Verdict: The Lenovo IdeaCenter 27” Touch-Screen All-In-One provides capable specs in a very nicely designed form factor. It works very smoothly and looks great. Lots of great value here. Who is this for: Teens, young adults, and adults who need a computer at home do to school work, telework, and other computer work. This is also great for most employees of small businesses. This is not a computer for serious gamers or graphics design. Anecdote. When I unpacked this computer, my daughter asked me why I ordered a new monitor. A bit confused, I told her that it was a computer, not a monitor. Then, she was confused and said that she thought it was a monitor because it had no bump outs or extra thick screen for the computer parts. … It’s remarkable, this computer is essentially the same design and footprint as a thin flatscreen monitor, but it packs a capable computer. Really nice design! First impressions. Pulling computers out of boxes is usually tricky and awkward… Not this time! When opening the box, there are two handles in the foam that easily lift the entire computer out of the box. The computer is fairly light so I was able to unpack it myself. Most easy unboxing of a computer ever! It comes with a basic wireless mouse and wireless keyboard. The screen is very thin and looks great. The color of the package looks nice. The base contains ample inputs. Buttons are easy to find and use. Unfortunately, the monitor does not slide up or down. I love the USB-C and headphone jack access on the side of the base, great idea! Installation. Computer comes assembled; no setup required… Just plug and play. The USB adapter for the mouse is under the “hood” of the mouse (the part your hand rests on). This was a standard Windows setup, with no issues. It took me about 15 minutes to access the desktop. Esthetics. This desktop looks great. The wireless mouse and keyboard are a nice touch to finish an organized and uncluttered work space. Personally, I like the dark gray color, but it may not be for everyone. General computer performance. The computer works very smoothly on day-to-day tasks, word processing, streaming, and web activities. However, with only 8GB of RAM, significant multitasking will slow down performance. In my testing, I opened two programs and had a browser open with 8 tabs, leading to about 6GB of RAM being used, and leaving some space for a few additional tasks. With the basic graphics card, this computer will support entry- to mid-level games, but will struggle with graphics-intensive applications and games. Storage capacity of 512GB is adequate for this computer; SSD drive makes for snappy startup and operation. There is webcam, integrated microphone, and pretty good speakers. Of note, the camera has a slide button that seems to turn off the camera, but it is not a physical privacy shutter. Display. The full-HD 27” screen looks pretty good and is much more enjoyable than smaller screens… 27” is definitely the way to go. Resolution will be perfectly fine for most people, but pixelation is noticeable on small fonts, otherwise most content looks good. The screen is also a touchscreen, but I don’t see the value of this feature on a big computer like this, and I certainly don’t want fingerprints all over the monitor. Things I love. - Easy unboxing! - Overall good specs for an office computer - Compact, organized, and uncluttered look - Nicely designed features - The 27” full-HD touchscreen monitor allows for more productivity, with a small overall footprint - HDMI output to connect an external monitor - It looks like it has an HDMI-in to use the computer as an external monitor - Wireless charger for cellphones is built into the base, awesome!! - It has WiFi 6 Things I don’t love. - All computers with a webcam should have a physical privacy shutter option - The base appears like it allows up/down movement of the screen, but it doesn’t - Only one USB-C input, which is probably not enough. Overall: 2 x USB-A 2.0 (one used by the mouse/keyboard), 1 x USB-A 3.2, 1 x USB-C 3.2. - A lighted keyboard would have been great Overall, this is a solid all-in-one computer for students, home offices, and small businesses. It comes with the necessary specs to perform daily tasks, without adding unnecessary upgrades that may add to cost – all this in a very nicely packaged compact design. For the price and form factor, I think this is a very competitive offering that delivers better bang for the buck than comparable computers. I recommend this computer for home and office uses; I think that most people will be very happy with it.

Good AIO PC, But Missing A Few Features

The Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 27 inch is an all-in-one desktop computer that packs a lot of power into a sleek and stylish design. With its Ryzen 5 APU and 8 GB of RAM, it can handle most everyday tasks without any issues, including web browsing, email, and productivity software. It’s also packing a 27 inch touchscreen, which some people will absolutely love. Having a Qi charger built right into the case is a welcomed feature, along with its nice Harman speaker and vivid display make this one of the most pleasing AIO Pcs I’ve ever used. Tilt adjustment on the display is a good feature, but I would have loved to see a height adjustment option as well. Bundled with the unit comes a power cord, wireless keyboard and wireless mouse. The wireless keyboard and mouse work quite well and are super easy to set up, so no worries there. The PC is also easy to look at and while it’s not going to win any design awards, I think it’ll fit into just about any living space without a problem. My two major gripes about the PC is the fact that it comes with Windows 11, but the built-in webcam does not support Windows Hello which allows you to sign in by just looking at the computer. Also, the PC only comes with 8 GB of memory, which doesn’t seem to hinder it much currently, but shipping it with 16 GB would have future-proofed it a bit better. Here are a few more pros and cons I found while reviewing Lenovo’s IdeaCentre AIO PC. Pros: Sleek and stylish design Ryzen 5 delivers great performance Vibrant display Good sound quality Qi charging Decent connectivity options, USB/USB-C/Bluetooth 5.2/Wifi6/Ethernet Touchscreen is very accurate and works well Cons: Limited upgrade options No dedicated graphics card Webcam isn’t Windows Hello compatible Display is only 1080P Not height adjustable, only tilt Only 8 GB of RAM Overall: The Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 27 inch is a decent choice for users who want a powerful and stylish all-in-one desktop computer. It offers good performance, a vibrant display, and good sound quality. However, please go into this purchase knowing that the upgrade options are limited and there is no dedicated graphics card, so this isn’t going to be a gaming PC.

I have rarely used it, only thing I did was setting it up and all of sudden monitor never turns off. It’s my bad luck that I didn’t use it until my return date passed but I am so frustrated that I can’t return it within a month and I never did anything wrong. Now I have to schedule geeksquad and I don’t know how much I will have to pay or get charged or if it’s fixable at all.

I'm really impressed with this computer, especially considering its price. Lenovo has really packed this all-in-one computer with some amazing features. First off, the touchscreen is huge, which is a great feature in itself. The monitor's quality is good for my needs - I don't plan on using it for gaming, just for my regular web browsing ,watching videos and work here and there. The computer also includes a wireless keyboard and mouse, and I have to say, they feel fantastic to use. The keyboard is smooth and quiet, and the wireless setup really adds to the overall convenience. Setting up the computer was a breeze - just plug it in and you're good to go. It comes preassembled, so there's no need to fiddle with any screws. The monitor can be tilted up and down to find the best angle, although you can't adjust its height. All the HDMI and USB outputs are neatly placed on the back of the stand. Back to school time is just around the corner, and I think this computer would be perfect for students or young adults. It's great for web browsing, video watching, and even some light gaming. The speakers produce pretty decent sound quality, and the web camera works well too. One standout feature for me is the wireless phone charger that's built into the base of the stand. It's a game changer for me, as I absolutely hate having cables cluttering my workstation. The monitor's resolution isn't top-of-the-line, but for regular schoolwork or home office tasks, I find it perfectly adequate. If you are in the market for a computer this is the one!!

This new Lenovo desktop includes all the features you may need if you’re working from home, fun for the family or a student project . The computer has good potential with a 27 inches touchscreen, wireless keyboard and mouse, base cellphone wireless charger, windows 11, built in speakers, 5 megapixel front camera and mic. The touchscreen feature works great and it’s easy to use, good to have in case your keyboard battery dies. A few features that most people will like about this computer is the Wireless mobile charger located on the base of the screen, it charges my iPhone 13 Pro Max pretty fast, also another feature that makes this computer nicer is the Bluetooth 5.2 interface syncs let you wireless transfer photos, music between your devices and this Lenovo computer. The only reason I didn’t give this computer a 5 stars review was because the 27” Full HD touchscreen monitor could’ve been a little better on the resolution, the screen is Cristal clear but does not looks like a a good HD resolution for video games, I also would have liked for this desktop to have more system memory but at the price of this desktop, you have all you need for a home workstation. Pros : all in one desktop AMD Ryzen 5 processor Copilot windows 11 Built in webcam with a off and on button Wireless WiFi 6-802.11 ax Bluetooth 5.2 interface syncs Wireless mobile charger Touchscreen Cons : HD display 1920-1080 resolution 8 GB system memory AMD Radeon 660M graphics

Great Machine, But Crippled By Low Res Display

    Tech Insider Network Member

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I really like what this machine set out to do, but it’s hindered by its low resolution display. That’s a shame, because Lenovo put a lot of design effort into this all-in-one. __DESIGN__ For the price point, there’s a lot to love about the new design direction of the 27” IdeaCentre. While its body is plastic, it has a really nice grey-blue color that almost shimmers and looks professional. Its design is slim, durable, and understated. Placement of ports is good, with a handy side USB-C port and easily accessible power button. Hidden within the base is a stealthy wireless charger for your phone - which is a really nice feature! As a computer for a whole family, it ticks so many boxes. You really only need to plug it in to get up and running, it’s incredibly quiet, and feels sturdy… but the screen in this model just isn’t up to par. __DISPLAY__ For me, the display is a significant negative point on this particular IdeaCentre model. 1080p is an ok resolution at 24” … but at 27” like the one here, you really start to see the pixels on a natural viewing distance. Unfortunately, that means that icons and text often look blurry, fuzzy or show artifacting. That may be workable for some users, but for a new family / multi-use computer in 2024, you really should aim for a 1440p at this screen size - even for lower cost PCs. Since it’s all integrated, you can’t simply swap the screen if you don’t like it. On the good side, colors seem fairly accurate and vibrant right out of the box, and its 100hz refresh rate is pretty good for more comfortable motion and animations. I found that games and media look decent, as they tend not to have a lot of text or can be viewed from further away. Touch works well too, it’s responsive enough and appreciated, but a person needs to be about 24 inches from the screen (or closer) to really take advantage of it. That pretty much ensures that you’ll be too close to really enjoy visuals properly, making my gripes about the resolution feel worse. On a higher res screen, you’d be able to lean in to see a bit more detail of an image without zooming. On this machine, it just becomes harder to parse things the closer you get. I’d say the natural viewing distance is about 36 inches, which may require a pretty deep desk. __PERFORMANCE & OTHER FEATURES__ While it doesn’t have the highest specs, its AMD Ryzen 5 seems fairly snappy. I was able to play a few mid-weight games, including Batman Arkham Origins and Tell Me Why without issue. The included keyboard and mouse feel at home with the design, and while they aren’t flashy, they’re both great! The keyboard has a nice, medium travel to the keys and the mouse is a great size and comfortable in the hand. Both run off of typical AAA and AA batteries, which should last a long time in each. The included mouse uses a USB dongle, so one of the ports on the back becomes used by it. The integrated speakers by Harmon actually sound quite good and balanced. - More-so than a lot of TV speakers. I was pleasantly surprised. __OVERALL__ From the wireless charging base, touch, and great design - It’s nearly everything I’d want. I just can’t see past the screen, which is arguably the most significant part of any all-in-one desktop. Add touch functionality and that importance increases. I prefer a 27” screen, it just needs to be able to provide a good experience across a range of uses - from gaming, web browsing and productivity. Luckily, Lenovo actually does offer a model with a higher resolution screen. Given that I l love just about everything else about this machine, that’s the one I’d recommend to my friends and family.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre AIO 27" is an incredible value and a great home or office PC. I have spent the last week or so using this at home, and it has handled every task with ease. I needed a family PC because my kids are at the age where they are starting to do more online learning, and it made sense to get this AIO for them to do homework and continue learning programs over the summer. I'll go through some pros and cons I found, as well as who I think this system is perfect for. Pros: 1) Nice and big touch screen with plenty of real estate. The touch screen is very accurate and responsive. While this feature is nice to have, I won't be using it all the time, but the kids seem to like it. The screen is also thinner than expected, contrasting with older, chunkier AIO systems that are a bit of an eyesore. This Lenovo is thin in all the best ways and minimalistic. The small bezels help it blend into its surroundings. Plenty of IO on the back and sides of the center stand that houses the PC. On the back, there are 2 HDMI ports, 3 USB A ports, and 1 ethernet port. On the left side of the stand, there is a USB C port as well as a headphone jack. 2) This system is no slouch. Thanks to the snappy AMD Ryzen 5 Processor and 512GB SSD, it handles everything from video streaming to standard productivity software with ease. Personally, I would like to see more than 8GB of RAM because my kids like to run tons of browser tabs, and you do notice some bottlenecks here. 3) The speakers sound great and it does have wireless charging for your phone. The built-in Qi charger in the base is something I almost overlooked but love that it's there. For such a minimalist AIO PC, Lenovo really put time into all the features in this unassuming machine. Cons: 1) Could use 16GB of RAM. As mentioned above, 16GB of RAM would really polish the experience. 2) The IPS panel is fine, but viewing angles aren't the best, and the resolution could be much better for this size of display. Personally, I think that 1080P for a 27" display is too low for things like text. 3) The range of motion for the display is minimal. You can't move it up or down, and the tilt angles are incredibly limited. I don't see this being an issue for my family, but it's something to keep in mind. Who is this PC for? The Lenovo IdeaCentre is a great option for anyone who needs a turn-key home computer to do everyday tasks. Being a slim AIO system, it would work with any home office setup without worrying about where to put a tower or being limited to a laptop. For these reasons, it would also be a great office PC for general use. You should keep in mind that you most likely will not be able to upgrade the hardware in the future, but I wager that most people purchasing this system won't be looking to tackle that anyway. This system fits my needs perfectly and delivers on everything promised. The IdeaCentre AIO 27 delivers on its promises of being a powerful turn-key all-in-one PC at a great price point.

The Lenovo IdeaCentre All in One (AIO) arrived well packed in perfect condition. It was very easy to do the set up - once I found the power button. I finally gave up and had to Google it. The power button is well hidden on the right side of the stand. Many PCs require a wired keyboard and mouse for the initial steps and wireless devices can only be used after the settings menu is accessible. With the Lenovo AIO, I was able to complete all the initial steps using the touchscreen and then install the included wireless keyboard and mouse later on. Having a wireless keyboard and mouse included with the computer was a big plus for me. The set up was amazingly smooth. The AIO connected immediately to the router and later to the printers - without pressing any buttons on them - even though they were in another room. The software offered to copy my apps and files from my other PC, which was a bonus. As usual I had to fight with Edge to install Chrome. It seemed a little harder this time but I eventually won. The Lenovo AIO is heavy at 16 pounds, which is good and bad. Once it’s set it’s very stable. Pushing a cable or USB stick into the back doesn’t budge it. I didn’t have to hold it down while pushing. But repositioning the AIO can’t be done by just sliding it left or right. I haven’t been able to get the screen to adjust up and down, but it has a wide tilt range from -5 to 15 degrees, which is more than most. I think I will be OK with just the tilt, but ideally I would like to raise the screen a little bit. It has more plugs and jacks than any PC I’ve had lately. They are all across the back and also on the side of the base. There is a headphone jack and a USB-C on the side and a LAN, 2 HDMI, and 3 USB input/outputs in the rear. Missing are 2 things I need but can’t find any more - an SD card reader and a DVD drive. The sound is very good, as is the video quality. The size of the 27 inch screen is perfect. The sharpness of text is much better than on the stand-alone monitors that I’ve tried lately, although not quite as good as on my 4K monitor. The preloaded software lists Microsoft 365, but I haven’t been able to get to it without giving up my credit card number for future payment after a trial period. It’s not free as implied. McAfee LiveSafe 30-day trial is also included. The base doubles as a phone charger - although it doesn’t work for all phones and it is very slow. The light on the base blinks orange when it detects a phone, and white when it is charging. I wasn’t surprised when it didn’t detect my old iPhone 6, but expected better results with my Microsoft Surface Duo 2 android phone. With the Surface Duo 2 I get a blinking orange light, but I can’t get the white charging light to come on, no matter where I position the phone. I also have a Google Pixel phone. That one did activate the charger once I positioned it exactly in the center of the base. It took much longer to charge than with a wall charger. It charged at roughly 10% per hour. When I accidentally left it on the base overnight, the phone was fully charged in the morning, but both it and the stand were very hot. There must not be an automatic shut off at 100%. I can see the base charger being a place to lay a cell phone while working at the computer to keep the battery topped off. But if it really needed a charge, a wall charger would be at least 10 times faster. I give an A+ to the AIO computer. I don’t use the touchscreen much, but it’s nice to have on those few occasions when I need it. The phone charger is a good idea, but needs some improvement so that it is compatible with more brands and charges more quickly.

I loved this super fast, very practical computer, and above all, durable. Everything works perfectly, and its screen has great clarity. I highly recommend it; you won’t regret making a purchase like this. Super easy to use, excellent quality, and above all, a very affordable price to make it accessible to everyone.

I have to say, upfront, that I'm not a big fan of All-In-One systems, simply due to their upgradability. That being said...The Lenovo is a very nice, mid-range, system. Lenovo took the time to make it a more efficient than some other AIOs by recognizing that Win11, while capable of running "acceptably" with 4GB of RASM, really starts to shine with 8GB! Add to that the 512GB SSD, and you've got a system that will support just about anything that most people will need, even for photo/video/music work; however for those 3...More RAM will really help! Quality screen (27" is my minimum these days), and an acceptable wireless kybd/mouse round it all out. If you need a system for general-use all the time, and power-use (as mentioned) some of the time; selecting this Lenovo should fit your needs IMO...YMMV!

This computer was ready to go right out of the box. Setup was simple, and with fiber-optic internet, the normal down-time for updates went super fast. The touch screen is a great addition (take some getting used to...), and then finding that the base is also a wireless charger! Only downfall I can see is that there needs to be more USB ports, so it wouldn't hurt to get a port bank to remedy that.

Parting with an old computer is like parting with an old friend and that was what I had to do. In purchasing this computer, I have found that it was easy to set up and re-upload all the tools that I had on my previous computer. In addition to using the familiar programs, I noticed that those same programs were loading quicker than on my previous computer. I'm still getting used to the new computer and its capabilities, but I have no regrets in purchasing this computer.

I needed a new computer compatible to use for work and this one was perfect. Love the larger screen size, everything is perfect and it doesn’t take up as much space as a model that is not an all in one.
