1 TB HDD for extra space is her speed, poited profile to save and interat with "D."
The BUMBER is the RAM, 1 R 16!!! DOH!
20% slower than 1 R 8...
- But the wife ios coming from a 10 year old laptop, so she is good.

Reasonable price, approximately $520, has been on sale as low as $429. A lot of bang for the buck. It is thin snd light weight with a sturdy plaster c casing. Built in WiFi and web camera with privacy closure. I use it for light photo editing using Lightroom and photoshop snd the usual internet surfing and email. Comes with win10 and will be upgraded at no charge to win11. Has a 226gb solid state hard drive for os and programs and a 1 TB hard drive for storage and work. Lenovo claims 7-8 hours of battery life before recharging. I haven’t had to go more than 3 hours. I also run MS Office 365, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with no problems. I purchased a warranty directly from Lenovo, 4 years on site, one to two day service, about $100. I’ve only had it for a month but am very satisfied.

I purchased this laptop for school. After comparing multiple laptops I found this to be the best one for my needs and wallet.
Pros
- Plenty of space thanks to dual HDs.
- Boots up fast!
- 8 gigs of RAM is ok. Will upgrade down the road.
- Keyboard feels good.
- Didn't come w/ a lot of programs I needed to uninstall. Just a few things.
- Can't believe I am saying this in 2021 but it's nice to have a card reader.
- 3 USB ports is also great.
- Nice Lenovo features (battery saver is nice!)
Cons
- The laptop does look good but feels a bit cheap.
- Touchpad is the worst thing about this machine. Loath it.
Overall, this Lenovo laptop does everything I need it to do while I am in school & seems like it's built to do more. Just upgrading the RAM would help more if I was going to really push this machine hard since most of the RAM is being used right off the bat.
If you are looking for a good laptop & a great price...don't pass this laptop up.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 14 Laptop, model number 81W000NGUS. With regard to the touchpad, you can make adjustments to the touchpad in your system settings. You can get there by clicking on the magnifying glass at the bottom left of your Windows 10 screen. Type "touchpad" in the search window. Select "Mouse & touchpad settings" from the list of choices. You can make general adjustments to the touchpad there. You can also select "Additional mouse options" for more detailed adjustments to the touchpad sensitivity by increasing the delay of the touchpad.

This windows 10 laptop boots fast and runs reasonably quick. The track pad works way differently from any I've used before and it's a little more sensitive than I like. Unless careful it can jump to the desktop or minimize the window. Now, that I know thw two finger- three finger- four finger commands, I can find my way back where I was...a little annoying. There is no numeric keypad, but I never used that on my old computer either. The screen is a little contrasty. I wish it was sharper. I like the case and the way it sleeps or shuts down and can quickly boot up. The battery life is decent, but not as much as they promised. I don't like how they buried the battery inside and buried the ram sockets inside. That shouldn't be a problem for a few years, but I do not like that replacing the battery requires using an authorized technician, instead of just snap out snap in. With the store discount I paid $600 for the computer and a padded case.

This IdeaPad 3 14 model number 81W000NGUS, ships with a Integrated 35Wh, Lithium-Polymer Battery, which within this configuration, has a battery life of up to 7 hours, depending on the work the device is performing. If you are getting substantially less battery life, first, set your screen brightness at less than 100-percent - try 80-percent to start with. Then, be sure Battery conservation Mode is turned off. This power management setting should only be used when the laptop is plugged in all the time. It will prolong overall battery life by only charging the battery to 60-percent of capacity. Here is a link to instructions for turning off Battery Conservation Mode: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht103159. Also check what programs are running in the background on the computer. Be sure only the programs you want running in the background are. These programs will drain the battery. Then, finally, be sure any software you installed is compatible with Windows 10. Incompatible software will drain the battery at a faster rate. There is no need to install Microsoft Office software. The software is already part of the operating system, you just need to activate the software with a purchased product key. If you have installed a copy of Microsoft Office, this is conflicting with the existing copy on the system and this will slow your system down. If you have installed a 3rd party anti-virus program, be sure that Windows Defender is turned off and that the trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus software is uninstalled. There can only be one anti-virus program on the system. You may need to restore your system to original factory default settings if any of the programming errors have occurred. You can do that by typing "restore" in the Cortana search window. Just click on the magnifying glass icon at the bottom left of your Windows 10 Desktop. Click on "Reset This PC" Then click on "Get Started" and follow the on screen directions to restore to factory defaults. Overall, I like this laptop. Coming from a 15.6 in HP computer, there are several things I do not like about this Lenovo. First, the battery sucks on this. After a full charge, I can only get two hours before it dies. Second, the keyboard is much different so it will take time to get used too and I miss having a backlit keyboard. The speakers are not as good as my old HP but they are adequate. I like everything else about this laptop, good storage, and a good price. Just wish the battery was better.

Dual Storage was a plus and they were easy to upgrade myself. For the price this was a good laptop for work, but I would advise against it if you are doing anything graphic intensive.
The only negative for a laptop in this price range was the screen size.

I like this laptop a lot. It replaces my Lenovo Yoga 13 where a number of the keys stopped working. Unfortunately, this laptop does not have a touchscreen or backlit keys. If those two features do not matter to you, then I recommend this laptop. The price for this laptop is quite reasonable as well.

I chose to purchase this laptop because it checked all the boxes for me. AMD5, 8G or higher memory, HDD and within my budget. I still havent had time to really test it though. Maybe I will update this later. Anyhow, I had help from the staff at the store, The guy answered all my questions to the best of his abilities and assisted me with my purchase and introduced me to the "Geek squad" which was helpful for me.

This is a great overall computer for an affordable price! It has been able to do every task I've thrown at it (except for one game) and handles multiple tasks well! However, if your looking for an affordable all-around laptop - I would highly reccomend it! If I could improve upon it there are a few things I would do: add more RAM, a different display (it's hard to see at times), and upgrade the graphics card.
