A good USB-C docking solution

It works well with several different Lenovo computers, adding Ethernet, external monitors, and expensive USB capability. Plugged into the lightning port, it will also charge as well. If there's any downside, it's that it only supports dual display output. I've known some people that want to use three external monitors, and you'll need to buy the step up for that.

The description online stated it had 2. The device I received only had the D visual ports. Be sure to check the generation of your X1 Carbon Thinkpad for compatibility.

Works great with my HP laptop
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have an HP Spectre x360 and was looking for a single-cable desktop solution for it. This docking station works beautifully. It comes with a power cable, so the USB-c connection keeps my laptop charged. It comes with two Display Port and one VGA connection. I haven't tried all three at the same time, but the display ports work great with my dual monitors and pass their maximum resolution. Most ports are in the back which makes a clean desktop setup. It has a USB-c and USB 3 connection in the front, plus the audio jack. A couple of cons -- the front audio jack is for a headset so they combine the speaker and mic outputs. I really wish that there were separate mic/speaker outputs in the back for desktop speakers and microphone. Also -- there's only 2 USB 2.0 and 2 USB 3 jacks in back. The 2.0 jacks work great for a keyboard and mouse or a KVM, but I'd really like to see at least two more 3.0 jacks. I bought a powered USB 3.0 hub to make sure I have enough for my peripherals. For the most part, this makes my laptop a fully functional desktop replacement.
