Good family game that follows the first two moviee in the trilogy. Alot of puzzles to solve and humorous moments added into the game. My only gripe is certain doors and puzzles can only be solved by certain characters which you dont always have access to.

Lego The hobbit is amazing, it's a fun and funny game that you can enjoy with your family.
The only bad thing it's that the game don't have the last movie of the Trilogy. So basically you play 2 of the 3 movies.

Great story and game play. Graphics are awesome. Lego puts a comical twist to some of the items that can be collected on your journey

Let's start off with the bad; the story only covers the first two movies and the DLC to add the 3 movie was canceled, so the story isn't resolved in game. The different characters have a variety of skills for navigating the environment, and later in the game you get a large number of items with extra abilities, which should be a positive. However, the menu system is way too clunky to support all these options, and since your companions are a bunch of dwarves it takes a while to remember who has the ability you need. The combat is nothing to write home about. Okay, that's out of the way.
The environments make excellent use of the Lego style, both building them up and smashing them apart. The levels are fun excuses to wreck havok, and the story sections are pretty good at laying the movie dialog on top of goofy Lego antics. Most of the individual abilities are fun to use and there are a ton of opportunities to use them both in level and on the massive world map. The game has good use of 2 player co-op whether you're teaming up in the story or wandering separately across the world. Despite the lack of an ending, there's a ton of content here.

We upgraded to an Xbox One from a Nintendo Wii last Christmas. We loved playing the Lego games on the Wii, and this was an easy transition.
The extended mini challenges made for some thought outside of the normal game play.
The only downside it that it is too short.
It doesn't include the third movie, or not even the option to download it as an add on. If that was available it would be 5 stars.

Graphics are great. The action, progression of the game are great. Though rated E, I'm on the border whether it is good for children under 8 due to violence. It is not gory, just alot of fighting. Actions and graphics, recommend. Level of violence, on the border.

This is my first experience playing a Lego game. I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan so figured why not it was 11 dollars. I would say this game is actually one of the better games ive played in awhile. The lego people make it fun to play a little different than what I usually play. If you can find it cheap snatch it up give it a shot.
This would also be good for kids if you have any.

My kids always like the Lego games and this one is no exception. Follows the typical Lego formula of playing through the game and then the world is unlocked for you to go on collecting items and completing quests. If you like Lego games, you'll like this one!

My youngest grand daughter loves this game, so we bought it. She has fun trying to figure things out to accomplish her best to help the characters. It keeps her active, in her thinking of the next move.

I would recommend this for family fun. Unfortunately, adding a second player for coach coop play is not intuitive! But it was worth the time spent if you love the hobbit movies.

My children have been playing lego games for years and this is the best one yet. They played it for several hours on Christmas morning. Runs well on the XBOX One console.

The game, like all of the LEGO games are amazing. One of the best in my opinion. However, it's only the first 2 movies and does not have the third movie (and allegedly it'll never be added through DLC). There really isn't anything saying this. Great game, but it's unfortunate the the last part of the trilogy will never show up.
