I was trying to look for reviews on this laptop on youtube and even try and read the reviews here. But, I didnt find one to help with this purchase. I bought this laptop from only seeing it on display. But with the time I have with it. I can honestly say, it was a good buy. My main concern was the screen. Most chromebook laptops under 300 do not have the best screens. Most have TN screens, which makes the viewing angles hard to look at from the sides. While it looks great from the front, the colors wash out on the sides. Thankfully this laptop has a vibrant screen. Full HD resolution, and viewing angles are good too! While there is some light leakage on the top and bottom of the screen, the viewing process is still in good quality. The screen has a matte finish, making it somewhat anti-glare. Under direct sunlight, viewing the screen might get difficult. It is also touchscreen. So that's a plus! The laptop is well built too! The matte finish makes it a bit of a finger magnet, but easy to wipe off. It is very sturdy and durable. The keyboard chasey does not flex when pressed on, and the typing experience is good as well. I recommend this for someone under a price budget, who wants an every day laptop for emails and watching videos. I got this as a second laptop to just scroll through my emails, and watch some movies. It's good for what it does. I did also try to see if it could run some apps from the google store, and it does. Most games are playable too! I do wish it had an HDMI port. But you can always buy an adapter.

This unit has several good points. 1. IPS panel that doesn't have narrow viewing angles. 2. Touch screen. 3. Celeron processor is powerful enough for home use. 4. Google Chrome OS updates until June 2026. 5. Fanless w/no bottom vent to worry about blocking. It has a few issues. 1. The screen is a bit dim compared to a $700 laptop, but bright enough for indoor use. 2. The keyboard is usable, but not great. 3. I'm still getting used to the unit automatically powering up when open the lid. All in all, I recommend this for anyone who needs a Chromebook for general home use.

Turned on and right away started working on my English College paper! I am not tech-savvy so yes this is definitely good for beginners!

Bottom line, this laptop is excellent for most people's needs. Value to price excellent. The screen is full 1080p, and while not a 2in1, it does fold back to 180 degrees and has a touch screen, which is nice when/if you need it. The processor, an Intel Celeron N4000 would be considered basic in most windows PCs, works flawlessly on chrome Os, which highlights one of the strengths of the operating system. Track pad is nice and responsive, and the keyboard while not back lit is still good to type on. Has plenty of ports, and a micro sd card slot which you will want to use as this only comes with 32gb, 20 of which is usable. Battery life so far has been stellar, been using it for 2-3 hours everyday since it came on 3 April, and I'm still over 50 percent. If you're looking for a portable laptop that does what 90 percent of people need it to do, don't hesitate to buy this.

This is my first chromebook and I was a little leery whether or not it would be usable or not. But is was less than $300 so I gave it a try. I have been nicely surprised by this laptop. Setup was easy, the laptop is fast and it has done everything I have asked it to. The keyboard is a good size for actual typing and the touch screen makes browsing, reading easy. You are sucked into the Google world a bit but so far it hasn't been too bad.

I picked up this computer the S340, not to be confused with the C340 which I also own. I love Lenovos. I got this computer on sale for $219 and it is decent for my use. I am a truck driver and I needed something inexpensive and light to travel with. I mostly use it to read news on the web, watch Youtube and Netflix, basically to consume media. After using it for a week, I can tell you It has great sounding speakers, a good keyboard that feels good to the touch with plenty of key travel and not too clicky or noisy. It has decent battery life, nice mat black finish, It doesn't get hot and it doesn't feel too big or two heavy, easy to handle. I need to clarify that this computer does not have the shinny glossy high contrast screen, so using the term ISP on the description and features, is misleading. but it does have a decent mat finish display with good viewing angles. Also, it is being described as full HD with a native 1080P resolution, and that is also misleading, this computer screen is too fuzzy and pixelated to be a true 1080P resolution. With regard Netflix, if you use the app, the video quality doesn't look as good or sharp, but if use the browser to log into netflix and watch the movies from the browser, you will notice the difference in the video quality. All in all, for $219 this is a decent basic machine for everyday use.

I just got mine yesterday and already love it! I switched to this Chromebook after my Dell laptop of 3 years kept crashing. The pros of this Chromebook compared to the Dell are: - Long battery life - Lightweight - Anti-glare screen (also a touch screen) - Super easy to set up Some cons of this Chromebook are that there is no back-light on the keyboard and there is no HDMI port, both of which are not necessities but are great perks. So far, it has been a learning curve to use the Microsoft Office apps instead of having Windows Microsoft downloaded. As a student, I do need a source for doing assignments, but I have found that using Google Drive to work on homework assignments is much easier. I can download Google docs as Word docs and turn assignments in that way!

Bought this for my 11yr old son now that’s he’s out of school for rest of year. Large screen, fast enough for what he uses it for: basic class projects. Not a fan of the on/off button. It takes longer to boot up than you’d expect so you’re left wondering if it turns on until scree. suddenly lights up. Also, on/off button too close to backspace button, I’ve accidentally turned it off a few times. Also no backlight on keyboard, which would be nice. Good overall though. Very light, good colors on screen.

Purchased this for my wife, who needs to websurf, watch videos check email and do some budgeting with spreadsheets. I must say I am impressed with the chrome operating system, it is simple and to the point. The laptop is light, quiet, cool and starts fast. $300 was the price point I wanted. The touchscreen is a bonus, she does not use that too much. She did mention it is missing a delete key, so you need to use backspace. The mute key is nice. Having two usb-c ports is useful.

This was my first actual go at using a Chromebook. I’ve used many Windows and Apple products over the years and decided to give Chrome OS a chance. I’m glad I did. I picked this up for $250, which to me was a fairly reasonable price for a laptop. Even though it’s not top of the line on specs, they do meet my day to day. It’s Intel N4000 processor handles what I throw at it, coupled with its 4GB of ram. I like the Full HD touch screen. Its battery lasts me just fine. If you’re looking for a gaming rig, you’ll have to look elsewhere. I do recommend this for folks who just want to send e-mails, surf the Internet, watch You Tube videos, listen to music, basic usage...

Best Buy was awesome. Considering everything, especially the wonderful virus plague, Best Buy was super fast. It was much faster than Amazon, at least recently. The computer seems great for the money.It has a nice touch screen, reasonable resolution and is agile. For that price, well worth it. It is slower than my Samsung Chromebook Pro but the reliability of that computer as it's screen goes ghost and it does cost $200 more. Samsung is terrible with customer service and the problem with the Samsung is mentioned on numerous sites. Samsung refuses to fix or recognize this massive problem. Buyer beware ...big time.!

A big learning curve for senior citizens going from MacBook Pro to Chromebook. Computer itself is fast and keeps a charge well. Screen is clear. Keyboard is a keyboard. Lightweight, easier to carry than old computer. Satisfied with it. Will like it better when I finally figure out how to move stuff from old to new and download apps to get back up to speed again.

This is economical ,perfect size light weight chromebook. I liked everything about it except the display. Display is not very bright as compared to the mackbook or windows laptop I was using. Camera quaility is very poor which affects video calling , zoom meetings.

This is a very good computer for basic functions such as email, internet surfing and Zoom or Skype. However, more advanced applications like Word or Excel do not work as well as on a PC. It is a better platform for Google Docs. If you aren’t familiar with Docs, recommend you learn about them first if you are going to need them.

I bought the Lenovo S340-14 for my 14-year old son for distance learning. This reasonably-priced chromebook is perfect for his educational needs. Everything works great so far - Webex meetings, Google classroom/docs/gmail, and his other learning apps. The size is just right - not too small nor bulky for when he has to return to school and bring his own chromebook.

Fast Chromebook, good keyboard, so so screen but good for the price... I read reviews complaining about the speakers, but they-re decent... not astounding, but decent. Good machine for the price if you want something basic, which was the purpose of buying it.

We purchased this chromebook for our teenager so she would have something fast & up to date for possible high school distance learning this fall! This chromebook is very fast, light weight, has a touch screen - it’s everything you could ask for in. Chromebook! Highly recommend it! Extremely happy with this purchase!

This was my first laptop purchase and I was very nervous about picking the right one. I bought it to edit small videos and it does the job! Storage is fairly good and I like that all my google apps can be connected. The apps you can download are hit and miss but for the most part everything works great! Definitely recommend if your need something small and affordable for just surfing the web. The camera quality is not the best but it has a wide angle and can run the zoom app with no problem. It does not allow all the features and settings zoom has on other devices but it does the job. Also the touchscreen is great and very useful!

My son loves the computer. It’s fast speeds and volume for his zoom assignments are great . It’s lightweight a d very user friendly

Great computer. Easy to start up and use. The touch screen makes everything easier. Also light weight, so easy to throw in the backpack during travel.
