The Thinkpad T560 has potential to be an awesome choice due to its business-grade build quality, however the particular configuration being sold on this listing I cannot recommend because it has the base option 1366x768 TN display. The base option 1366x768 TN display doesn't let you fit much onscreen, makes everything onscreen rather large, and has very poor viewing angles + contrast + colors. It's literally just about the worst display you can find in a laptop in this price range. The T560 is available with a 1920x1080 IPS display that lets you fit more onscreen and has IMMENSELY better picture quality, and that kind of a difference between displays tends to affect how nice a computer is to use a whole lot more than the differences between most other specs. $500 laptops are available nowadays with 15.6" 1920x1080 IPS displays, and there's no excuse for this configuration not to include one. Either look for a configuration of the T560 with the 1920x1080 IPS display, or buy a different laptop entirely.
