Talked to many people at stores about the most effcient washer and what cleans the best. have to say when I was pointed to this one and purchased it i was NOT diappointed. We have 4 cats, and this front loader might take a bit longer than a top loader but it removes all pet hair. Had a blanket that was a layer or three thick with cat hair, last washer was never able to ever get it really clean, this washer on 1 time through got it all!!! So if you have pets then this washer is a MUST!!!

I have only had the washer a week now, but I've used it daily and have decided it's ok. Frankly, I hated to purchase a foreign made product, however, after an exhaustive search for a new washer/dryer that got decent enough reviews and fit my space and budget requirements, I select the LG. The HE units are so HE that you have to select the Extra Water option EVERY TIME in order to get your clothes clean. The LG pedestals are cheap piece of lollipop, too. Nothing compares to the Maytags I had years ago before Whirlpool purchased/cheapened the Maytag brand. It might make me sound like an old goat, but it seems like everything, even appliances, are made to last only a few years. The LG unit plays a nice little tune when the cycle is over, perhaps to cheer you up that you had to pay $1,500 to get a marginally decent w/d set.

Have had this washer for a month and love it. It's fast and efficient, easy to use, loads and unloads quickly. There are lots of functions, I particularly like the extra water temp control of "semi-warm", and the "water plus" which adds more water if needed for the load. The spin function does an excellent job and cuts drying time in half. After my last washer that I had to "babysit" almost every load due to balance issues [the machine itself]. It was replaced due to my extended warranty and I got this one to replace it. I am very happy with it.

We have had this machine for a month now and so far so good. Never had a front load machine before so we were a little unsure of how good it would clean the clothes. Do not worry! I have washed LARGE and small loads and every time the clothes come out clean. The owners manual has a listing of what settings you should use for just about each type of clothing. The only thing that I couldn't find was for tennis shoes. I ended up washing a few pairs of blue jeans with the shoes so that the shoes would be making so much noise. Worked fine with little bumping.

I bought it on the recommendation of a repair man plus it was on Black Friday sale. Had it only for a week but I hope it will last longer than 6 years like my whirlpool duet. It needs non skid pads which were not delivered. Without them it’s very noisy when spinning. Customer service mailed us the pads and it makes a huge difference. It was a hassle to get these pads which were probably thrown out with the packaging. Very sloppy delivery

This is a really great washing machine. Huge capacity. Gets clothes clean. Like with any front-loader, you should leave the door open between loads and regularly clean out the filters/traps to prevent mold and odors. It cannot heat the water hotter than your house hot water - you'll have to pay for a higher model for that. It's a great deal for what you get though.

I bought this for my household after suffering though a whirlpool that was a lemon out of the box. My main reason for buying this was reviews by friends. I have three friends who all have this washer. All of them have had it for over 5 years with one going on year 12. None of them had a bad word to say about it. The 10 Year warranty was the kicker.
The first load through it you could already tell it was wetting the whole load not just parts of it like the previous one. The clothes came out softer and more clean feeling.

We needed to replace our front loading LG Washing Machine, which had lasted 12 years, with preferably another LG of the same color and dimensions and at least the same functionality for a reasonable price. Our evaluation pointed to another LG machine which met, or exceeded, our requirements and Best Buy had, by far, the best price. Their buying process, in-home delivery and set-up, and removal of our old machine were second to none.

This washer is a replacement for 9 yr old LG washer that suffered shaft bearing failure. Appears that this is a common occurrence in front loaders. New washer has 10 yr drive-train warranty. Decided to replace with same LG model to match with paired LG dryer. Set is quiet, efficient and looks great. Only issue is that washer door and door seal must be wiped dry and door must be left open to prevent mold growing on the rubber seal surfaces. As our utility room is a walk-through to the garage, the open door protruding into the walk space is less than ideal.

We are a family of 8 and bought this to replace our last LG workhorse that lasted 12 years of daily loads. This is not the fanciest model that LG makes but it is reliable and has all the features we need. One feature that I really like is the "add garments" mode that allows you to pause the machine and add an item you may have missed (this happens a lot with kids). The machine is very quiet which is awesome for us because it lives right next to our bedroom and I have a habit of putting a load in overnight.

I recently purchased this washer to replace a 10 year old front loader that just stopped working, really with no warning! I did research and determined the LG had the features, value and reliability that I was requiring. It has some quirks, the way it fills with water, makes you think it's not going to have enough to wash a load of clothing. The clothes come out very clean and I hope I'm saving on water and energy. I've used the smart diagnostics and it's ok. Hopefully nothing goes wrong with the machine. It's very quiet and doesn't vibrate too much. My previous machine was prone to "walking" sometimes. LG seems to have built a solid machine that cleans clothes very well.

Nice features! Large capacity tub that allows you to wash comforters etc. The tub tilts backwards a little which helps keep water from settling into the rubber seal. My older washing machine did not have that feature so the seal had to be cleaned often to prevent mold. There are several pre-set modes that fit all your washing needs. You even get a nice little song to let you know your clothes are done, and ready to be put in the dryer. Very happy with my new washer so far!

Washes Excellant and saves Water

When I purchased my Front loader, I researched how the system conserves water by only filling bottom half level of machine. You can use less detergent than a top loader machine because of the lower volume of water. As an engineer, gravity of the clothes tumbling helps in the cleaning process compared to a top loader in which an agitator must move the clothes for the cleaning process.

I'm really impressed with this Washer. So far I've washed six loads of laundry including my king sized quilt. It manhandled it all with ease. I like the magnet that keeps the door open when you are done washing for the day. It uses very little detergent, so that saves me money. This washer took the place of a compact washer that was way to small. It last 10 years and finally quit working right, so it was time for a new one. I really love this washer, it does a great job at cleaning laundry.

Bought this as Open Box and it was probably a returned unit. It is replacing an earlier model front load LG. I would have to say I don't like this Washer quite as much as the previous unit. It seems to get out of balance easier and is a bit noisier than the previous washer. It has slightly larger capacity and spins faster which may be part of the issue. I have verified it is installed level, & checked settings. Overall I would consider it a good washer for the money, but not exceptional.

This is my first front loading washer and I like it so far. I like the ease of the detergent drawer.
The feature I really like, which I was informed of by the best buy salesperson is that you can keep the door cracked open but still secured in place. I have no idea how it works but its some sort of invisible latch and helps dissuade my initial worries about having to keep the front load open to prevent moisture issues.

My main reason for purchasing this was the reviews I got from people around me. I have three friends that already own this one. After what seemed to be a tragic comedy of events with the previous washer (Whirlpool I'm looking at you) I was in need of something that would last longer than 5 years. My friends have had theirs for 10,7 and 3 years so far. It runs quiet and plays a little tune for you when its done.

Chose this over Samsung due to slightly larger capacity and because of Samsung washer recall history. Very quiet washer except for spinning heavy loads. Requires regular maintenance to prevent mold on gasket, but typical of front load. Very satisfied going from maytag top load agitator to this. Highly recommended.

I like the fact that this saves water and is very functional. My clothes comes out super soft my husbands work clothes comes out smelling very clean! The options it comes with are very functional! And if you’re one of those parents who are afraid their child might get stuck in the water there are features for that as well. The only thing I can really complain about is if you have a few heavy jeans in the it does become quite noisy.

This is a standard unit. It makes some noises when it's on a high spin - so out of fear I almost never put it on high spin, and when I first set it up it wouldn't allow water to fill, which after wiping it down with alcohol at the inlet somehow it magically fixed that problem and it started working. Not sure if it will last a good 20 years like washing machines used to - and that just kind of sucks. BUT - it does wash our clothing well now that it does work, and as long as the spin cycle doesn't cause any issues, we are happy with it overall.
