This is my first 4k screen and it is fantastic. I went with an open box order and received a basically new monitor. I have this paired with a Qnix 27" 1440p screen using a dual arm VESA mount on my desk. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to get their first 4k screen.
Pros:
Price
Quality
Port options
Slim bezels
Cons:
Stand is fairly flimsy and allows wobble (get a VESA mount)
DPI scaling (Windows)

Great 4K resolution from my pc and Xbox one on this monitor. My only negative is the stand. It is very flimsy. On the positive it does have vesa mount capability which I utilized with a full motion wall mount.

This monitor suffers from backlight bleeding I will upload a photo so you guys can see the bleeding. That is my biggest complaint, I also dont like the think layer of anti glare coating applied on this monitor is really thick and distract me. Once again I respect all those good reviews, I am just sharing my experience with this purchase. I will not be keeping this monitor I am not happy with this. I will be trying the Dell 28 inch 4K hopefully i dont have the same issues. I know the dell is a TN panel i will be sacrificing the viewing angles.

I have my PC hook up to this great monitor. 4K Ultra HD. The only drawback is my old graphic card. I have a XFX 7970 Black Edition and this is not the card to handle this monitor especially now for this demamding games or VSync. Soon will get the newest AMD 480 RX. We will see!

I was doing research in order to buy a new 4k monitor when I finally narrowed it down to LG's new 4k monitor with USB-C inputs. Found the price point of $700 to be a good deal and decided to head the next day to the best buy across the street to purchase it.
I must have been very spacey that day because I walked out of the store with this LG - 27 IPS LED 4K UHD FreeSync Monitor thinking it was the one I came in to buy. After an hour or so using it (watching 4k tornados on youtube because internet), it finally struck me that I dropped $300 less than anticipated for this monitor. Smelling something fishy, I looked a bit closer and realized that I came home with a completely different model!
I have now had this monitor for about two months and am thankful every day I made this mistake. I'm not limited to usb-c devices and am slightly more free from the dongle invasion.
I can now plug in multiple devices like my chromecast into the monitor so I can switch from 4k work mode to 4k entertainment with ease. Gaming on this monitor is great if you're a casual gamer. I switch between programming, netflix/chromecast, and gaming and the monitor performs exceptionally well for each category I use it. For the aspiring pro-gamer, this perhaps isn't for you.
There are tons of tiny experiences I have had with this that I never before considered being an experience. Something as mundane as viewing text suddenly became an absolute pleasure and was silky smooth because of the high pixel density.
Adjusting the settings is incredibly simple, screen brightness is exceptional and the lowest screen brightness also compromises very little in terms of color loss. The way the monitor stand is designed, there is virtually no screen wobble when really putting the damage to your desk. Downside to this monitor is that it doesn't pivot. Thankfully I have mounts that solve that issue for me. For those of you that have usb-c only computers never fear, this monitor is still great for you. You can find usb-c to display port cables that output video at 60hz meaning EPIC 4k goodness for only a couple hundred!!

I did a lot of research before settling on this one. Text and Colors are razor sharp. This monitor is bring used for everything from productivity web browsing to gaming. It performs great in each situation. Stand wobbles a bit but isn't as bad as other reviewers say. Comes with great high quality cables which I am using. I have my high end gaming PC connected via Display Port and my MacBook Pro via HDMI occasionally. Navigating the menus and setting is designed well and easy to use.
The only thing I miss from my old monitor was a USB hub built into it.
Overall a great monitor that I recommend.

Excellent monitor, vivid colors with good saturation. 4K is awesome. No flaws, very uniform picture quality. Contrast could be better, the blacks show minor light leakage, maybe had need to be adjusted. Overall a good monitor, will recommend it.

A Phenomenal IPS Monitor at this Price Point!

I was looking for a replacement and IPS upgrade for my 28" Samsung 4K TN monitor (U28E590D) as well as expand my existing desktop real estate to 3X 4K. I discovered this monitor as a new release at Best Buy and began to research the features, specs and reviews. The feature set met if not exceeded my strict requirements including:
[PROS]
+ 27" IPS 4K
+ 99% sRGB
+ 5 ms response time
+ PBP
+ [2] HDMI 2.0; [1] DisplayPort 1.2a
+ AMD FreeSync
+ VESA mounting
+ Thin bezel
+ No ghosting
[CONS]
+ Shaky stand
As other reviews have mentioned, the stand is indeed not the most stable. However, I did not deduct any stars from my rating as I VESA mounted all three monitors. After nearly a week of ownership, I am hard pressed to find any flaws with this monitor other than the 5 ms response time which of course, faster is always better. However, IPS panels with 1-2 ms response times would be significantly more expensive. As a heavy FPS gamer, I was initially concerned with the possibility of "ghosting" having transitioned from a 1 ms TN panel to this 5 ms IPS panel. To my surprise, ghosting was absolutely non-existent. The colors are rich, vivid and true, the blacks are deep and consistent and the background lighting is clean and bright. When testing any new monitor, dead/stuck pixels is the first defect I inspect. All three panels had ZERO dead/stuck pixels. Thus, right out of the box, all three panels were winners. A great indicator for LG quality control. As with most IPS monitors, this too has fantastic viewing angles at nearly 180 degrees. The options for fine-tuning the picture and color variables are excellent. In fact, LG includes software which will allow OSD monitor adjustments on the desktop via mouse. Overall, I am ecstatic with this upgrade and would HIGHLY recommend this monitor. The LG 28UD68 is a phenomenal IPS monitor at this price point!

After doing a lot of research and comparisons I decided on this monitor and got a good deal on it when it was on sale. The monitor is big yet very slim looking. It has multiple!e inputs on the back and I chose it over a similar Samsung because of the ability to mount it. Even though it is a great monitor there are a few cons people need to be aware of when purchasing it.
Pros
- It has excellent picture quality
- Very small bezel makes it seem even bigger
- Multiple inputs on the back
- Wall mountable using an approved vesa mount
- Packaged well enough to arrive shipped to my house with no damage
- Comes with all the cables you need and a nice clip to attach to the base to help manage the wires
Cons
- Better have a new high end graphics card to take advantage of the 4K resolution (new one I picked up cost about $200)
- The wall mount bracket has the inputs right next to it so the mounting bracket has to be the exact vesa specification or it will not work ( I had an existing mount I had hoped to use but it WS a universal one that had a larger vesa pattern also and won't for because of the input location
- The stand is VERY wabbly and doesn't feel very sturdy which is why I recommend mounting it if possible
Overall I am very impressed with the monitor and for the sale price it had the most options and features which is why I chose it.

Reasonably Good 4K Monitor

Picture quality on this monitor is good, but not superb. To my eye the blacks are a little weak and even with the sharpness set to 0, images show a somewhat more emphasized degree of granularity than some other monitors.
The monitor settings are opaque and obtuse and geared to non-technical users. I'd have much preferred settings that let me set the resolution directly by dimension (3840 × 2160, 1920x1080, or what have you), instead we get a menu of descriptors: "custom, reader, photo, cinema, sRGB," and so on. One option is "custom" with no way to set what custom might be...at least in that menu. There's no quantitative reference for any of the settings. The manual provides a qualitative reference "optimizes the screen for video" for example...but that too is ambiguous. Optimizes it for standard video? HD video? And how is it optimizing? The only thing obvious to the user is a color shift in the display when cycling through the selections.
The 4K resolution is only achieved by connecting both the HDMI and DisplayPort cables to a computer. I'm unfamiliar with Xboxes and such, so whether or not the 4K is achievable when attaching to those devices I wouldn't know. I know not whether those devices would have either the necessary ports or the output through them to drive the monitor at full resolution. The next generation of HDMI may be able to power the 4K by itself, but as of this writing, HDMI alone will only support the 1920x1080 resolution.
The 1080 resolution is noticeably chunky in comparison to the 4K resolution, and perhaps less visually pleasing than a true 1080 monitor.
In my case specialized adapters were required to connect to the computer to the supplied cables, and these adapters were not carried by BestBuy.
I'd say that if you want a 4K monitor, this provides a reasonably decent picture provided you do your homework first, check your device for appropriate connections and make sure that device will support the throughput for 4K.
If you think you're going to buy this and HDMI it to your run-of-the-mill laptop and suddenly have a glorious 4K picture, you should think again.

This monitor was purchased as a Christmas gift.
My partner absolutely loves this monitor. The size, the clarity, pixels are spot on, the colors, ease for adjusting brightness, contrast, etc. The monitor provides a "warning" beep when you have Cap Locks on and off. Very easy to set up. Definitely worth the purchase.

I was looking for a 27" IPS 4K monitor and this one has the best picture I have ever seen for $399! As long as you pair it with a 4K capable graphics card. I personally picked a $50 4k graphics card. Excellent color reproduction, I will likely pick up another one as soon as it goes on sale again.

I wanted a high-quality 4K UHD monitor that (a) fits far more information on the screen real estate than a 1080p monitor, (b) doesn't take up too much physical space, and (c) is at a reasonable price point, and this one fits the bill. I'm not picky about outside edges being dark, even though other reviewers have alluded to low-price monitors having that problem, but to me, I don't see that problem on the unit I received. I have it ramped up to 125% size in Windows (100% is tiny), so with programs like Premiere Pro I have lots of room to adjust track heights and widths and effects panes and still see a large version of my video as I edit it. The only trouble I have had is that the first one I purchased got an LED-blowout thin, pink, vertical stripe within two weeks after I started using it, so I had to take it back, but I had also purchased a 4-year Geek Squad on it so it was no problem to exchange it right away. For a price that is half what other, similar monitors cost, I am fine with that if it happens again.

PC Gamer Review:
I came from an Alienware 120Hz 23 inch Gaming monitor and one of the biggest worries I had was the 5ms and 60Hz. After playing Witcher 3 Wild Hunt and CS:GO, I can happily say that my worry is not really warranted. Gaming at an extreme competitive level though, you should wait for something better than 60Hz and 5ms IPS or just go the UHD/FUHD/LED route instead. There is an teeny minor difference that's noticeable if you come from a 120Hz 1ms gaming monitor but it doesn't really effect your A game. Casual and occasional competitive gaming, this is just fine.
The biggest perk is the IPS; my wife is planning to go into photoshop and 4k video editing and I needed something with RGB accuracy. This I can say fits the bill.
I got this as an open box $349.99. IPS 4k at that price with a model that recently came out...yeah....good luck finding that price anywhere else.

This is a really nice 4K monitor with great color and brightness. My reason for returning was that the stand was super flimsy on the model I had. I decided that I did not want to replace it since it was an open box and another at the price point was not available.
