The first one in 1 day the LCD stopped working. The 2nd one was super slow.

This laptop is always updating. Sometimes I can't even get it to boot up. Right now It is scanning and repairing drive . If this doesn't fix it I will try to return it which is what I should have done right after Christmas.

We set up this computer and the next day when we turned it on it went Blue screen. Lenovo needs to do better quality control. Fortunately Best Buy exchanges it ....no questions.... Just helped us and were awesome.

I have a program that prints cards but the option to save is Microsoft PDF doesnt work well with this computer in fact I can't get it to print

The cd drive didn't work and the fan ran constantly. Granted, I did purchase an open box item. You get what you pay for!

Ever since I purchased this computer I've had nothing but trouble with it. It's slow and locks up on me a lot.

Returned the computer to Best Buy! Just horrible! Not buying a PC again! Got a Mac

Screaming fast.....what a deal....7th generation iCore7, 1TB HD and 8GB RAM.....no problems and incredibly fast when surfing the web or doing Office work (Pwr. Pt. / Excel / Word, etc). Didn't want touch screen....wanted a good laptop at a fair price. Ended up with a GREAT laptop at a fair price.

My daughter dropped her other laptop and broke the motherboard (She said it was accident). She always complained about her other laptop being slow and lag time . She is singing very high praises for this Lenovo laptop. She has no issues with internet or watching movies. I have to assume that it is working perfectly well for her "schoolwork" also because I have not heard even one complaint. Very user friendly. She has thanked me over and over. Excellent price at $499.

Decided to upgrade from my 4gb, i3 Acer that was purchased in 2010. Huge difference, of course, in terms of speed. I haven't had an issue at all with the shift key, I've barely noticed it until I read the comments. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase. The antivirus that came free through Best Buy has been pretty good as well. Free for 6 months, and then $19.95 per year. I will say the pricing doesn't exactly give you a deal. It's $19.95 for 1 year, $49.99 for 2, and 3 years 79.99.... that's not a discount... might as well just pay the once a year.

For the price, this is a great computer! However, i've only managed to run into problems with it that have almost forced me to return it. I'm still sticking with it to try to make it work, but i'm slowly getting to the realization that it may just be a lost cause. For starters, as others have mentioned, the right shift key placement is TERRIBLE. When I first read the reviews I thought "oh a smaller shift key and it's slightly askew? meh, i'll learn to live with it." Yeah, no... it makes normal typing VERY hard. You'll without a doubt hit the up-arrow a thousand times before you finally hit the right shift key. Not sure if Lenovo just didn't test their keyboard before putting it out to market or if everyone there have extremely long pinky fingers that can reach it with no problem. The other con of this computer is the fact the keys aren't backlit and there aren't any light indicators anywhere. The only indicator to let you know that your computer is plugged in and charging is on the side of it. Very inconvenient. The last major issue i've run into, that has made the computer almost un-useable, is the fact that my disk space is ALWAYS at 100%. I have no applications downloaded on it and nothing is running, yet this computer is running WAY worse than my 6 year old Dell does. I've tried everything under the sun to try to fix it, nothing works. The reason why I gave this review 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 is because this may just be a Windows 10 issue that has nothing to do with Lenovo, i'm not sure. Overall, this computer isn't terrible. If you're looking for a computer with really good specs for an affordable price this is great. However, if you're a programmer or gamer or use it for school, the shift key placement along with the problems with disk space will make this computer hard to use. If the issue with disk space gets fixed then I would completely push more people to buy this, until then, i'd save your money.

very good laptop but i wish it had a light up keyboard for typeing in the dark its realy fast doesent take long at all to start up and surfing the net is realy fast toim going to be useing for collage only thing i wish it had was microsoft office installed with out paying for it i could realy use it for collage when i start and power point.

I recommend it for price and quality. Very good machine, fast and good graphics.

I purchased this laptop less than a year ago and I am tired of it constantly shutting down. Also when it updates it always gets stuck and after I wait for an hour or two and turning the laptop on and off it will come back up. I had a hard time finishing homework because of all the needed updates. A couple times it would tell me to recover the settings. I was so scared I would lose all my work. I will never buy another Lenovo laptop.

I bought this laptop on flash sale no complaints so far worth the money. Looks ok on design and display is not that great but works for daily use.

Great computer but the shift button on the right side is half the normal size. Next to it (on the inside) is the page up button so the office staff continually hits that button when trying to shift to capitalize a letter. Very annoying.
