There's only total happiness to share about this item. The washer is quiet, fast and smart. The advanced features are money saving and my electric bill went down even though we washed everything in the whole house last month. I had a washing party to say the least because everything I own fits in these new LG units. Even our overstuffed crazy huge King comforter...no problem. I definitely love this washer and strongly recommend

This LG Washer is excellent. It has a large capacity and numerous cycles. It is very quiet and very effective in removing previous stains. The addition of steam to a cycle seems to improve the cleaning. The installation crew was excellent - very careful in removing the existing machines and installing the new ones.

I love my washer and dryer pair it's doing a great job in cleaning and drying our clothes ! I bought geek squat protection for 5 years and I call them to do balance on the washer machine because it was shaking a little , after that it's working very quiet, and one time was a little leakage but it was my fault because I didn't clean filter on the front on time and didn't drain the water from the hose by the filter . After I clean it and drain it never happened again . I gave it 5 star because it's a high quality and good working machines and Best Buy have the best customer service ever I recommend to buy from Best Buy store. I cannot be happier with this purchase !!!!!!!!

I am so amazed at how quiet this washer can be. It is big so make sure you measure your space properly. I had to take the doors off my laundry space but I'm ok with that. Didn't purchase the stands initially but will be once I move

I researched before I purchased this and I am very happy with this. I have never owned a front loader before. I like the musical jingle when the load is done and I realized that I can press the start button in the beginning so the light comes on and I can see inside when I am loading or unloading the machine. I purchased the drawers below and I am glad that I did so it raises the machine. The washer is big and definitely takes up a lot of space in my utility room, which I was not expecting. Overall I am very happy with both the washer and the dryer. The newer models have the buttons built into the door and I felt that there were not enough reviews yet to determine if this could be a potential problem. I have washed a king size comforter and the size of the machine was more than accommodating. I am very happy with this model.

    Love Them!

I absolutely love my new washer and dryer!! With the sales, it was definitely a steal too!! They work fabulous, I was so excited, I found out they were installed yesterday and I immediately started laundry! Each load has come out perfect! Not only that, but they are so much quieter than my old set, I mean they can't be silent! But unless the house is silent, you aren't going to hear them in the next room. The only problem that I have had is that the hookups in my house are opposite than in most (washer on the right, dryer on the left), but that is just because we never switched them when renovating. Most set ups are left to right. But that doesn't pose that much of an issue, it's easy to deal with! The team that I worked with when purchasing was beyond fantastic and they got me even more excited about my new units, as well as sharing in my excitement!

After 9 years, our washer died so we needed to buy a new one. This washing machine has all kinds of buttons, but it's very simple to use without reading the manual. It's also super super quiet, plus it gets our clothes clean. One of the best features about this machine is the huge capacity size. This is great for any family with lots of laundry (we have a family of 4). We do laundry every day so if it can save time by only having to do one load per day, it's great. We also like to wash our blankets weekly so this holds our king sized comforter. I would recommend getting the pedestal with this so you don't have to bender over.

An excellent washer. Cleans well, and does it quickly and efficiently. The capacity is huge, it holds 12 full size bath towels with room to spare, or a full cal-king size bedding set with coverlet. The steam feature results in clean smelling laundry without the bleach smell. It's very quite, except for the knocking noise which comes from the water pulsing on and off for what I assume is the load sensing feature, though from what I understand a water hammer arrestor will fix this and isn't necessarily a problem with the washer.

    Definitely worth the money

like everyone else I was skeptical about the price of this washer. It's definitely worth the price though. it's easily cut the number of loads we have to do in half and it's so energy efficient. It uses a good amount of water for a front loader and cleans our clothes so well. I'm guessing for the person that posted the picture of the clothes getting torn they must have thrown in a garment that was falling apart and put it on the towels cycle or something. This washer is much more gentle on our clothes than a traditional washer. And it has gentle cycles that will barely toss your clothes from side to side being very gentle on them. I highly recommend this washer (and the matching dryer). For more details you can check our my review of this washer and the matching dryer on YouTube at http://youtu.be/P5Bf4XGweQw.

Bought as a replacement to a 20 year old top load. Worth the extra money on a mega capacity to wash comforters etc plus if it lasts 15 years the extra will be minimal. Extremely quiet and very little water use. No problem thus far on cleaning of clothes. Plug and play with simple instructions but also allows customizing the settings. Did not buy the base and at this point don't need too but might be valuable if you don't like to bend down as much.

Overall this is a wonderful machine with amazing capacity. It is easy to use and it is so quiet that we hardly know that it is on. The clothes come out clean and bright. We use HE soap so we use a very small amount. We can easily wash a bedspread and a comforter and still have room. If you have kids, especially little kids, this is the machine for you! I wish we had a machine like this years ago. Now with grandkids it is equally wonderful. You can also do small loads too if there is a need.

I had a LG before and was happy with it so I shopped for LG again. I did some research online and noticed the open box items. So when I got to the store there was actually this washer as an open box display model. Couldn't believe my luck. Capacity is awesome. I haven't used all cycles yet and I'm not even sure I ever will, but just having the choice is nice. Very quiet machine and very fast compared to my old model. I used the Steam option , it works very good. Did some comforters, it seams perfect for big loads. So .... I'm happy!

Our Neptune washer finally died after more than 10 years of service. So we decided to get a new one. With a household of 5, there's always lots of washing to do & we're always tired of having to do 4-5 loads in our 3.4 washer. So we decided to go big this time. We love the fact that our loads have dwindled down to 2 or 3 a week now! However, now we're actually in the market for a higher capacity dryer... a full load from the washer will no longer fit in the dryer & sometimes have to split the drying loads up. This thing is well balanced & quiet too. Our previous washer had to be loaded carefully & evenly otherwise it made loud banging noises as the drum tumbled & couldn't spin-dry properly. There were many times, I found the clothes were still completely soaked at the end of the cycle & had to run another spin cycle. So far, we've been happy with our washer purchase!

    Everything You Could Want/Need

We upgraded from an older agitator washer to the wm8000hva and its paired dryer dlgx8001v. There was a bit of modification in our laundry room due to the washer being relocated to the left because the door cannot be changed. These are large machines, so measure your space. The washer does pull in high pressure from the water lines, so you will need to address this upon installation. That being said, this washer does a wonderful job cleaning, and a lot of items at once. I have washed any and everything I could find to test it. From tons of pants, to mattress covers with sheets/coverlet, to pillows and lots of towels, and dog beds. Each time, changing settings for the different types of loads. Whites come out bright, jeans and towels have very little water in them to dry. Everything smells so good! Additionally, I didn't find anything in my research about "fresh care" for clothes, but the washer can keep clothes "fresh" for up to 19 hours! The drum light is awesome, the filter on the bottom, is easy to clean and the quality of the parts appears to be strong. Highly recommend this washer and its paired dryer.

I love this washing machine. The tub is huge. It fits twice as much as our old machine. The cycles are fast and based on the weight of the load so it uses less water and less electricity. I've used the Turbo Wash only twice, both for puppy accidents on his bed and some rugs. Both only took 15 minutes and came out spotless and smelling great. I use tap cold to wash. Using regular cold may take longer. I highly recommend this washing machine....just make sure you get the dryer too because the loads are so large that you'll probably have to run the dryer multiple cycles to get it all dry.

This is a great product for new or existing users who are researching online and stores to add new washer and dryer or replacing existing ones. I have been running this for a month now and no issues with the washers and dryers so far, they both run quieter, low vibration and noise because of direct drive motors on the washer, high spin speed for final spin cycle (1200 rpm), automatic load sensing ability, energy efficient, aesthetic design/look, lots of optional features, 4.9 cu. ft. horizontal washer can handle bulky/heavy duty loads. It may be little pricy initially, however, additional investment cost will pay off and break even over 2-3 years operations due to it's high energy efficiency utility cost savings over that period and due to it's reliability and minimum maintenance costs.

One of my first tests was to wash four bed pillows at the same time. The LG was up to the task. I have also washed a queen comforter in it. The washer is quiet and beautiful. I especially like the tub light and the magnet latch which holds the door partially open so it can dry out after use.

This washer is fantastic. Fast, quiet and handles large items easily. We've had no issues with unbalanced loads, it appears to take delicates well and doesn't appear to be hard on clothing. It also looks great (it's in a hall entryway from the garage so I see it every day) The front load features is very handy for unloading and side by side with it's twin dryer they are the ultimate power (wash) couple.
