Posted .With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

slow and annoying
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the slowest computer I have seen in 30 years. the shift button on the right side is small and usually makes you hit the page up button. i don't use capitals on this machine because it takes too long to fix a sentence no back lite on the keyboard, black keys, finding them below the lit up screen is nearly impossible.

Posted .This system should be a fast system with its AMD A12 processor and 8GB of RAM. Be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programing errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. Transfers files in just seconds. I have it for 2 days now and I don't see any problem using it. I use it a lot, play games, watch/stream videos, skype call, play movies and all seem to flow very well. Also download/installs Microsoft updates in seconds. Strong and durable material. Also, tested Burns CD/DVD in seconds Best laptop for the price. Paid $350.00 in store :) one minor problem is that Shift key on right side is small and you may need to get used to it when typing.

Read the 4 page instructions which direct you to remove the hard drive before you can access the battery!! It is totally insane.

I bought this for a present for a friend and he is so amazed by the speed and capabilities of this laptop. I am not sure who reads these reviews, but found that this laptop has Radeon R7 Graphics, and not R4 as in the description, so it needs to be changed. I also found that the Memory slot that is accessible can be upgraded from 4GB to a 16GB DDR4 2400 to make the total RAM 20GB and will make this laptop SCREAM I am sure! I love this laptop!

A certified technician needs to perform the work to upgrade the RAM so as to not void the warranty. The version of integrated graphics processing on the AMD A12-9700P processor is the AMD Radeon R5 Graphics version.

This was the best choice that was available at the store. Steam games run perfectly fine and this is actually an R7 integrated graphics chip, not sure why it's advertised as R4. I checked all the system settings and it's definitely R7. Anyways an overall great laptop that's fast and responsive.

But once you create your account and go to your desktop, shut down then restart, boot time is so fast. I play games from 2013 on back and very few 2015/2016 games. This computer can handle Fallout New Vegas at max settings. Sims 3 at max settings, Sims 4 at medium-high settings. Command and Conquer 4 at max settings. And minecraft is REALLY smooth! Both gamers and everyday users will love this computer. Only downside is Windows 10. But if you have an installation disc, you can switch to Windows 7. But you need to change your BIOS to allow older OS. It's easy and harmless. I hope this helps whoever is thinking about buying this! If not, if you can, ask me questions!

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Took it out of the box setup was easy and smooth easy to use you can't beat the price for the computer how big of a motherboard it has can handle any computer game because other places is charging a hundred to two hundred more for the same computer highly recommended the only thing is a little glitch where when you have all the sleep mode on for some reason the computer will turn itself off for no reason so to fix it for now I took all the sleep mode off except for the hard drive and wait until Lenovo or Microsoft comes up with an update to fix it

I am not a fan of the design at all. The right shift key is hard to reach, which makes typing pretty difficult, and the edges leave marks on your skin. Also, the battery life is TWO HOURS after a full charge. I would only recommend if you are looking for an affordable laptop to play MMOs on.

I don't like how the display dims while on battery (and I can't figure out how to change this), the battery life is not great and takes as long to charge fully as the battery lasts when not plugged in (less than 2 hours), and the camera is pretty shoddy with poor quality. I read a ton of reviews before purchasing this and I'm disappointed these issues did not come up in my research. I may return this computer while I still can.

Posted .With regard to the screen dimming when on battery, this is an adjustable power setting. Click on the magnifying glass icon on the lower left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "Control Panel" in the search window. Select "Control Panel" from the list of choices. In the search window of the Control Panel, type "Power". Under the Heading "Power Options", select "Choose when to turn off display". Under "On Battery" there is a slider for adjusting plan brightness. Slide this all the way to the right. With regard to the battery life, try changing your power management setting to a more conservative one. You can do this in the control panel, in the power management category on your system. Select a more conservative power management setting to extend battery life.
