Customers highly value the Yoga 910's stunning screen quality, lightweight design, and impressive performance. Many appreciate its beautiful build and fast processing speeds, although some find the fan noise noticeable under heavy use. The comfortable weight is frequently praised, while a few users mention challenges adapting to the smaller shift key. Positive feedback also highlights the ample RAM and, for some, the long battery life.

Very nice laptop

I've had this laptop for about 5 days now (I have #2446 of 4000 made).
The first couple of days the fan was a little annoying at times, but the last few it's been very quiet. I changed my max processor from 100% to 99. I also just read another reviewer who said the laptop is busy the first couple of days which causes the fan to run more. Not sure what helped, but now the fans run much slower. Love the 4k screen, my photos look great on it. The touchpad is nice, but not as good as my 2015 "13 MacBook pro.
I took one star off because the fan does have that annoying high-pitched whine when it runs fast. This is however is a great laptop with some nice specs.

After reading a few complaints about the fan I was skeptical with this purchase, but I'm really happy I pulled the trigger. Fan kicked on once for a second and it wasn't nearly as loud as I thought it would be from reading other reviews, definitely not worth complaining over. Streams 4k Netflix content seamlessly. It was between this and the HP Spectre x360 in Ash Silver, and I'm definitely glad I went with the Lenovo. Better specs for a lower price. Bottom line: it's the best laptop for the money and I highly doubt you'll regret the purchase, I sure don't!

Overall, this is a great laptop for the price point it's at. The display is really sharp, crisp and bright. The only downsides are the tiny right-shift key and occasional fan loudness. However, after installing the most recent BIOS update, the fan noises have drastically reduced.

With regard to the right shift key issue you mention, there is a free software APP called KeyTweak that may help you. You can switch the key functions of specific keys on your keyboard with this software, so you could change the right shift key with the key you hit in its place. Just Google search "KeyTweak" and you will find articles about what the software does and you will find the download location for this free APP.

The best 2-in-1 ultra-book in the market

I am using the Yoga 910 for over 2 weeks now and couldn't be happier. The screen (13.9 vs. 13.3) is expansive and combined with the 4K resolution makes me feel like I am working on a full desktop. The glass top in this special edition looks great which is really important to me as I give a lot of over the shoulder presentations to CxO types.
As for the common complaints about the shift key and the noise:
1. Shift key - Was nothing less than terrible in the first week. the uparrow key got pressed all the time especially as uparrow is common graphics on shift keys. But, after the week my brain got re-wired and this is not an issue anymore.
2. Noise - All of you complaining need to know that windows, DropoBox and others are indexing your computer when you first put all your files and start using it, after few days everything is indexed and these programs only track changes. Yes, the fan was on in the first couple of days, But, I changed the power setting to never go to sleep, and let it work over a couple of nights indexing everything and now the fan is not turning on more than my previous laptop = not an issue. I also created another power plan where the CPU max is set to 60% and I am using it if I want to assure absolutely no fan turning on. 60% is plenty fast for any kind of usage other than gaming.
Lastly, the huge 78 Whr battery is 2nd to none, and the laptop is still only 3.09lbs. Ignore Lenovo's web site that is mistakenly stating 48Whr!
Buy this laptop, you will not be sorry!

The Best High End Ultrabook Today
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I was looking to switch from a top notch high performance desktop to a laptop with the same or better performance and features while also being ultra portable with good battery life and all-in-one features really limited my selection to the ultra books. After comparing all of the options, I selected the Lenovo Yoga 910 Glass Lid Special Edition from Best Buy and so glad that I did! From the beautiful aluminum body, the 14 inch display, the fingerprint scanner, 4K display, SSD, generous amounts of RAM, latest I7 processor, the unique watch band, and all other high performance technical specs, this truly is the best high end ultra portable laptop out there today. I've always been a fan of apple products but this machine truly took the game to a whole new level and so I switched. I've read several reviews out there with the complaints being the right shift key position, the loud fan noise, and the position of the camera. I have to say that I'm 6,5 so tall for the camera and large fingers and no problems with either the keyboard or the camera position (in fact, you can just flip the laptop into tent mode and the camera will then be in the up right position for any conference calls). Lastly, one of the other reviewers here is correct and Lenovo released a new BIOS update to solve the noisy fan issue so after you buy the computer, just download the Lenovo update bridge software from their website which is like another windows update software but just for Lenovo specific updates and that DID make the fan quieter...more specifically it has a more steady moderately quiet noise than turning off and on more frequently just doing a deep, ore dramatic breathe in and out noise that it was doing before. Remember folks, this is a high performance V8 engine packed into a sleek convertible sports car so yea it's going to need a big fan to keep it cool. The one thing I was not clear on though is the graphics card and if its at the level it should be for this price point but I've had no issues so far as the display is crystal clear. For future updates, I hope the 920 comes out with Thunderbolt and perhaps more USB or external storage slots but that's it from me. Great job Lenovo!

Concerning graphics processing within the Yoga 910-14, there is no discrete graphics card within this system. Graphics processing is integrated within the Intel Core I-7 processor. It is the newest and most efficient integrated graphics processing available on a processor. It is Intel HD Graphics 620.

Beautiful, Great Hinge & Specs, Bumpy Start...
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
Absolutely love the sale price, the looks, the watchband hinge, and benchmark data, and the specs (most anyway - I wish it had thunderbolt, another USB A, and an SD card reader, and the camera mounted higher on the display) , but... its been a really bumpy startup. I may have to return the machine - TBD. Will update if possible. Issues:
- Occasional wifi drops. Lenovo tech support installed a new driver but now the machine is idling at >30% cpu with a disturbing level of fan "white noise." Under higher cpu loading, the white noise becomes a more annoying high-pitched whistle. At "normal" idle, it's very quiet.
- Laptop refuses to acknowledge my Garmin nuvi GPS when I attempt to connect it to update maps. All other pc's tested including my Dell Win-10 desktop have no problem connecting. Strangely, however, the same USB-A port works fine with an external LG optical drive.
- Some issues getting touchpad dialed in to prevent random palm-rest cursor moves. Too often I find myself typing somewhere other than where I intended.
- Bestbuy salesman entered my email address incorrectly creating challenges with GeekSquad and BB login. I think that's resolved now.
- Can't recommend until / unless all these issues can be ironed out. Still wanting to love this PC but ??? I'll decide before Jan 15th.

Sleek, fast, with a fatal flaw (for me)

Currently, this computer leads the pack in terms of the specs you get for the price. The 7th gen core i7, beautiful 4K display, 16GB of ram and SSD are all fantastic.
It would be a 5 star machine if not for the very, very poor choice of how the right shift key is placed. The nearly useless "page up" button is where the shift key should be--and so you tend to hit that instead. In addition, the right shift key is half the size it really should be. (I understand this is not so much an issue for left handed people.)
Lenovo suggested on the review of the 1TB SSD model that you can download an app called "KeyTweak" to remap the keys--but I can only find that software on untrusted sites--and I don't want to download it if its bundled with spyware, adware or any of the other awful junk out there. It would be great if Lenovo would provide their own trusted utility to remap the keys but I doubt that is coming.
Unfortunately, the non-standard keyboard layout has slowed down my productivity on this machine to the point where I will most likely return it. Otherwise, this computer ticks all the boxes. This is a shame, because I'm really looking for an excuse to keep this beautiful machine.

I went through a few laptops before I decided on this one. However, everything about this was amazing EXCEPT the fan noise. Very noisy and unacceptable. Was turning on for the simplest of task. I tried everything Lenovo suggested.

Keyboard backlit dead and loud fan noise
Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I was pretty excited when i got this beautiful special edition laptop from Bestbuy yesterday. Yet the problems just kept could not wait to come out.
The fan became so loud after the initial two hours and was running all the time.
Then when I tried to use it with the room's light out, I found out that the backlit of the keyboard is not working. I tried the "fn" space toggle which is the usual backlit set up following the lenovo instruction (which works on my x1c), restarting, checking my driver, and even resetting the computer, not working at all.
It's a huge disappointment overall. For a flagship limited edition laptop, this is a shame.

I like the design and as a 2 finger typist the keyboard works fine for me.
The fan noise is terrible and spins up at even the slightest processing that needs to be done. Very disappointed and makes it unusable for extended periods of time.

Great product - WHY the shift key location change?

I have had a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro for a couple years and was looking to upgrade to an Intel i7 this year. The 910 looks fantastic and I went to go buy one and soon realized that Lenovo move the right shift key on, apparently, all of their latest laptops. The up arrow key is where the shift key should be. Lenovo want's us to fiddle with key remapping software?? Nope! THAT was a deal killer and I purchased a Lenovo Yoga 900 instead with more ports, cheaper, and has last years processor.

I have now purchased 3 different Yoga 910. All have the infamous high pitched fan noise.
Please note you can slow down the machine by turning off turbo boost and it is livable.... but it has a performance hit of 25%.
Lenovo fix the fans or issue replacements!

Keyboard is whack

The keyboard on this laptop is awful. You can't reach the right shift key without taking your fingers off the home row, and the up arrow key is in between your pinky and the shift key so that you're constantly mis-stroking. I returned it because I couldn't afford the reduction in productivity.
