This 14" Yoga 7i replaces a five year old Yoga 730 13". Happily the 7i fixes several little annoyances over the 730 (which overall I liked). Unlike the 730, the 7i has nice hand friendly rounded edges, HAS a micro-SD slot, has a vent system which cannot be blocked at the back edge, uses more of the lid as actual screen area and has front facing speakers. Lots of good stuff. I would have considered the the 9i, but that model isn't better in terms of the memory or storage, and they take away features I care about like the IPS LCD display and the micro SD slot. I DO NOT WANT TO HAVE TO THINK ABOUT OLEDs BURNING IN. And so I prefer the features of the cheaper model. (Hmmmmm)
I'm always torn on wanting processing power versus heat and noise, but at the end of the day I care more about heat and noise so a U series processor is better for me, which the 7i has.
I wish it came with Windows 10/11 Pro. Because I wanted that, I ended up paying for it separately at a premium price.
I wish it came with 2 TB of storage. Because I wanted that, and because last I checked Best Buy does not sell a 2242 nvme drive that'll physically fit, I had to buy that elsewhere, and it wasn't cheap. Now what to do with the 512gb drive....
I wish the Yoga 7i had an option for 32gb of RAM, but I'm simply stuck with 16. I regularly use a lot of RAM and would prefer my primary laptop have more.
I wish the 7i had the sound bar like the 9i because I know the sound bar will direct more sound towards me, and collect less crud over time from picking up the laptop by the edge. (Yeah really, it doesn't matter how clean your hands are. It's about skin touching tiny holes and you can't realistically clean the tiny holes.)
I wish the Yoga 14" 7i were as light as my Yoga 13" 730, but to be fair, the 7i is slightly bigger. I understand the 9i is lighter than the 7i, probably due to the 9i having a lighter OLED display.

Just right balance of price and power for college

This was a great choice for my child who is attending college in the Fall. Small enough to carry, but with fairly powerful performance (my student is not an engineering or computer science major). Touch screen was not our plan, but has been helpful at times. Not sure how often it will get used in "tablet format", but this might be helpful at some point. Price was great at Best Buy

If you're undecided, I highly recommend choosing what fits your lifestyle best—it makes everything so much easier. I own a MacBook Pro but needed a Windows laptop, and buying the Lenovo Yoga was the best decision I made this year. The performance, versatility, and design of this laptop are outstanding. My husband, who works with Microsoft Office tools extensively, is also very impressed with its functionality. Highly satisfied with this purchase!

Great laptop. I previously bought a 16 inch laptop and it was way too big and heavy for me for traveling even locally. The other one was 4.6lbs and I thought I wanted the extra real estate on screen but found it to be too heavy. This is a perfect balance of screen size and portability. This one is around 3.2 lbs. It feels very solid and has a great keyboard as well. Touch bad works perfectly for me.
Plus the screen is phenomenal on the 2.2 k IPS screen.
Woukd highly recommend this for anyone who wants an all-around laptop. I don't use the two-in-one very much but it's nice to have the touch screen.
By the way the speakers are very solid. It boots up fast and is doesn't get very warm unless it's sitting on something to block the vents underneath. Nothing horrible but just make sure you have dinner underneath.

The Lenovo Slim 7i impresses with its sleek design and powerful performance. The Intel Core i7 processor ensures smooth multitasking, and the slim profile makes it highly portable. The vibrant display and Dolby Atmos speakers enhance the multimedia experience. However, the battery life could be better.

I am extremely happy with my purchase of the laptop. It meets the standard efficiencies of laptops like large enough to see easily and light enough to carry around. It has all the storage and speed. I am happy for sure. Touch screen capability is a touch of class as well as the fingerprint reader.

I’m an electrical engineering student in colllege and works great. Word fast, does not lag with large applications and chrome tabs open. Works great but the actual computer kinda sucks. The screen is SOOOO reflective. Working outside or anywhere bright makes it difficult to see. Screen is not very bright and reflective. The hinges suck, I’ve had it for ab 3 months and they’re already starting to break. Does have a usb port, great and a button to screenshot. Touch screen is great but sometimes I accidentally touch it wipe trying to type and that kinda sucks, wish I had the option could block the touch screen when I’m not using it. The bottom does get REALLLY hot sometimes but the fan does turn on. I’m not sure if there’s more than one fan but only 1 turns on on mine so one side is hot and one side is little bit less hot. Fans are not loud at all. Can barely even hear it turn on. Can only hear it if you put it up to your ear. Battery also is not that great. It will be at 100% and it shows 6 hrs but it doesn’t actually last that long. It’s not toooo bad but it’s also not that great.

So far, I am very happy with my Lenova Yoga 7i 2-in 1 14" 2,2k . I recently retired and needed a new laptop. I love the size and flexibility provided with the Yoga, making it convenient to use on planes with small tray tables. I am not a computer geek, so cannot say much about all the features, but all is working great for my needs. The battery life seems to last forever! The only thing that frustrates me a little is the reflection on the screen. On a sunny day, I can see my own face more than the screen content. But I can live with that.

Build quality is exceptional. Price was also shocking. 300 off, on sale. Intel CPU, enough RAM and upgradeable SSD. Windows 11 Pro and Ubuntu LTS both function perfectly. Battery life appears better than the AMD version of the lenovo Slim 7 Pro. This for work, VPN, RDP, Music, Word Processing in windows is flawless. Though you will need to upgrade to Windows 11 Pro for RDP functionality. Turn off windows bit locker to resize the SSD, then you can install and dual boot Ubuntu. Very happy with this one. Im sure you will be too.

Quite a nice little laptop. Build quality was superb, display is relatively bright and having a touch panel is excellent. 2-in-1 design is a nice idea, but I didn't use it all too often and it doesn't come with an active pen despite supporting it.
Performance was good, but of course it's a 1355U. Not a slow processor by any means but if you want something for gaming or CAD look for a dedicated graphics card.
I really enjoy USB-C charging on this device as well--one charger and cable is all I needed for my phone, headphones, mouse, and computer.
Overall excellent for the price, but if you need more graphics power get a laptop with a dedicated GPU.
