Over a thousand hours of full time work and hundreds of gaming hours. No issues and great quality and all the input tours and capabilities you could ever ask for. Great work horse to stream movies or browsing the web or dropping in to some of the latest games. Great quality and vivid color. Some discoloring to back off the panel asking the vent. Went from deep white to brownish or Burt white not sure why it reminds me of quart heated up plastic does over time.

Completely satisfied with this monitor. The 3840x1600 pixel real estate is perfect for both video editing and gaming. Color accuracy is very good, and coming from 60hz to 144hz refresh rate is a welcome step up. The monitor is not heavy (lighter than even my 34" LG, pictured on top the 38") and I was easily able to mount it to a monitor arm. Though I am not using its Thunderbolt 3, that is something I plan to in the future. High priced but you get what you pay for.

Great Monitor! Reliable color calibration for photo and video editing. Super clean and sharp images. Very responsive with my flight simulator too. The LG on screen control software makes it easy to change modes from your desktop. I have had many problem free years using LG monitors for business and home use and would recommend them without hesitation.

I have been using this monitor for work, school, and play and it has not failed me yet. No hotspots or dead spots for 2.5 years. I want another one! If you're on the fence between a 38" or anything smaller... GO BIGGER. You will want a larger monitor, trust. Also, the curved screen makes a HUGE difference. I initially got the 34" flat screen and it was a pain to look side to side; I felt like a typewriter trying to look from left to right. The only complaint is the thunderbolt cable that comes with it. Seems to have a high failure rate, and I have had issues with it intermittently not working with my laptop. I will be finding a replacement.

Amazing viewing and productivity experience! This 38" ultrawide from LG is one of the, if not the best looking panels I've seen. Design wise, it's a beautiful monitor with just the right amount of curvature. Controls are intelligently placed at the center of the panel below the LG logo. The available ports, Thunderbolt/USB C, 2 x HDMI and Display Port allow for multiple connections across different devices. I have my work dock, MacBook Pro, and gaming rig connected at the same time. I had to add spacers to the VESA mount on the rear to fit my mounting plate, but ymmv. My mounting plate has a slight curve on the top 2 corners that didn't quite fit. I'm running a 3080TI in my rig and native resolution of 3840x1600 looks awesome in everything. If you do decide to purchase this monitor, make sure you follow the LG recommendations of installing drivers and on screen controls to make setup alot easier.

Good Monitor, Bad Calibration out of the box.

I really like this monitor. It removes the need to have two monitors. The OSC software allows you to divide up the screen real estate which is nice. The stand takes up too much room on a desk. Buying a separate monitor arm is required to free up desk space. The calibration, however, out of the box is not very good. I am going to have adjust all the setting to get the picture settings right. LG needs to do a better job on the calibration settings. I have used Dell monitors in the past and there were no need to calibrate as Dell does a very good job with that.

I use this monitor for gaming and also to work from home. This monitor compaired to other 38” inch gaming monitors, sacrifices some things to be a balance between work and play. You could be even just use this monitor for gaming and its still a really good monitor to save a couple of hundred bucks. After switching from 2 27” inch monitors I’m never going back to regular monitors again.

Love it, love it, love it. I have tried a few monitors and end up loving this one. Here're my use cases: I am a heavy MacBook user, and light gamer on PC, PS4(planning to get PS5 in living room so moved the PS4 in the office) and switch. The four inputs work perfect for me. PS4 and switch does not support 21:9 natively so the picture will be stretched. Took a while to get used to stretched picture, but it definitely looks way better than any 43 or 49 ultra wide. The speaker is more than enough, it's comparable to the newer MacBook pros speakers. I know this is a very expensive monitor, but I do think it hit all the sweet spot. My personal suggestion to choose between Alienware 38, LG 38 Gaming and this one: If you are a light gamer and use MacBook and want clean one cable solution and don't want to add speaker to your desk, this LG 38WN95C is great. The 144Hz refresh rate is not the best you can get, but will go a long way since it will take a while before the graphic cards can drive 240Hz at this resolution at ultimate settings affordable and available. I was worried about USB4 replacing Thunderbolt 3 soon, after doing some homework, looks like all USB4 devices will work with TB3, no need to worry too much. If you are a heavy gamer, and your graphic card can utilize GSYNC Ultimate at 240Hz, go Alienware. Otherwise, I would go for LG 38GN.

    Coming from a 4k monitor, I'm impressed!

I was very hesitant to switch to an ultrawide monitor coming from a 4k display. I did not want to sacrifice image quality and the text clarity that you get from a 4k monitor. After doing some extensive research on this monitor I decided to make the purchase just to test it out, I can say that it definitely exceeded my expectations! The picture quality and colors are amazing! And the text clarity and sharpness is not 4k but it is extremely close! I primarily use this for work and occasional gaming, the real estate helps with multi tasking and having 144hz with GSync for gaming is a game changer! (coming from 60hz). Once you 144hz you can never go back. I know that many people still struggle to chose between 4k or ultrawide, specially when it comes to gaming, I can say that this monitor is definitely the sweet spot if you want the best of both worlds. Another thing to consider is if you are not running the latest 3000 series graphics cards and the latest processor you probably wont be able to fully take advantage of a 4k display (I have a 2070 super, so my PC was struggling a bit with 4k). This is truly the perfect monitor as of now! I am sure this will get refreshed soon but I don't spec any major changes. Its an expensive monitor, but the way I see it, its an investment specially if you are working from home.

Gorgeous display. Meets all my check marks for the ultimate monitor for both gaming and work with current tech in 2020. Nano IPS has huge improvements over regular IPS. 144Hz refresh rate 1ms response time. G Sync Compatible. Minimal backlight bleed in my unit. The blacks are pretty deep for a Nano IPS, my LGC9 still wins in that department but would not risk a PC monitor with OLED burn in from static images all the time. Worth every penny. Absolutely top of the line product for my purposes. Only setback was the garbage delivery service carrier FEDEX whom Best Buy chose to deliver this...first got lost for 3 days. It only took 25+ calls to my local Fedex facility to finally get a manager/supervisor to figure out the driver delivered to wrong house. Thank goodness those recipients weren't criminals or thieves or I'd have been out $1700+ and a lot of added stress. Gorgeous monitor!!

I've had it for 1 year now. No issues whatsoever. It's a good monitor, the size is perfect, the refresh rate is great and the motion is smooth. To be fair though, I mostly use it for coding as it allows my IDE to have multiple files open and still see the debugger. I've had a larger monitor before, but it was too big and I had to swivel my head too much.

I've had this for a couple weeks now and am loving it! Great with my M3 macbook, running it through Thunderbolt. I also run a windows computer thru the Display Port and it does wonderful! Note: I got the maximum refresh rates thru the Thunderbolt and Display Port inputs using the correct wires (they do include wires though I needed a longer Display Port cable and had to buy one (v1.4)). I tried the HDMI ports using their cable and even getting ones certified for 8K and the best I got was a refresh rate of 75. Time will tell how it handles, but so far it's lived up to my expectations.

I had HIGH hopes for this monitor, but it leaves me wondering about how much some of the online reviewers are being paid for their glowing reviews. The black level is great,The colors are vibrant and I like the fact that I can connect this to my MacBook with just a single cable( MUST be a lightning bolt 4 cable -NOT USB C-). But I have already experienced some ghosting of browser pages ( eventually clears up by itself) and the monitor will randomly lose the signal from my MacBook (screen goes blank). For a monitor at this price point there should be no issues whatsoever. Do your research but don’t get drawn into the hype… If theses issues can be fixed by LG this is a 5⭐️ monitor, but for now it only get a generous 4⭐️‘S

I needed a USB-C monitor that could charge my laptop, have enough screen real estate to work, and at the same time have a chance to play (G-Sync only on Displayport). Exceptional quality screen; the only concern is the cost of entry
