The monitors are great... Perfect 4k @ 60hz pictures on both screens. Having audio and both HDMI and Display Ports is extremely advantageous. I used these to set up three displays for a Lenovo Yoga Book laptop. Worked perfectly. Only 2 issues: 1) the stands do not have any height adjustment. 2) one of the monitors had something rattling around inside. All monitors worked out of the box despite one having something rattling around. (Sounded like a piece of hard plastic). The menu and controls and set up are all easy. Getting used to the center pogo cursor control didn't take but a few seconds as well. Excellent product. I would buy again.

The BEST after trying many good ones

First let me tell you this is a hidden gem. After doing a lot of research I narrowed my options to the best I could get in the 200-300 range. I was looking to get text displayed as awesome as the MacBook, since I mostly work PDF's, office, programming... you get it. So my first option was getting same like my brother's new Dell ultra sharp 25 QHD (1440 resolution) (very good and comes with extra USB ports, adjustable, portrait mode...) and don't get me wrong the text and everything looks very good (better than 1080p), but not as good as the mac display. Then I tried my coworker's Lenovo L24 QHD (also 1440 resolution) and I liked it quite more than the Dell in terms of display (It doesn't come with all the extra usb ports, adjustable height, etc....but display wise so easy on the eyes for working long hours). The problem was when I saw BestBuy had the LG 24" 4K (2160 res) because I knew I had to try it, and so glad I did! The other two monitors were good but this is FANTASTIC. Because of the size 24" and the 4k resolution you get the most PPI ever, which translates into awesome crisp text, images, video. The controls are super easy to use (unlike the Dell) and on top of that you can download the software from LG to control all the settings of the monitor and split screens etc from your mac / or your windows machine! Fantastic display.

If you have a MacBook, and looking for a right-sized monitor that won't affect the performance, then this is the one. First, facts - a 23.8-inch monitor with 4K (3840X2160) will equate to 185 ppi, making the text sharper and crisper. This also matches one of MacOS's retina resolutions, where the OS doesn't need to work hard to scale. Display: This IPS display is excellent in brightness and sharp text (did I already say that?). If you are into gaming/photo/video content editing, there may be better options, but this is a fantastic find for all other semi-professionals. Third: Ports -- This has HDMI and Display ports only, so you may need to get some adapters if your device has only USB-C. There is an audio jack, but it isn't beneficial, you need a longer cable, and people use wireless headphones anyway. This has a VESA mount, and I mounted mine on an adjustable arm so it sits at the right height. The built-in stand is sturdy too. Lastly, the cable connects directly to the power outlet without any intermediate box sitting somewhere underneath the table. This is a nice little thing. Overall, this is a match made in heaven for MacBooks.

PPi is about 185 4 and 5 k iMacs are around 216 pixels per inch. At my office we were comparing with the quality of those LG panels just to give you an idea of how crisp the picture is. On thing that is great about this monitor is that the power supply is build in making it very easy to transport and cable manage. Has a Vesa mount as well! Great monitor interface for adjusting color and brightness. Great color in viewing angles.

I was shopping for a 4K monitor to use with my MacBook. Leaning toward this LG 24" and when saw price on Best Buy, it was a done deal! Wonderful image, matches and mirrors my retina Mac display exactly. Would be 5 star, but it isn't seamless for plug and play. The sequence of turning on monitor seems to be important. I sometimes can use with laptop closed, but not always. (this is probably my problem of not understanding directions exactly) Overall very pleased...fun getting used to 24 inch screen after years of my 13 inch laptops!

This is my first 4K computer monitor and, while it's not as nice as my medium range 4K UHD Samsung TV, it's definitely a noticeable upgrade over my old ViewSonic 1080P monitor. The resolution is perfect for the screen size in my opinion, at least for computer tasks. When watching movies, there is a noticeable difference in this monitor and the 1080P monitor I have sitting next to it. You can easily see more details on this monitor. The refresh rate isn't as crisp as my TV but it's not bad. The one thing I wish was better was the darkness of black colors. The monitor comes pretty bright. I ended up dropping the brightness and contrast down a bit but black colors still come out a bit brighter than black. Not a deal breaker. I didn't buy this for watching movies as much as I bought it for 4K video editing. One thing I that is odd... it has a setting for volume and when using an HDMI port the PC sees the speaker option on the monitor but no sound comes out! Weird.

I needed to replace a couple of 22" Dell monitors that I'd been using for the past 10+ years. Best Buy was having a sale on the LG 24UD58 with a price point that provided too tempting to resist so I decided to make the jump to 4K resolution and replace both of my 22" Dells. I'm not a hardcore gamer or a professional video/photo editor so I'm probably less critical than those types of power users. I use my PC for web browsing, watching videos, spreadsheets, word processing, and email applications. As far as I'm concerned, this LG monitor more than meets my needs and expectations at a terrific price point. I was not particularly concerned about the monitor's lack of built in speakers since I recently purchased an upgraded external speaker set that sounds better than any stock, built in set of speakers. The criticisms I read about the monitor's stand didn't bother me since all I needed was VESA adaptability so I could use the monitors on my 3-monitor stand set-up. All in all, LG hit it out of the park for me. If you're a video/photo editing professional whose livelihood depends on the monitor they use, perhaps it makes sense to pay 3x the price of the LG 24UD58 for a better 24" 4K monitor. For me, I couldn't justify that much of a price premium so I'm very happy with my purchase. Highly recommend!

pretty good monitor for the price! using it for my xbox series x and MacBook Pro. good 4k all I needed, the freesync doesn't work through HDMI so that's a bummer! and 60hz only works in hdmi port 2 and you have to turn on 60hz on the monitor itself. there also isn't no sound but there is a headphone jack and you can add a speaker! not bad!

I'd really like the Apple Studio monitor, but I needed something that would work on a PC as well as a MacBook, since I need to use a PC for work. This monitor is so much better than the old one that came from the office. I spend a lot of time reading text and it is so much easier now with the great resolution. Definitely worth the much lower price. It would be nice to be able to hook up speakers, but it was improved resolution that I really needed and I'm very satisfied with that.

Crystal clear text and graph. Accurate colors. The brightness, although 250 nits, compared to higher-ends of 300-500 nits, is enough for most scenarios. The size is also favorable. Personally I feel 27 in is a little bit too large. The height is not adjustable. But I do not really feel like this need. If you want a simple plug-and-play monitor, then it is hard to beat. If you watch a movie with lots of night scenes, then you will feel the drawbacks of low brightness and not enough contrast.

Top Notch 4K Monitor Ideal for Mac mini M1

If you are looking for a high-quality computer monitor, please consider the LGUD58-B. After selling my aging iMac and purchasing a Mac mini M1, I spent several months buying 1080p monitor from several vendors before returning each as they could simply not compare with the iMac's 4K display. I did not want a 27 inch monitor as my space was limited. After reading several positive reviews of the LGUD58-B, I finally decided to purchase it and give it a try. I had some concern that there may be display issues with the Mac mini given comments online on M1 compatibility, but I am thrilled that the LG monitor was perfect for my setup. The quality of the monitor is simply superb. The 4K display is virtually identical to the 4K Mac mini screen. Text is razor sharp and bright. If you are looking for a 4K monitor for your Mac mini or any other computer, give the LG UD58-B some strong consideration.

Great Monitor for Laptop; No Speaker, Though

I was looking for a 4K monitor/tv for my laptop since my old eyes need better resolution than from the tv I was using before as a second monitor. This is the perfect size, the picture is great, but I only found out, after ordering it, that it has no speaker. An inexpensive sound bar works, however, and the inputs are sufficient to pipe content through both from my laptop and the cable box, although it is a bit of a hassle having to adjust volume on the laptop Windows controls when playing Youtube on the monitor (that is to say, switching the control from the laptop to the monitor).

I've used Dell P2415Q before and now I need a new one. This monitor is great for this price although I can only adjust the angle but cannot rotate it or adjust the height. Also, I have to find a screwdriver to assemble it. There's no difference in daily use between this one and Dell P2415Q for me. Note that you need to buy another cable from miniDP to DP for 60hz 4k if you use MacBook Pro like me.

I needed to upgrade to a 4K monitor for work-from-home use, but didn't need a 28" which would have been large for the space. This 24" fits perfectly. The display is crisp and has good contrast and viewing angle. I was surprised to find that it tilts, so I can sit or stand up and angle it perfectly. Its desktop footprint is very minor while keeping it very stable. There are three inputs on the back (2 HDMI, 1 DisplayPort), that you can switch between with a few presses of the menu button (menu, input, move to select one, menu). It does not have an automatic-switching feature, but will go to sleep if the active input stops. The menu control is easy and straightforward, with some advanced options available but appropriately placed at a deeper level. You can adjust the color temperature and power-saving features to your liking. I have power-saving set at maximum and do not notice any issues. This monitor has a headphone jack which can be connected to amplified speakers. pushing the menu button side-to-side adjusts the volume, which is a handy feature during remote video meetings.

Picture quality: Perfect, pristine. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the stand could be improved. It's in a fixed position, and the monitor "leans" forward a tiny bit on the top, and even though I am using the proper cables, anytime the monitor comes on, a short alert message pops up telling you to make sure you're using the proper cables, and gives the option to dismiss/never show again but it still pops up (only whenever you turn the monitor and PC on). Other than these minuscule issues, I *HIGHLY* recommend. Best monitor I've ever had!

This is a second monitor sitting next to a 27”, 5k iMac Pro. Although the resolution can’t match the iMac’s, I’m finding the LG’s perfect for its slightly smaller display. I’m a writer, photographer and graphic design guy and am loving this, not only for a place to place menus, palettes, etc. but as a perfectly good extension to open smaller canvases, due to it’s great color and high resolution. For me the resolution is perfect for the relatively smaller size. I didn’t worry so much about the stand because I’ve attached a substantial Mount It single monitor stand that is adjustable all over the place—including the capability of rotating to portrait configuration for use as a primary monitor for documents. For the price, I can’t see how there could be many better choices. Highly recommend.

I bought this for my wife to use at her desk with her laptop, which also has a 4K screen. 24” seems like a nice size when you usually work on a 15” laptop screen. The picture quality is nice, it was easy to set up the monitor, and the monitor feels really steady on its stand.
