So I upgraded from the LG SK8Y 2.1 and virtually everything about the new 5.1.2 bar is much improved. The size, the sound quality, and particularly the AI Sound Setup are all key differences that are pretty much impossible not to notice. The SK8Y was a great little sound bar for our apartment because we couldn’t really flex with it anyway, but as soon as we moved into our new house, it straight up was simply not enough. Our living room is a bit small and awkward which meant that a wired 5.1 system just wasn’t practical. After spending a couple days looking around at different specs and reviews for soundbars, this became the clear choice and I don’t regret a single cent of this purchase. One thing to note though: we’re a pretty hardcore LG household all the way around so we definitely had added benefits of ThinQ working in tandem with everything and the sound bar working hand in hand with the LG NanoCell television so I can’t speak to how much of a difference it would make if you didn’t have the whole ThinQ household. Note: the first image is with the old SK8Y on top of it for scale.

Purchased a new LG TV and it is awesome, but it sounded like a TV! I added this to the package, direct controlled through the TV, and this system brought the TV into the theater zone! I am simply ecstatic with my new LG And LG sound system! Perfect for me! The design is absolutely beautiful and looks perfect under my 65 inch TV. I love how the speakers fire up and out. Setup was a breeze. Just follow the directions and download a couple applications. The only thing thats a little tricky is if you go to switch between optical, wifi or a bluetooth device, things can be a little confusing depending on your tv audio settings. The sound is great and has AI calibration to adjust the sound perfectly to your room. The Dolby Atmos/LG Soundbar app you have to install seems very outdated and deftly needs a refresher... But that’s not too big of a deal. Just use the remote Setting it up to the Google assisted was very very easy and walked me through every step of the way. I never had a Google assisted but I am now learning all about it and using it constantly for weather and random tidbits of information. I would recommend using an optical wire or HDMI ARc because sometimes the audio can get out of sync and it is tough to adjust the delay through the application on your phone or TV

We bought this last year for my husband's basement man cave. Everything worked great until it didn't. He went to watch TV the other day and the sub woofer won't even connect to the sound bar. The led light doesn't even come on anymore so the sub woofer is basically dead. Had to contact LG customer support which is a joke and a pain all by itself. Anyways, after multiple transfers we finally got to talk to "Theresa" who is having us send it to them for them to troubleshoot, fix and send it back to us. We shall see how this goes. All in all it's a good system just wish it wasn't like most everything you buy nowadays that's just junk after using it a short time.

Very clear sound quality and easy setup! Purchased this soundbar set to replace a 2.1 bar. We have an apartment and didn’t want a sub so we wouldn’t bother the neighbors. Had heard that many bars just don’t sound right with the sun turned down to a minimum. Happily, this set can still sound good with the sun turned way down low. It definitely sounds better with the sun at a normal level, but it is absolutely still good sounding with it off at night. Bought this set open box, and it’s flawless. All accessories present, no cosmetic damage, all works properly.

The LGSN10YG is a beautiful well built soundbar. Large sound stage, good software app, easy room correction setting, music was balanced and the movies sound terrific with the up-firing and side-firing speakers supporting Dolby ATMOS. The one problem is on some shows with this full sound the dialogue is drowned out. I haven't found a correction for this. Hopefully LG can possibly do something about it, maybe an update will correct it. If the dialogue clarity is corrected this unit is a five-star rating and I'd recommend it.

I was not a huge fan of the sound of this set up. Set up is easy. Paired with a LG CX via EArc. The functionality of the bar is almost perfect. I had barely a issue. But there was just something lacking in the depth of sound. The sub is a little light on freq response range. I added the remote rears and still didn’t get it for me. On Atmos content is was very balanced and sounded pretty good. Precise. But just lacked some midrange I felt. Bar is VERY wide. Probably want to mount or have a wide shelf/stand. I swapped out for the Vizio Elevate. I prefer the sounds it makes, but not as easy to use and the Vizio app is glitchy at best.

Got this to go with new LG OLED 65” CX series TV. Great sound android love the Dolby Atmos. Setup was fine but you do have to jump between Google Home and LG Wi-Fi apps to fully setup. I had a little bit of trouble with the AI room calibration feature in the LG Wi-Fi app due to where I originally wanted to put my sub; however it did finally work once I put the sub closer to the sound bar. It’s a nice feature to be able to easily add the rear surround speakers for a full 7.1.2 experience. The soundbar was a bit bigger than I had imagined height-wise and with a non-wall mounted TV, it currently takes up some of the bottom part of screen so I will be looking to eventually mount the TV on the wall. Perhaps the one significant criticism is that there is an issue between Apple 4K TV and this soundbar after watching anything with Dolby Atmos content and reverting to non-Atmos content the sound cycles on and off. There are several threads online about this but had yet to be fixed. The fastest solution I’ve found is to turn the TV off for a few seconds, while taking the Apple TV out to the main menu and then turning the TV back on. At least this works for me utilizing the ARC-HDMI setup. Despite this, I’d highly recommend this soundbar.

Seemed like great sound when it works. I purchased this sound system for a second TV we rarely use. 1.5 years of very little use and the subwoofer no longer works and here’s the surprise…. Apparently you can’t buy a new matching subwoofer from Best Buy or from LG and other individually available LG subwoofers won’t pair. So without finding someone to service this paper weight my $1200 sound system has no base and I’m stuck. What a joke. Had I know this was even a possibility I’d have never purchased this combo.

I really like the Soundbar but very hard to get it tuned right to hear voices over noise and action. Sounds amazing at high volume. Only downside I have seen is at lower volume it is hard to get adjusted to hear voices clearly.

Pairs super well with my LG CX. I don't have the 'properly shaped room to take advantage of the DTS and Atmos sound, but this thing still sounds amazing. A little tweak to the center channel (+5) and the sub (-5) and I couldn't be happier.

Easy setup. Clear sound. Great bass from sub woofer. Great for 4k movies. Yet to experience the feeling that the sound from flying objects are flying above you in the room from the up firing speakers. However the sounds of gun fire, explosions, and sounds created for special effects are very good. The soundbar sits on the tv console maybe placing it higher, like on the wall, may improve overhead sound.

Positives: Setup was easy and fast. Subwoofer has good power and punch. It's an attractive unit and its height allows it to fit under TVs well. Surround sound ain't bad, although no amount of throwing can duplicate actual surround speakers. Cons: Music just doesn't sound good. It would occasionally mute itself during a commercial or scene change and you couldn't get it going again simply by pressing volume or mute, you had to re-pick the input source even though that source never changed. Ultimately it just cost way too much for how mediocre the sound is. For $1000-1200 you can do much, much better with a traditional AV system. If you do not intend to listen to music at all and simply want it for movies and it's clean and easy form factor, it ain't bad. But if you're hoping for a good hi res music playing system I'd go elsewhere, and I really don't know that any soundbar outside the Ambeo can provide that.

This sound bar sounds great! I picked it up on sale. I was a little disappointed that the Dolby atmos AI calibration requires the woofer to be next to the sound bar at the tv. I typically like to place it by my sofa. Very minor issues. This goes perfect with my LG GX tv and is louder then my previous sound bar at the same volume setting. The Audio for me is crisp and clear. I am very happy with it. The WiFi setup I will say was a little on the wonky side but once set up it seems to work great! To anyone looking to buy this I definitely would try to find it on sale and would never pay the $1000+ price tag.

I love LG products as a rule! I feel this sound bar would be a good product but I purchased it as an open box which the tag said great shape and no missing parts…. Not thinking I opened the box and pulled out the soundbar and sub and proceeded to plug them in… the soundbar powered up immediately, not so much for the sub woofer, no power at all. Then looking all over for the remote (which was missing). I had to pack up everything and return it. I have LG soundbar’s in other rooms and they sound great.
