Chosen over the LG 5.2 for its large drum, this easily takes the bedding and mattress cover in one wash. As advertised it is very quiet and stable- another plus as we have near neighbors. The array of programs and ease of use make laundry day a pleasure. Washing comes out cleaner than with our previous machine. Had it three weeks and so far very pleased!

We remodeled our home and got new appliances. I purchased this LG washer almost a year ago because of the size and tech reviews. Best Buy offered the best price, delivery and installation. I am very happy with the purchase. The delivery was when promised and the workers were polite and professional. This is a BIG machine so make sure your doorways and location accommodate the specs. I have 2 young adult sons and a teenage daughter, all of whom are athletes. This washer easily accommodates their soccer and lacrosse gear. I can wash a week's worth of their laundry at once if I want to. I also have no problem washing comforters and pillows. The washing process is different than the central agitator and I was skeptical of whether it would actually clean spots but the clothes come out really clean and well wrung out so drying time is shorter. If I wash a full load, I do have to dry portions of the washed clothes at a time because my LG dryer capacity is not as big. Also, this machine is so quiet, I can put on a load at night and sleep in the next room with no problem! LG is always reliable and this appliance is no exception.

We have had the washer for a few weeks now and it was definitely worth the price. No worries about not fitting anything in ever again. In fact, my 5.1 pregnant wife can barely reach the bottom. I would recommend measuring first if it is going into a tight space. I put it into a new house so it was a huge washroom space and it still barely fit, preview the picture below. an inch or 2 on each side maybe.... Very quiet, except for he song it sings when the washer is complete. The dryer is mutable and I am sure the washer is too, I just haven't figured it out yet. If these broke tomorrow, I'd get them again.

Large beautiful tub can tackle just about any load. We had a front loader and had too many issues with it. So far this machine has out performed our previous front loader.

I purchased this washer in May of 2017, just over 3 years ago. I have a small family of 4 and we use this washer minimally. The main electrical board went out and it needs to be completely replaced. I have never felt so ripped off in my life. A clothes washer that is minimally used should last more than 3 years!!! Will never buy LG again!

This washer is fabulous for the amount of laundry it holds, I have a family of 6, with 3 teenage boys. I do laundry every day. It is fairly easy to use and quiet. It seems to get everything clean and spins everything almost dry. The only con so far is my soap dispenser is full of water after every load - not sure why it's not draining but it is rather annoying to have to dump it every time I do laundry.

    Love My Washer

This washer is a godsend. It replaced a LG frontload washer I had. It washes and rinses better. No more skin-allergies for me. The washing can be a little rough but my clothes are very clean. I do not have the "mildewy" smell in my towels anymore. The faint smell of perspiration is not in the underarms of my shirts anymore. The only gripe I have is the spin cycle between the wash and rinse phases is very short and anemic, and the final spin of 1050 rpms only spin this speed for less than a minute. This is the only plus my frontload washer have over this washer. Also, I love love love that the Extra Hot water temp. is available for the Normal cycle. I use this setting for washing my whites which keeps them very white. I am very happy with my washer.

It's very quiet. Extremely water conservative. In fact, for me it doesn't use enough water. It does have a water plus setting which I use for every load. Clothes come out smelling clean, but it washes so gently I feel like I need to use way more soap. I think with an agitator or a front loader I'd feel like the clothes got cleaner. When I have stains to get out it's far too gentle. It's huge, so I'm able to wash large bedding items. But, I'd recommend a different washer for people with young children with a tendency to get messy/dirty as it won't get the stains out easily.

I previously had an LG front loader, but wanted to try this top-loading model for the jumbo capacity (5.7cu ft) since I have a king-sized bed. I've only had it a month. It seems to clean as well as my previous LG, which is a relief. Some of the steam cycles are so long that they would be impractical to use. That's a disappointment since the sanitize cycle on my older LG took only 2hrs15 minutes. IF YOU ARE SHORT, make sure you can reach the bottom of the wash tub to empty it. I'm 5'2" and I really have to stretch to get that last sock. This model might not be suitable for someone shorter who might not want to use a step stool to unload.

Best HE washer I have purchased

Have purchased HE front load washers in the past — this LG top loader is the best HE washer I have ever owned. It is quiet and has enough room for 2 king size comforters and sheets. Allergiene cycle works as advertised and my clothes have come out super clean. I always use the water plus option as well — although you really do not need it. The best thing is that it is whisper quiet except when filling up with water and draining — love that it has no agitator and uses less water and less detergent which is a big plus!! Purchased the same model for my mom as well — truly think this is the best and biggest washing machine on the market!

I love LG appliances. We love LG appliances. Bought our first set of LG washer and dryers back in October of 2003, and minus a few minor repairs here and there, they are still in use till this day. We just recently bought both the washer and dryer. It is most definitely an upgrade from the white to the black stainless (How often does one say that a washer and dryer looks sweet?) Well, it does. It is also ideal for large families. You can easily fit two loads of color clothes (warm water) in it and get things done! You're talking 14 different cycles. All I need is 4, but what the heck. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.

This washer makes the clothes smell cleaner than ever. Follow the basic instructions for detergent usage and no issues. EXTRA LARGE capacity. Quiet chime when cycle completes - only drawback - can't figure out how to turn that off entirely. The dryer model has that capability.

Outstanding product so far. Saw some comments but with the discount from it being open box. I took a jump at it. Never used, just didn't fit the original buyers location. So, I jumped at the price for the steamer! Then while using the device. You get this happy little song which we love. It does a great job on my polos with the steam and makes them feel great! Did my bedding sheets and blanket as we wanted to push it to its limit in the first 30 days. And this Tub handled it like a champ! Overall so far we like it and it's a great machine. It's in a separate doored off room and is quite as a baby.

This washer is great. It fits everything and gets it very clean. My only complaint is that it's not intuitive to add garments after the cycle has started. I have read the manual that came with it and played around with the controls but can't find a way to unlock it once it's started even though the add garment light is on. Also, there is a place to add liquid bleach right in the front - two people have added our detergent there because that seems like where it should go, without reading the fine print. The machine then has to be flushed to get the detergent out of that spot. The fill areas should be switched!

This thing could wash just about anything you have its enormous! It has customized settings for any and all types of materials as well. Not tech savvy? No worries! This thing makes it just about fool proof, you just select what you've put into the drum and it senses the weight and does the rest for you! It even controls how much soap and softener to add. I've had this washer and dryer combo about 2 months now and I'm absolutely in love with it!
