Top Notch 4K For Streaming Households For the price point. Super clear Picture and honestly was very surprised at the interface (getting around to find shows).
Value add, I have an iPhone, and downloaded the LG TV Plus Remote (free) and it made using the TV even more user friendly. Especially for those times when the wife is laying on the remote and I don’t want to get punched or meet the dark worlds apprentice because I woke her up (lol don’t ask).
The only thing I would add is if you watch a ton of high refresh rate content (sports, gaming) this will certainly be better than average, but obviously there are better TV’s for that. But you’ll spend probably 3 times, if not more, as much.

I finally bought a Smart Tv for my room and I love the 49 in LG. It’s very clear and the sound is excellent. I’m still getting used to it because I had a regular tv for over 10 years now. Accessing Netflix is super easy with a touch of one button. You won’t be disappointed if you buy.

I bought this same TV last year on Black Friday. I liked it so much that I bought a 2nd on to put on the wall right beside it. Now I can watch two different sporting events at the same time. I put the LED strips on the back and now I can display my team colors while watching.

"Still Going Strong After 7 Years – LG TV 49inch
Posted .

I purchased this LG 49-inch TV back in 2018, and I have to say, it’s been one of the most reliable electronics I’ve ever owned. Seven years later, it’s still running flawlessly, proving that LG truly delivers on quality and durability.
The picture quality remains crisp and vibrant, even by today’s standards. Whether I’m watching movies, streaming shows, or gaming, the colors are rich, and the contrast is excellent. The sound quality, while not the most advanced compared to today’s models, is clear and perfectly fine for casual viewing.
What’s most impressive is the longevity. There have been zero issues—no screen dimming, no glitches, no hardware failures. It’s been moved a couple of times over the years, but it’s held up like a champ.
The smart features are slightly dated compared to newer models, but apps like Netflix and YouTube still work seamlessly. LG’s interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, and the remote is simple and functional.
Overall, this TV has exceeded all expectations. If LG’s newer models are built with the same level of quality, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one. Highly recommend LG for anyone looking for long-lasting performance.

This was my first ever 4K T.V. purchase and it took me months before I could finally bite the bullet and hand over this amount of money for a new T.V. But boy am I glad I did. I love this T.V. with a passion. It is extremely beautiful and the HDR capability really makes the blacks darker and provides more true to life color. I hooked up my Playstation 4 Pro and the 4K HDR looks incredible. The smart T.V. functionality is fantastic and having quick select buttons on the remote for Netflix and Amazon are extremely useful. Mounting it on the wall was a breeze and it looks stunning on the wall. I highly recommend this T.V. especially for the price. You get a quality brand and a very good sized T.V. I highly recommend it!!!!!

Originally had a TCL 49 4K. After 3 months the backlight had sum issues and since best buy doesnt repair that TV I decided to pay a little extra and get the LG for a replacement.
What a difference. Lots of settings to play with to get the picture you want. TruMotion can be turned on/off and even customized. I actually like the soap opera effect to a certain degree and having the ability to speed and slow judder effect is awesome.
HDR Looks great on xbox one s. Ive played a couple of 4k discs, Gears of War 4, Forza 7 along with Netflix and everything looks great. Not the most uniform blacks but this is a really good tv.
WebOs is great. Not slow, minimal lag and it does a good job of getting to the settings and smart content. Overall this is a great tv at a great price with one of top 5 tv manufacturers.

I bought this TV as a replacement for the 42 inch that was in my room. My room is on the larger size and I definitely see the difference with the upgrade! Great picture, love the built in Smart features without having to use a streaming device and what a great price! Best Buy price match guarantee cannot be beat :) The only downside is it wouldn't fit on my bedroom chest. Great reason to shop for new bedroom furniture!

I just bought this tv used from a local seller. It's the first tv I've ever purchased, and I'm used to watching our 2011 LG OLED in contrast, so take that to heart when reading this review. OLEDs are the BEST. EVER. If you're going to pay $1500 or more, go with OLED. I guarantee the image quality and contrast will outperform any 2020 QLED available of any size. Trust me. Now on to this tv. I wanted a tv cheap for the bonus room, the best I could get for around $250 used, and this is what I landed on for purchase. The original buyer had purchased it from Best Buy a few years ago during black friday, and it has a total of 7523 hours of total power on time. That's 2500/year of usage or 3.5 hours of use every day for 3 years assuming they bought it 3 years ago. When the tv is showing a blank or mostly blank screen, you can notice some light leaking around the edges, which you can see in the picture I included. When I'm watching tv, I generally don't notice it. There is an ever so slight flicker for the first minute or so on rare occasions after you turn it on. When you first turn on the tv, it shows the LG emblem for about 5 seconds while it boots up. Our OLED just shows a black screen during this time instead. When watching, this tv is noticeably poor picture quality in comparison to the OLED. So much so that I wasn't sure if I made a mistake after buying it. As we have watched it more however, we have gotten used to the picture and I would say it's pretty good. Good, yes. Amazing like the OLED? Obviously not. Does it fit the bill for a $200 tv purchase? Yeah. I wouldn't have spent more than $400 brand new on a picture quality like this. It is better than what Vizio currently provides, as I've seen the 2020 LG led models in store next to the Vizio. Will this tv stand up in terms of not leaking at the edges of the screen even more over time? 3 years of use seems to have shown it isn't reliable in that respect. In contrast, our OLED is 8.5 years old and still perfect. This tv is great if you're looking for a deal with decent picture quality, but don't expect high quality in terms of build or longevity. You do pay for what you get when it comes to quality and reliability with LG.

The LG 49UJ6300 model first caught my eye in the store, however, it was more expensive than this model. After comparing the specs, these two TVs are virtually the same with some very minor differences. Right out of the box, the setup was easy and straight-forward. The picture quality is pretty good, and does not seem to be bleached out when viewed at an angle from the sides. The sound quality is decent, but sometimes feels a bit muffled. I wish the remote was a little bit bigger. The navigation through the TV settings is easy, however it is a little tough when I am trying to type something in the search bar (for example, on the YouTube app) using the remote. I like a lot of the built in applications on this TV, like Netflix and Hulu. I can even browse the web!

For those of you who read the customer reviews as a help in your decision making process, this Product will meet your expectations in regards to ease of setup, picture quality and smart Functions. The basic sound of the TV is lackluster at best. With all the technology built in for the Picture, WIFI, Smart OS, the sound is quality is barely functional. I have better sound quality from my $10 gas station blue tooth speaker. You must consider purchasing some additional sound source(sound bar, surround sound) if this is your main TV.

I am using this tv more than a month. It is worth buying at this price ($390)for 4k tv. You will experience HDR as well. Easy to use interface. Casting works well. No other competitors provide these features with this price tag. Color saturation is good close to Samsung.

Good picture quality, easy to use. Like that it's a Smart TV and has all of the apps already on it, so no need for a Roku or Apple TV. Nice TV for the price (purchased on sale for $369). Works perfectly for my bedroom.

My fiancé and I stumbled upon this television while looking for a microwave. The TV was open box, as is and was missing the power cable, stand and remote. We got all three of these accessories for $30 so it was no big deal. The tv works like new, the image is insanely clear and the features on the tv are functional, modern and easy to use. We keep this tv in the living room and our bigger smart tv in the bedroom because guests love the clear image!

I bought this TV for my mother/father in law's master bedroom. It replaced a really old Samsung bulky TV. It fit perfectly inside their entertainment center and they are really enjoying the upgrade in clarity. The speakers are also much easier to hear. They also like having a smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Video etc built in.
Great TV and well worth the money. This TV goes on sale periodically so keep checking back for the sales.

When my old 720p plasma above the corner fireplace died, I went through quite a process trying to pick a replacement. Eventually I ended up buying a Samsung TV that is a pretty close competitor to this model... I liked that TV a lot, but it had a VA panel and it turned out that the viewing angle compromises inherent to that were just too much to handle (even just a little move off-center caused notable degradation of contrast/brightness/color, becoming severe when viewed from several seats in my living room)... that TV just was not a good choice for a corner installation.
I eventually landed on this LG TV - it had many features similar to what I liked in the Samsung, and was even a little lower priced at the same size. This TV has an IPS panel, and as expected for that technology, dark-room straight-on picture quality is not quite as good as the VA Samsung was; however, it is still quite good. The big difference is viewing angle - this TV does suffer a little bit of contrast/brightness shift at extreme angles (say over 45 degrees or so), but colors hold up very well. As a result, the picture looks good from almost every spot in the room, or even when viewed from the adjoining room. Even at extreme angles, it remains watchable.
Ultimately, you pretty much have to go OLED for a true plasma replacement... but for a living room/over the fireplace/non-critical viewing application, I couldn't justify the $ for an OLED. I think an IPS LCD like this gets you reasonably close, at a much more favorable price point.
