    Great 2-in-1 Windows 10 Computer

I've been impressed so far with the few days I've spent with this computer. Compared to the MacBook Pro 13 which I have, this computer is faster, has a better screen, and cooler. The concerns I had based on the reviews I've read here are: A) issues with the touchpad, B) heat, C) battery life. I'll address all three: A) Touchpad- so far I haven't seen any issues with it. It's as good to me as the one on my macbook pro. It's smaller than the trackpad on the macbook pro but I've not noticed the size gap. B) Heat- the only time the computer got uncomfortably warm was when I was loading software and the computer was indexing. Once that was done, the computer stays relatively cool and quiet. C) Battery- I have not done enough cycles to know accurately what it is. However, based on my limited usage, doing emails, web browsing, Excel, and similar Office apps work, 6+ hours is easily achievable. I have the model with the 4k screen. I looked at the Surface Pro, Surface Book, and the HP x360 Spectre computers. This Yoga looked to me the best balance of value, features, and weight. I do have a couple minor quibbles with the computer- 1) I wished it came with Windows 10 Pro (for those of us that need network connectivity) 2) the keyboard backlight doesn't automatically turn on like it does on the mac

I am extremely happy with the Lenovo Yoga 920. I recently bought a XPS 13 (7th Gen Processor) for my daughter. I am not going to state what is there already in the professional reviews. I have the Lenovo 4K /16GB/512 SSD model. I initially bought it based on the reviews stating it is the best in the market. I however was delighted to find subtle improvements over the 910. for instance there is a notch on the lid to make it easy to open the laptop now ! The reviews are not doing justice to this laptop. The battery even on the 4 K display is outstanding. As I type this review this laptop is at 15 % power and will still last another 2.30 hours using the suggested battery saver mode ( lasted 10 hours plus, I always drain the battery of the new laptop few times and charge it). The screen is a tad dimmer than the XPS 13. However in every respect this laptop is nothing short of outstanding. Without restating anything already in the PCMag review. I will clarify on a few things the reviews don't stress on. Once someone says something people have a tendency to latch on to it and just repeat it even if they did not really see a problem. The keyboard is not shallow. It is great and with the U shape bottoms and well spaced gaps it is so easy to keep it clean and not fat finger this review for instance. I actually like the minimum key travel. it works great and does not require more force to type ! The Webcam has been moved to the top of the display ! lenovo listens. The display screen is gorgeous with the thin Bezel with great color reproduction. it is a finger print magnet though. I think this is hands down better than the DELL XPS 13 or the HP Spectra 360x models. just so beautifully made. When they compare the weight they say its tad heavier than a XPS 13 but they fail to mention this is a 14 (13.9 inch screen and not a 13.3 inch !) that makes a huge difference for me ! Bigger display but not as bulky and hard to handle as the 51.6 HP spectra 360x. Read the reviews. Highly recommend you buy this 14 inch Yoga 920. In fact this is the only 14 inch laptop in its class that has the form factor of a 13 inch ! Outstanding job ! I felt I must reward Lenovo by buying the Yoga 920 and reward their efforts !

Lenovo Yoga 920 has outstanding battery life (up to 10.8 hours), fast SSD, eighth-generation Intel Core i7 CPU, larger touch pad, two thunderbolt USB ports. I can log in to my laptop in less than two seconds with the fingerprint reader. Lenovo Yoga 920 has a watchband hing and it can rotate to any angle which makes it more comfortable. it is thin and light weight laptop.

So I purchased this product after buying a 720 a few months ago, for the quicker processer and larger SSD. This unit came with a stylus very close to the bamboo one I had purchased as a separate buy. It's an upgrade from the previous unit, which is only an I5, but there certainly a few differences between the 2. 1) This unit seems to heat up much faster, and much hotter than the 720. Not sure if it's because the graphics card works harder since it is a 4K display. 2) Both seem very durable, however the watchband hinges on this run across the entire back of the unit, while the 720 only has 2 standard hinges; both seem very secure. Both seem like very good buys (for sure wait for sales to roll around). The reasons why I like them is they're fast, very mobile, since they are smaller, and weigh less, but still maintain the ability to do quite the workload. Both units are my first 2 units WITHOUT a CD/DVD drive (but let's face it, it's almost an obsolete piece of hardware that not only takes up valuable space, but is an extra draw on the PC - even though negligible). Touch screen is great, Windows Ink works well, but haven't used it for too much more than a few doodles and more toying around than anything else. The 920 comes with a stylus, as well as a piece of plastic you can insert into the old style USB port to "dock" your pen. Cool idea, however, it blocks the power/wake button to the right of the device. Placing the button in a different location would have been a better idea. Speaking of USB, both units come with 2 USB- type C ports, as well as ONE old school USB 3.0 port. If you intend to run several devices off this PC (wired external hard drives, CD drives, printers, etc) you will need to buy a few adapters, or buy a hub which will expand current capability, so if you already have these devices, you may still be able to use them. All in all, I am not disappointed with this buy. I would have given it 5 stars, but again, with how quickly and hot it gets versus the 720, 4 stars (4-1/2 if I could) would be the best I can offer for it. I would recommend this to a friend, but would also advise to wait for a sale.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 920-14. Concerning this system generating more heat that the Yoga 720 you have. The Yoga 920-14 has the Intel Core i7-8550U processor which is a Quad-Core, eight thread processor. It will generate more heat than the Core I-5 processor within the Yoga 720. The onboard fan within the Yoga 920-14 will maintain the normal operating temperature for this system. lenovo

Great computer by looks and by performance. I don’t need that much for my work but I wanted the computer to be portable (hence light) and with best specs so I don’t have to upgrade again in a couple of years. I initially wanted an even smaller one but this seems to be small enough especially comparing my old 15.6’. Very light, sleek and durable. Battery life is really good and hopefully it will stay this way. It is really fast as it is supposed to be the top shelf on the market now. Turns on and off in a blink of an eye. Real upgrade from my old machine that needed to retire.

It's a beautiful laptop, but I've noticed a few issues since I picked it up on 10/28. 1. Battery life much lower than spec'd, unless it's an error in the remaining estimated battery time. I'm showing only 3 hours on a full charge! I do like to keep the brightness pretty high, but I'm not doing anything more than browsing the web and watching netflix. 2. No Windows Hello via camera. The fingerprint sensor works great, but it would be nice to have facial recognition when in tablet mode. 3. Fans get loud with dolby sound enabled 4. Viewing angles and backlight bleed is a serious issue when viewing dark video. The blacks aren't as deep as expected, but other colors are vivid. 5. Included lenovo power settings conflict with windows power settings. Another issue I've had is the microphone being disabled randomly, which makes the long range mic pointless if you want to use Cortana. All around it's still probably the best 2 in 1 on the market, but they really need to push out updates to fix the current issues. I'm going to contact lenovo support, but if they can't help me out I will likely return it and grab the new surface book.

Thank you for choosing the Lenovo Yoga 920-14. The battery life on this model is up to 9 hours, depending on the work that the system is performing. Be sure there are no unwanted programs running in the background, draining the battery. Windows Hello on this model is the Fingerprint Reader only. Increased fan sound while Dolby Sound is activated could be due to the system resources being used at a higher level, therefore generating heat and initiating the fan. This model has an IPS screen, so the viewing angles are 178-degrees. Concerning other screen adjustments, got to "Display Settings" by right clicking on the Windows 10 Desktop screen. Finally, if you have further questions, pleased feel free to contact Lenovo Tech Support at 877-453-6686. lenovo

Sooo happy with my Yoga 920. This critter is lightning fast, boots up in just a few seconds, battery lasts and lasts, and when I need to charge it, it charges quickly. Laptop is very lightweight, hinge swings open to tablet format easily. Really enjoy having a unit so light and easy to tote around the office and home. Got this unit used, and it was in almost perfect shape. MUCH better price than any other outlet online. The Best Buy associate was super and made the purchase quick and simple. I know I'll enjoy this unit for much time to come, and it is so quick and is packed with latest tech -- it will be a very long time before replacing this little fella. (I kept my previous laptop for over seven years, and I'm hoping for at least that long for this Yoga.)

I'm a business professional and not a gamer. This may be the best laptop that I'm glad to trade my hard earned dollars for. The 4K screen took my eyes a day to get used to (I previously enjoyed the detail of QHD) and now I love it! The bracelet hinge is an engineering triumph - it's firm, durable, and I'm confident that it'll last well beyond the warranty and years of heavy use. I too hesitated on buying this Yoga 920 because of the complaints about the battery life. But, after two weeks of daily use with moderate battery saver settings and normal use, I can attest that the laptop ran for over 9 hours with 10% still left to spare. I kept the brightness at 80-90%, shut off auto sleep mode, screen turns off after 3 mins, and other settings are moderate settings and not the extreme. I perform remote access and run various MS Office apps locally, so power and network use is consistently active, but not extreme CPU nor GPU activity. The battery power, life, and quick charge are all fantastic (versus my old ASUS that lasted 4-5 hours.) So, with all the other unquestionable features (light-weight, multiple ports, fast charge, Bluetooth pen, aluminum case) this 2-in-1 is awesome. Just two other observations - the power supply is your traditional brick with cords on both ends (it would have been nice to have the modern style of a one-sided cord with a more compact brick with a flip in/out two-prong plug) and the laptop does run almost hot when Windows is busy performing Win Updates or running a full virus scan, but the vent design is brilliant with the intake and exhaust vents in the back, so when the 2-in-1 is on my lap, I'm not blocking the circulation.

I always look for open box deals when I am in the store and I got this great Yoga 920 for a great price. I love the fact this is just about as light as my Macbook Air was but I can stick with Windows. The touch screen option works well but it is not as comfortable as an IPad so it won't be replacing that. The edges are too sharp and 3 pounds is a bit heavy to be using it like an iPad anyway. The best part is the screen. The 4K screen is bright and the colors are deep. If you fold it over like a tent it can replace a small TV if you watch Netflix and other streaming services. The keyboard lights up if you need it to which is great when you do need it. The sound is what is to be expected listening to small speakers. I use a headphone or Bluetooth speakers anyway. I only heard the fan come on when I first set it up. Otherwise it has been silent. The Intel UHD 620 is quite good so I am not sure if you need a different graphics driver that could make the laptop run hot. Lenovo makes good laptops. I use a Lenovo laptop for work so our IT department and my last company's IT department switched over to Lenovo because they know what products are the best. I got the I7, 512 GB SSD and 16 GB RAM option for future proofing. The i7 is not as fast as the ones they use in their business laptops but for my purposes, music recording and some photo/video editing it's just fine. I don't think you will be disappointed if you can get one of these on sale. You will appreciate the 13.9" screen. 13 inch screens are just too small. BTW, I just hooked it up to a 34" LG Ultra wide screen and it looks great!

-boots up in 5 seconds from off... Literally. -insanely fast, downloaded and processed a several gig update in minutes. I thought it didn't complete the update it was so fast. -the screen is really, really good. I feel like Crash Override in Hackers looking at Acid Burns laptop. It is perfect for indoor, but may not be bright enough for Hacking the Planet outside. -it makes sound, and I can watch some youtube or Vimeo stuff. For heavy music /movie consumption you'll need a supplement. -it comes with a MS Ink pen! -power cable is USB-C. Connections include 2 USB C, USB 3 and HDMI. No card slot, no fluff. -the hinge is a work of art. Polished, tough as nails, and fully functionally beautiful. The body of the animal is aluminum or feel... But it's grrrreaat! I love this laptop, the tech inside is flawless, looks good and runs good. In fact this is my 10th laptop from Bestbuy over the last 20 years, and this is the one I'm most impressed with for a lot less than I've spent on some. I like the fact I could actually use it in the store, have input from a real person and compare to other peer products.

So far this has performed with decent speed and responsiveness when it performs. Battery life is amazing. Design is beautiful and light. However it has had some serious bugs: for instance crashed upon setup, then the display completely freaked out at one point and required a hard restart, and the whole system has crashed a couple times, losing my work. The biggest issue is that msft office (ppt & xls) crashes multiple times per day on this machine. Maybe that is msft's fault, but I have patched office and it still happens. For reference, none of these problems ever happen on my Lenovo x1 carbon. I would not recommend it until the stability of office is fixed.

This system has a 30-day trial of Microsoft Office software installed as part of Windows 10, so if you have installed Microsoft Office software on top of the pre-installed software, this could be the cause of you problems. We recommend you uninstall any Microsoft Office that was added to this device. Additionally, this system is equipped with OneKey Recovery System. There is a very small pin hole on the right side of the device, right near the power button on the device. You will need a pin to push this reset button. Plug the device in. Let the battery charge for about 15 minutes. Push the reset button. The system should boot to a choice screen where you can choose "Restore To Factory Default". Select this. It will delete everything from the hard drive except the original factory install of the operating system. You will need to reinstall all programs and files after the reset. If you don't have copies of the files, try to make one before you restore by selecting "Boot to desktop" and trying to back up your files. lenovo

When I started researching purchasing a new laptop I knew I would end up spending a pretty penny. I don't purchase new electronics very often and I'm not wanting to always keep up with the newest devices. This Laptop is everything I was expecting and hoped it would be. Going from a 7 year old, bulky, 17" screen tradtitional HPlaptop to this is mind blowing. I feel spoiled with the 4K screen. The touch screen was a feature I knew I wanted as well but I was weary of the hinges wearing out over time. Not a concern for me now as it's hinges have proven to be extremely durable. The fingerprint scanner lock works every time (can't say the same for my Pixel 2XL phone), keyboard and touchpad mouse are fluid and comfortable to use, touchscreen is precise. It's extremely lightweight; with a 'bulky' case even, I can toss it in my oversize purse and don't notice a difference. Battery life is phenomenal. I can't say exactly how long the battery lasts, definitely depends on what you're using it for. But I can use it most of an entire day before it needs plugged in. Speaker quality 9/10, although I keep mine connected to my Bose SoundLink II. So far, it cools itself extremely well, placement of fan is practical. I don't have issues with the bottom heating up but the screen/lid does heat up significantly. I'd say 7/10 for cooling/heat production, which is fine by me. Needed the largest SSD as I'm not fond of carrying an external hard drive. My last laptop was 500gb so I needed something comparable. Lightning fast, even with my crap CenturyLink internet speeds. Extremely glad I splurged on this, although I did get an open-box with a few miniscule scratches on the exterior and the pen missing, for $500 off (around $1200). The scratches are unnoticeable and something I probably would have caused on my own anyway, and I just bought a pen separately. I did so much research read SO MANY reviews for a few months prior to purchasing a laptop and narrowed it down to 3 potentials. With the help of one of the PC associates I settled on this open-box. I'm more than happy with my decision to invest in this laptop. If you're thinking about getting this one, just do it. You will not be disappointed.

I did a research for a small powerful laptop for all around use and it is by far the best. The closest I found was the HP x360 but it has LPDDR3 memory instead of DDR4 (ie slower), a half inch smaller screen which is significant to the 13" overall and a smaller battery (~50Wh instead of 70Wh). I do not understand why people are complaining about the battery life since all 4K laptops are consuming more power. This is not an issue to this particular laptop. They should get a FD instead (then they complain that the resolution is low). Also why they complain about the heating since it is a 13". All small laptops with strong 15W CPUs need to get rid the heat from a small area and they get hotter than larger ones. Its like buying a 13" and then rate it for 2 or 3 stars because it is small. Also before I bought it I read some reviews about the corners. All laptops have corners at the back where the hinge is. So what is the problem if the front is the same like the back?

I am a game developer by trade and was looking for a machine to do some light development work while travelling. I bought this machine mainly as a companion to my main laptop: a beefy MSI gaming machine. I was looking for the following in my travel development machine: -able to run development tools (Visual Studio, Unity Game Engine) -able to run multimedia tools (Photoshop, Blender, Krita, and Lightroom) -pen enabled support for sketching and concept art. After half a year with this machine and a couple trips, I'm happy to say that this laptop fulfills most of those needs. I'm able to do most of my coding work and a quite a bit in the game engine. In terms of multimedia creation, it handles light Photoshop work as well as audio editing and 3d modeling. Photoshop in the years has gotten quite bloated as far as software goes, so I don't hold that against this machine. In terms of sketching and concept art, the pen isn't as nice as responsive as I would like it to be and the palm rejection leaves a lot to be desired compared to my cintiq and other wacom products. Although this machine wouldn't be my first choice for concept art and digital painting, it's a decent option for sketching ideas to finish off on a cintiq. Overall this machine is snappy enough and checks enough boxes for me that it's become my main laptop. I only turn to my MSI whenever I need to play games or test something in VR. Design-wise, this is a beautiful machine with great build quality. The 4k screen can be a bit overkill with something this size, but the colors and picture quality are solid. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend this to anyone looking for a solid portable laptop to get work done.

Thank you for choosing the lenovo Yoga 920-14 4K model. We are pleased to hear that the value, features and performance of the Yoga 920-14 4K model meets your computing needs so well. With regard to the active pen, this model does implement palm rejection. Concerning the active pen lagging, this may be due to out of date BIOS and Driver files on your computer. You can update these files by scanning the computer with the Lenovo Utility software installed on the computer. This system has Lenovo utilities installed to help maintain the health of the device and keep the operating system software up to date. Type "Lenovo Vantage" in the Cortana Search window (if Lenovo Vantage is not installed on your device, you can download the APP and install it now). Select Lenovo Vantage from the list. In the window that opens, click on "Health and Support". In the expanded menu, select "Hardware Scan" In the window that opens, select "Run Quick Tests". This will scan your entire system for errors. Follow any directions that may pop up. If the problem continues after this scan, now click on "System Update". First select Windows update from the menu. Scan your system to be sure you have the latest version of Windows 10. Once that scan is complete, select "Additional Updates". This will scan your device to be sure there are no new BIOS/Driver updates needed. Follow any instructions that may pop up. If the issue still continues after these updates, we recommend you call Lenovo Tech Support at: 877-453-6686 for additional help. Lenovo

Great performance and technical specifications. The laptop feels solid and well made. I was not sure I would like the "watch band" hinge that Lenovo uses on the Yoga, but it looks better in person and is quite appealing. I read some concerns about wifi connections, but I have not had any issues. I have yet to reach the battery life mentioned in the specs, but I like my screen to be brighter than the automatic setting and know I push it a little more. Still, 5 hours is more than enough time to run on a charge, and when I do recharge, it does so quickly. I miss having a built-in SD-slot to use with my Canon DSLR , but a USB adapter remedied that easily enough. The Lenovo Yoga has both the type-A and type-C USB ports which is a plus. The keyboard functions well, but takes some time to adjust to. The keys are spaced further apart than my previous laptop, so it requires an odd reach and took some time to adjust to. I also miss the dedicated page up-page down keys that I had on my old laptop. The Lenovo Yoga requires you to use the Function key in conjunction with the arrow up/down to scroll by page. If I did not need to do that, I think I would say that this is the perfect laptop. Overall, I am very happy with it.

Here's the advantages- Light weight, High configuration for the price Disadvantages- 1.You won't really use the tablet mode as much as you think you would because when you fold it the keyboard takes away the experience a little bit. Not so comfortable to hold it in tablet mode. Still usable, just not exactly the same as holding a tablet 2. Overheating and fan noise during charging. But you will get used to it quickly. Its expected though because you are putting such a big configuration in a small size. So it's not as big a deal for the light weight you get. I love how light it is. Nothing else in the market like that.3. I have this issue with browser where i get frequent audio rendering errors with YouTube and other streaming. Frequently having to restart

The only thing this awesome laptop does not have is a dedicated graphics card but it can still handle light gaming. I chose the 4k 920 Yoga model over the HP Spectre, a newer Asus 2 in 1 with dedicated graphics cards, the surface models and more. The 2 lighting USB-C are great. I can connect to my 4k HDR monitor via USB-C in 1 second while getting fast data transfers and battery charging at the same time. I use the USB for a wireless mouse/keyboard. There are many USB hubs available if you are looking for more options. The touch screen is very accurate and makes using the touchpad and screen together really enjoyable. The battery has never been fully drained yet and recharging is very fast. The audio is average but I connect to a Bose 2.1 which 5/5 audio for music, movies and gaming. There really isn't anything negative that I can say about this laptop. I use it every single day. Online school, youtube, Netflix, light gaming, drawing, graphic design, excel, word, powerpoint, stocks and crypto markets. Combining this to an external monitor, audio setup and a nice drawing pen makes it a power house 2 in 1 for me. It does cost a lot, about $1300 Nov 2018.
