I absolutely love my new washer and matching dryer. Considering the dimensions of the laundry closet, I thought I’d end up with something the size of my defunct set. However I was pleasantly surprised the space could accommodate a washer/dryer with a larger capacity than I previously had. Thanks to Best Buy’s measuring service I found this out. I haven’t used all the settings and functions or connected it to my wifi yet, but it works really well and I’m quite hapoy with it. One thing no one mentions, you’ll need to use detergent that’s labeled “HE”, being energy efficient operating with less water standard detergent isn’t compatible.

Great value, extremely quiet, washes the clothes very well and easy to use.

We have been very happy with our recent purchase of the LG 4.5 cu. ft. 10-cycle front loading washing machine. We saw that it had a great rating (I believe it was 4.7 with hundreds of reviews). We have had good performance from other LG products, so we were hoping this would live up to our high expectations, and it has. This is our first front loading machine, and we are fine with it. However, we have been told we have to consistently wipe down the glass and seal after each use to prevent mold/mildew. That's something we didn't have to deal with when we had the top loaders. This machine is nice and quiet, and we like that. We also like the idea of using less water. If I had it to do over, I would buy this same machine. Very pleased.

Washer was easy to install but need 2 or more people to get in pedestal. It has WiFi capability to tell you when your load is done and to also help to troubleshoot problems the the washer. It doesn’t seem to allow you to change the side to open the washer if you wanted it to be on the left side of the dryer. You have to make sure after you wash and remove clothes that you wipe down the wet areas on and around the door opening. The washer works very well and I’m happy with the purchase.

This is my 2nd washing machine in the past 22 - 23 years! I LOVE how quiet it is and how it sends out a tune when the wash is done. Still learning how to use the other functions on the machine

I really like this washer. All the different settings for towels, bedding, and regular loads of clothes gets everything clean. The washer is quiet when washing. The musical chime at the end of the wash cycle is very enjoyable.

The performance of the washer, I am sure will be great but the LCD panel is way below LG quality. I can't believe LG is selling a product with a LCD panel that is not backlit. I have to use a flashlight to see the wording on the panel. In addition, LG's attitude seems to be "It is what it is". My 12 year old LG had a very bright LCD panel. I just don't get it.

We like having 10 cycles. We especially like the bedding, towels, and heavy duty cycles.

What a nice washer. I had issues when it was delivered and not leveled but geek squad came out and corrected that. Now if I can get it to connect to home WiFi I would give it five stars.

Purchased the washer in Dec and found a lot of concrete pellets fallen onto the ground after using it for about 2 weeks. Called Bestbuy who sent a technician to repair it as it was not returnable after 15 days. What we found was: both counterweights were designed to be hollow and filled with concrete. The opening was not sealed but wrapped with electrical tape. The tape of the right counterweight was broken that was why concrete pellets were spun out. The technician came back on Jan 11 with the replacement part which he found was the same after unpacking it: filled with concrete and taped. I don't understand why LG cut corners like that. How much could they save - a few dollars I think. Please look at the pictures I took.

Easy to use!! Larger load capacity than our previous washer.

MOST people that are having vibration issues aren't doing the few simple requirements and that's not the machines fault. Proper initial setup and adjustment will solve 99% of this and prevent future issues. What to check for if yours is doing this and how to avoid it. It's not rocket science and is very simple to have a correctly installed machine, thus increasing its lifespan and performance. Note: About 1/4 inch of vibration is normal during spin. First, MAKE SURE THE SHIPPING BOLTS ARE REMOVED!! On the back of the washer is 4 shipping bolts. These bolts hold the drum during shipment. These MUST be removed or the machine will dance all over the place and eventually will do severe damage to the unit. Second, Make sure the machine is LEVEL both front to back and side to side. Adjust the feet and use a cheap bubble level from any hardware store. Third, Make sure the machine is on a solid surface. If it's on a flimsy bouncy floor, this will transfer through the machine causing it to bounce. A solid wooden floor is fine, notice I said solid. Not a 1/4 inch sheet of wafer board with no supporting joists. Mine is on a solid wooden floor and I have no issues, so don't be afraid if it's not on concrete. Last, don't overload the machine with 30 pounds of laundry or use the wrong wash cycle for what's inside it. For example, don't wash bedding on the normal cycle. Tip: If your using liquid fabric softener, cut it by 50% with water then dump it in the dispenser. This will prevent the thick concentration from plugging the machine or building up with residue over time. I dump half the softer out of the jug then fill with water that way it's diluted and ready to go every wash. The review..... I'm very impressed with the operation of the unit. Some have complained about the control panel being to dark to see. Yes, if the machine is in a dark closet or dark laundry room this could be a problem. I have plenty of light, so I'm not having a problem seeing the functions and options clearly. I think most with good eyesight and a well lit laundry closet will be fine. The machine is very easy to use!! It cleans my laundry perfectly! It's quiet and I'm extremely satisfied with the purchase. I thought the wifi connectivity was a gimmick, but I thought wrong. It's nice to have my cell phone alert me when a wash cycle is done and I can check on the laundry to see how much time is left right on my cell phone from the couch. I can even throw the laundry in, walk away and setup the wash cycle from my phone. How cool is that! This machine is worth every penny! On a scale of 1-10 I give it a solid 9.

Haven't used it yet. So I'll let you know when I know how it works.

I have had several washer & dryer sets over the years, 4 to be exact, and this is the best washer I have ever had. I am so pleased with everything about it. It is easy to operate, other than the settings panel that is not backlit. This is my first front loader and I can't believe how much more efficiently it runs. Much less water is needed, It is quiet, and has lots of settings for different loads. So many features are easy to use. Best of all, our clothes come out super clean, smelling great, and wrinkle free. There are options for short cycles and delayed cycles too. It offers a Large capacity drum for bigger things like comforters and quilts which is really nice. I highly recommend this washer!!!! I love my new washer!!

I've owned this washing machine for 2 weeks now. I did a ton of research before I came to the decision to purchase this machine - consumer reports, youtube, customer and retailer reviews. It replaced a top load he whirlpool cabrio that had bearing failure after ~5yrs. My first impression is that this is a waaaaaay better machine. I was a little nervous to pull the trigger after reading some of the 1 star reviews. Then I came to the conclusion that many of those reviews spoke of issues on machines that were most likely lemons, and that is just something that happens in manufacturing sometimes. Other negative aspects that I noted in other reviews include a hard to read display and that the normal wash cycle is too long. The design of the display with no back light is odd, but it's not a huge issue for me and was not a deal breaker. My washer is in a closet with a decent light overhead so it's pretty easy to see/read. No flashlight needed here. As for the long wash cycle - it typically takes 70 minutes for me to wash a load on the normal setting. If I pack the sucker full the wash time can be 90+ min. I don't have a problem with the 70 min cycle because my he dryer takes about 70 min to dry that same load, so I might be waiting around for the dryer anyways if it went any faster. I think this washer cleans fairly well, much better than my old he top loader. I did have the opportunity to try to wash a pretreated blood stain that was <1 day old and it wasn't successful. So for that I took away 1 star. I don't find that this is a very loud washer and I'm pretty sure that in the reviews where people found that it's loud there was surely an issue with the machine. The SmarThinq app connection is kind of useful. It tracks the usage to determine when the machine should be cleaned, allows you to add 1 unique wash setting, and alerts you when the wash is done or if there's an error. For the price point I think this washer was easy to settle on. Now I'll just have to see how it holds up over time.

I would have given the machine 5 stars, but the control panel is unlit making it very difficult to read the settings. It would have been so easy for them to back light the panel. Very poor design. The machine performs well but because of the difficulty in reading the control,panel, I could not recommend this washer to other people. There are others with the same comment so at least LG knows about it, now, please correct it!

This must be my favorite purchase in recent memory. This washer performs great. It is quiet, it is easy to install. My pro tip. the shipping bolts are in tight. Loosen them until they spin freely. Then yank on the black rubber bumper with all you got. I had to use pump pliers to grab them tight enough. Leveling was a breeze with the provided tool. Once installed the washer performs great. It was easy to connect to our WIFI network and combined with the matching dryer our clothes have never felt so clean and fresh. We chose this model from a C.R recommendation and could not be happier. The only complaint is the control panel is not backlit but we knew this going in and not a cause for a complaint
