I have become a great fan of Chromebooks over last few years, and this device looked very intriguing as I was looking for a more portable 2-in-1 option and a tablet if possible. This has proven to be the best of all I was looking for. Very portable and flexible - use with included keyboard or remove and use with just the stand or use just the tablet. 4GB memory is adequate along with overall performance and the Best Buy model that has 128GB is a great bonus (and in comparison to other sellers with only 64GB, it was the best price). About the only thing that could have been added was a small USB-C hub in case you need extra ports but otherwise a fantastic device. Highly recommend.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Duet Chromebook. This model ships with a USB-c port and a USB-c to 3.5 mm adapter for connecting a headset to the Duet Chromebook. This sleek and light 2-in-1 Chromebook switches from business to fun as easily as it switches from laptop to tablet mode. Simply detach the plug-and-play keyboard, and you have an ultraportable 10.1-inch tablet ready to entertain you. In laptop mode, the typical size of laptop keyboard is comfortable and responsive, while the 400 nits FHD display is visually appealing in either mode. Enjoy thousands of apps from Google Play Store, superfast boot-up, more than 8 years of automatic updates, and USI stylus support. Get creative. Or get busy. Lenovo

For what this is, its really does it well. I use it for media consumption and light sheets and docs work. And it burns through those tasks with ease. Ive never experienced a hiccup in the OS or frame drops or stutters . Great price for what you are getting. If you need a small tablet that can sometimes do some real work this is a good choice. Forgot to even mention the detachable keyboard! If you like the lenovo style keyboard, then youll like this one too. It took a little bit to get used to typing on such a confined space but i can do it now with relative ease.

I bought the Duet, sight unseen, because of the great press it was getting and I was interested in trying out a Chromebook. I'm not disappointed. It is similar in form to the Surface Pro I have for work and my iPad mated to a keyboard. The weight and battery life on all 3 is similar - about 2 pounds and battery life more than 10 hours. The kickstand is similar to the one on the Surface, but it is on the removable back instead of being built-in. The keyboard on all three devices attaches magnetically, which is generally solid on all three. There have been complaints that the Duet keyboard is floppy, which it is. On the Surface a second magnet tightens up the keyboard close to the body, which the duet lacks, so while the attachment is secure, the "hinge" (flap of material the allows the keyboard to fold) is loose. I can't use any them on my lap, but only the iPad, which has a rigid case, can be used without being on a solid surface. The limited space available for the keyboard means the keys are smaller than standard, with some keys very small. The performance has been great with 4-6 tabs open at once, but I haven't really pushed it for anything heavy duty. While getting started with the Chromebook, I was confused because there are duplicate apps - some web apps and some Android apps - and I wasn't sure which I should pick. I'm still not comfortable working in the cloud, so I've found myself gravitating to the Android apps that I'm familiar with. Most work great, but several are designed for a phone operating in portrait, so they don't work well in landscape on the Chromebook. The same thing happens when trying to use an iPhone only app on an iPad in landscape. My experience on the iPad tells me this will improve over time as app makers start producing landscape friendly apps. Some have complained about the cameras. I don't take pictures with a tablet, but I've used the front facing camera for Teams video calls and I'm very satisfied with it. Overall, this is a great device at a great price point. The quality is high, the screen is bright and crisp, it has a good amount of memory and storage, it has a long battery life, it is a versatile device, and will get updates for a long time. Any shortcomings it has should be considered in relation to its physical size and aggressive price.

I've been interested in trying a chromebook for a while. I have been using an android tablet for quite a while, but because it has lacked a real keyboard, i have often carried a windows laptop as well. The Chromebook Duet will replace both of those for the price of a decent tablet. So far it has run all of my android apps (though a couple aren't optimal, but that is a developer issue). Outside of running windows based programs, I haven't found anything it can't do, yet. I can type on it like a laptop when I need to. It acts like a laptop when the keyboard is attached, and automatically switches to tablet mode when removed from the keyboard. It is pretty cool.

I was skeptical about how this Chromebook would perform at first considering it uses an older mobile processor. However, over the past few weeks of usage I haven't noticed any serious lag or issues with performance even when editing photos in the android Lightroom app. If you are looking for a competent secondary device for on-the-go use I would highly recommend the Chromebook Duet. Its ram does limit the ability for multitasking and opening lots of tabs. If you are a hardcore power user with lots of tabs and apps open this probably won't work for you. But I suspect for most people this Chromebook offers more than enough function at an unbeatable value

All I can say is this machine is not perfect in any way, but what you receive for the price is incredible. The form factor is amazing, and you even get the keyboard with it. It is an amazing price and a good bargain. I have owned many tablets such as Samsung and Surface tablets that I paid much more for. I love Android but always hate using the Android Chrome browser. This delivers a full Chrome browser, and I find it runs Android apps very well so far. I like to draw, so I brought a pen online. For some reason, Best Buy does not carry the pen. With the pen, I can use the drawing apps available for Android, and it works well. Palm rejection and pressure sensitivity work well. I have hooked it to a portable monitor that I have, but you will notice it will mostly either have to run at 1440X900 (just under 1080p) or 720p, both at 60hz. I wish they would have made this item do 1080p at 60hz instead of 30hz, as many monitors don't seem to be able to do 1080p at the 30hz refresh. Still not a big deal. I am mostly on my laptop and use this for relaxing on the couch and surfacing the net or doodling. I just wanted to see how it would perform laptop tasks on a monitor. I can use this with a USB-c hub that included more ports, including HDMI, USB type a, and still charge at the same time. The hub cost me only around $20. You save because most things except the pen and the hub are included. I felt I needed to buy them, but you really don't need to buy them unless you want them. So you get a case, Chromebook, and keyboard for a reasonable price. The specs won't rock your world, but it seems to perform well for what they are. I can use MS Office online or through the Android apps, but the Android apps are a free scaled-down version released by Microsoft. If your typing a document, they are fine. For other advanced MS Office features, you might need to use the online version. It also says it can run Linux apps I have not tried yet, but I would guess that would mean Openoffice and other open-source office suites would work. Great buy for budget conscience table buyers. The built-in screen is also nice to watch youtube or videos and surf the net—a good deal, in my opinion. It works well with my Chrome cast, but it does not seem to be able to do Mirror cast as Android does, but I think that is Google's fault and, I guess, is the same for all Chromebooks. It seems silly on Google's part not to include that in the ChromeOS features.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Chromebook Duet. There is one port on the Duet: a single USB-C port that's capable of 18W (9V/2A) charging and 1080p 30Hz video output (though you'll get bumped down further to 720p 60Hz on most monitors). We are pleased to hear that the Chromebook Duet is working out so well for you. Lenovo

Such a sexy laptop replacement solution. Highly portable, highly functional, it kinda does it all for a modern cloud-focused work environment. If you running CAD/Photoshop or other CPU/GPU intensive apps like games, you should already know this isn't what you want. For everyone else, this is best perfect. I'll just add though, glass is heavy and there isn't a lot if any weight savings over a 13" thin and light laptop.

Got this for the kid to use during the class meetings they have with zoom and Google's meet and so far it has been great. It stands up to the abuse. It's light weight. With apps like amazons free time and disney plus that are easy to install I found this to be a great affordable replacement for the kindle. I am pleased with the battery life as it handled a Saturday of constant use without a recharge. Plus the kid likes it. Cons: Documentation very little info comes with theadded. The getting started user experience. Maybe it's me but it seems lacking. I found myself fumbling around getting bluetooth devices and a printers added. But with some searching I was able to without issue. Get a screen protector

I like the 128GB of storage. The single port will take some getting used to. I like the small chromebook size, and the fact that the keyboard came included. That was a money saver. However, the overall form factor feels flimsy to me. The kickstand should have been built into the tablet instead of a magnetic attachment. The keyboard is not stable unless used on a table or countertop, which is not good for us folks that prefer to use our devices on our laps. The trackpad feels loose. The battery life is great, but they could have made charging cable much longer. Overall, I doubt I will keep this one, but I hope this review helps the next buyer. I typed this review using the chomebook duet.

Overall user experience is quite satisfactory. Pros: Display, keyboard, battery life, speakers. Cons: Mouse touchpad -- Not a precision touchpad. Laggy and when especially used with android apps, a gentle 2 finger scrolling captures a lot of unwanted presses that you might want to quit using android apps completely. I think this can be eliminated/reduced with a separate physical mouse. Overall it's an excellent chromebook with a good value for money.

This is a very good 2 in 1 tablet. For the price I paid which is 200$ , we are getting a tablet, keyboard and a mount on the back. Pros: 1. Price 2. Value for the money 3. Simple chrome os 4. Desktop class chrome browser 5. Play store for android apps 6. Battery lasts linger 7. Software support until 2028. Cons: 1. I returned this chrome book and bought a base model ipad which is 300$. The reason is its software is best in class , hardware quality is top notch, powerful A13 Bionic chip, No lag or freezing anywhere. Apps are better designed for ipad os. The only thing to mention is we need to buy keyboard for extra money but i dont need a keyboard. 2. Chrome book is using a mediocore processor and it hangs once in a while very easily. Some apps like linked in or others are not properly designed for this. I used desktop chrome to get around that problem but most of them it forces you to open the app directly even though you are on chrome desktop page which is the main minus here. Very rarely it will ask do you want to stay on chrome desktop itself. 2. Display is fine. But the base ipad has retina with true tone display which is best for our eyes to see it without any strain for long time use. Final comments: I hope chrome os can mature in the future. Here lenovo tablet is really designed well but the software is the main problem.

l love the lenovo tablet. The battery life is great and it's lightweight makes it easy to transport. l also enjoy the detachable keyboard. lt's not very loud and does not have an auxillary port. lf you are watching movie or listening to music you need a bluetooth speaker. Overall l think it's a great tablet for navigating online. l have had it for several weeks and no problems yet. l would advise to be careful when charging as l noticed the charger gets really hot.

The compact design of this chromebook is the perfect on-the-go size. While the price of $299 is great for this laptop it is on sale from time to time at $229. The processor is quick and responsive. Keyboard size is perfect for children, and works great for me as well. The detachable keyboard uses magnets and two guides to link together effortlessly.
