Great sound, but too many issues with connection

First off, let me say that this system has excellent sound! It has very clear and great audio; well rounded in regards to the treble, mids, and bass (which doesn't hit too hard); and was very straightforward setting it up. After running cables to the module for the rear speakers, installing speaker mounts, and performing cable management, it took about an hour to set up (mainly because I'm a perfectionist in this area). That being said, connectivity is bad. I have it connected via optical cable and approx. four feet from my router (it's behind my TV, and I can't move it), and it has a lot of connection issues. For the first 10-20 minutes of watching anything, the sound constantly cuts in and out like it stops broadcasting to the rear speakers and subwoofer. While it does this, only the speaker bar is functioning and it sounds very hollow and distant. The woofer is literally right next to the speaker bar, and the rear speaker receiver is in clear site of the speaker bar. After this time frame, the system finds a frequency it likes and sticks to it a majority of the time. Everything that uses internet around it is connected via ethernet since I was trying to minimize the number of objects broadcasting a wireless frequency. But the absolute glaring downside is the Bluetooth connection. While my phone is maybe three feet away playing music, it disconnects within 3-5 minutes. I don't know if this is an iPhone X issue or what, but I haven't had my phone randomly disconnect from any other Bluetooth device that I own. It makes me very sad because I love the sound this produces when it works properly. I would absolutely recommend this, but only if your router is on the other side of the room, or in another room altogether, and if LG issues a patch for these two glaring flaws.

Really adds that missing depth to movies that built in speakers just can’t deliver and just adds that extra pop to everything else! I paired it with a 43 inch LG 4K set. Setup was a breeze!

The product is beautiful. The wood is smooth and has a great finish to it. It took me about 4 hours to assemble, so it’s a bit time consuming but the finished product is worth it. The instructions are clear. My three star rating comes from the quality control of the company. I began assembling the product, and when I was finished and about to flip it over is when I noticed one of the corners appears to have broken off. It seems the company took notice and glued it back, but didn’t paint it or make sure the finish was done well. I paid over $400 to get a new, quality product, and that is not what I recieved.

extremely clear sound with lots of volume. took maybe 35 minutes to install and set up. The instructions were minimum at best. But actually went together rather easily. It is wireless (in a sense) The rear speakers are amazing (. I put mine about 10 feet behind me). There is a volume control on the remote for rear speakers) Which are considered wireless. But it is only wireless from the sound bar. The rear speakers are wired to a router (which also plugs into a power source/ wall outlet. These rear speakers are Bluetoothed to the sound bar. I powered up and it instantly connected to sound bar. The surround sound is amazing the volume is loud. loud enough to get in trouble with a neighbor. and the bass is unbelievable! and its quality sound. I also bluetoothed my phone to the sound bar (less than 2 minutes) Very simple and everything went right. My main reason for this was to watch tv like war movies and play music via TV / Youtube. Drawback is there is very little info on sound bar. shows no volume level (just flashes a dot/light when you change volume. Does not really show you if you are on tv, bluetooth or? again just a dot that changes position/flashes. But overall I love this set up. The rear speakers really make sound come alive. I bought mine on sale for 219.00 at best buy. (something like 300 or 400 when not on sale). it also set itself up to automatically power up when you turn on the TV. You can get cheaper sound bars for under a hundred bucks but there is no comparison. (and none have rear speakers like this one does) If you spend hard earned money, spend a little more and make it worthwhile. Something you are proud of. It is a incredibale system I think most of us would be extremely happy with.

This soundbar is actually underrated, and there is a lot of confusion with this product. Is it surround? or just same audio from soundbar reflected on back speakers? well let me explain everything, is actually both, and you don't need a receiver to make it work, it's just plug and go. I got it plugged and ready to go in 20 minutes , when I turned on the soundbar the subwoofer and back speakers paired automatically, and instantly. The back speakers look pretty sexy on the back of my recliner, I placed them one on each side of the recliner, and their volume is clear, and powerful. The back speakers connect with wires to a (UNIT BOX) , that (Unit BOX) plugs into the wall outlet. I did hide the (UNIT BOX) behind my recliner and the cables as well, it looks clean. There is no wires going from rear speakers to soundbar, the subwoofer is totally wireless. CONS- The soundbar doesn't display volume level but it really doesn't matter, because the max volume is really all you need, it's the perfect volume for a movie, and I have high vaulted ceilings and it made my full living room loud and clear. The speakers on the back really blow my mind , I mean, it really comes very close to a surround system because you can actually hear different (background sounds) coming from the back speakers, and the main dialogue (voices) come from the sound bar. The volume of the subwoofer is weak during the movie, during the (dialogue), but I've noticed bass volume goes up very loud on scary parts only, and back to normal on the rest of the movie, (just like a theater). So don't expect the subwoofer to shake your house because it won't do it, however my wife jumped up scared when the bass goes loud all of the sudden.I tested this soundbar TV + optical cable + soundbar, that's it (Optical cable included). I launched Netflix with my Sony 4K TV and played FRIENDS The (1994 TV SHOW). My wife was getting scared because the laughter was coming only from the back speakers and dialogue voices from soundbar, and you really think there is someone behind laughing LOL. After playing friends I launched an old movie on Netflix and the surround stop working, the rear speakers only reflected the soundbar audio, so it was only audio all around me, The reason for this is because not all movies from Netflix are (5.1 audio), So the movies or TV shows that doesn't say (5.1 audio) they won't work surround sound like (Friends TV show 5.1 audio). I don't have a DVD with surround, so I can't leave my opinion on that, although I never expected to get surround sound only with the Netflix app from my TV, which is very cool. I mean come on, this is the only soundbar with back speakers, if you really want a complete surround system people need to understand you will need a (RECEIVER UNIT) 300 DL plus 200 DL of speakers kit, in total at least 500 DL. I bought this soundbar on 02/13/18 on sale for 193.99 + tax. It said regular price 400 DL which I don't think it's worth buying it at that price range. I feel 200 DL is a good invested hard working money on this soundbar. I hope this review helps anyone out there looking to buy this nice soundbar.

This soundbar/rear speaker combo gives me mixed feelings. There are several things good about it: setup is very easy, the build quality is superb, it pairs directly to my LG TV and I can control it fully through the TV (which is mainly why I got an LG system), and it is LOUD (normal listening volume is around 10/100). It has very good sound quality on almost all the inputs (more on that later). Also, the surround sound is very nice. Even though it's not true "surround sound," it works well for what it is. There are quite a few negatives though. I can control the volume through my TV, so I can see the volume level, but there is no display on the soundbar to tell you the volume level. So if you don't have it paired with your TV - or have it on any other input - you have to guess what volume level you're at. Also, for having such a large subwoofer, there's a surprising lack of bass. with the woofer all the way up in "bass blast" mode, there still really isn't that much bass. Also, the audio quality on the Bluetooth is quite lacking. It sounds almost tinny, kind of like satellite radio. The rear speakers are also plasticy and kind of cheap-feeling. Don't get me wrong, this is a fairly good soundbar - miles better than the normal TV speakers - and I'm glad I bought it. I would recommend it for an entry-level sound system, just be sure you know what you're getting. I'm just glad I got it for $170 because I would be a bit disappointed if I spent $400 on this.

Got his on sale for like $179.00 which was like half price at the time. Syncs perfect with the TV. Only complaint is that it sometimes seems like the back speakers which are Bluetooth cut out occasionally, but for the price I can complain too much. Otherwise sound is terrific!

Got this on sale for 50% off. Took longer to unpack it than to set it up. Sub woofer and rear speakers connected immediately and automatically. Excellent build quality and excellent sound. Got this connected to my 75” LG TV. Feels and sounds like I’m in a theater. Don’t be afraid to crank it up. You will be impressed.

Sound bar is definitely an upgrade over the tv speakers. It delivers sounds that are not as clear with just the tv speakers. I wish I could adjust the output of the mid and high frequency’s which could make the sound a bit clearer, but for the price it’s deninitely an upgrade (I got it on sale for $159). Another sound bar sounded better at the store but it was $899.

My first soundbar system I have owned. I replaced my old (>20 yrs) component system of receiver, subwoofer, and five speakers. Wanted to streamline my entertainment system with less equipment. The sound is different, but not bad. I really like it overall. The main problem is with the source. On certain movies where they hype sound effects it can over shadow the voices, which is a common problem with any system. The volume control for the rear speakers is useless, which is why I only rated it a 4. LG engineers should have paid better attention to this fact. However, upon trial and error, I purchased a small volume control "switch" to control the rear speakers volume, set the surround sound function on the soundbar off and the sound is really, really good. Still, the film companies need to address how they "mix" sound for the release of their movies.

Great sound and quality for the price. This not surround sound, more like sound all around you. The high deff is a nice upgrade as well. If you can't afford or don't want to spend more, buy this; you will be happy. There are wires on the rear speakers, but they don't have to go all around your room, so they are easily hid. Just know, it is not all wireless.

The sound quality on all speakers is top notch. I not only connected it to my LG tv but also to my record player. The only negative things I have to say about this is that the smaller speakers are not truly wireless, but it does mention that so it’s not a big deal. Also, from time to time the rear speakers lose connection for a few seconds. But it’s not often

I love the compatibility with my LG tv (don’t have to fuss with multiple remotes), and connecting my phone via Bluetooth was very simple. The sound quality is amazing.
