addicted Niffler. But poor old Newt's got his hands full when those creatures are accidentally set loose, setting on the wrath of the anti-wizard group and the Magical Congress of the United States of America. Now he has to get out into the world and look for those missing creatures before they cause trouble and fully expose the wizard world to the No-Maj (that's American for the more familiar term Muggles). What makes this particular pack enjoyable is to be able to play through the entire movie, much like Ghostbusters did last wave. So, you not only explore the entire world of Fantastic Beasts, you can complete the story by interacting with it as needed. All you have to do is build the new base, in the form of MACUSA, and plop down Newt and his Niffler to explore this world. It also helps that Eddie Redmayne is doing the voice of the character again, though it uses new dialogue and archived audio, depending on the instance. To anyone who's seen the movie and enjoyed his performance, this will be a treat. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I'd recommend waiting to buy this until you do, so you can compare the differences. It's basically the same story, but scrunching it into six levels has left out some key details to be certain, so make sure to see the film so you're not missing out on the full experience. Overall, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is more than welcome to LEGO Dimensions. It's, dare I say, fantastic!

Mix the fun of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Lego video games and you get another great addition to the Lego Dimensions. This is a large expansion to the game with multiple levels that are based on the recent Fantastic Beasts movie. Lots of the regular Lego jokes and some cameos from the other Lego Dimensions characters. It feels a little short for the cost but it has more pieces which make up for that. Plus you can now use these items with the rest of your Lego Dimensions game.

If you enjoy Lego Dimensions then you will want to get this story pack also! Especially if you can get it while on sale as when that happens this is a steal but worth full price also!

Bought this on sale with a lot of other dimensions kits. My son has really loved the game and the Lego minifigures that come with the game. Hours of fun for him.

My kids and I love this game for the game night. It is fun to get the different kits and see where all you can go.

LEGOs and Video games. The kids love being the characters in the game. They also playing with the characters.

Works with all platforms LEGO Dimensions is on, the gameplay story follows with the Fantastic Beasts movie.

this is a great game, its too bad lego is discontinuing it.

Though I'm not familiar with the source material, these new levels were still very fun to play. You are able to use any of your existing characters so you can go through these levels playing as your favorite character.
