This is and outstanding TV. The picture is nothing short of amazing. Set up is easy, the remote is great and Netflix 4K looks ... well, really good!!!... I would recommend this tv to anyone looking to have the best!!! The black level is almost comical... watching in a dark room, if the beginning of a movie has a monment with just a black screen... you can find yourself in total darkness and wondering if the tv has shut off!!!

We bought this TV as we don't upgrade that often and wanted to best technology. I love the picture, the remote with point and click is a nice ay to navigate the menus, and the physical TV is beautiful.
On the negative side, the TV is just over 3 weeks old and started having an issue where it will turn itself off and then right back on when watching cable TV or movies. I have yet to call LG but when I have talked to people at Best Buy they don't know what could cause this. I have also had a few instances where I turn on the TV and cable box/DVD player and the TV tells me that no device is connected. I turn the device off than on and it works fine. I would think a brand new TV wouldn't have any of these quirks.

I was able to pick up this TV as an open box special since it was the floor model. I was a little worried about the amount of hours on it but so far it is doing well. The black levels on this thing are amazing. I was so tired of blooming from my older edge lit LED and purpleish black levels. This thing gets black! When there is nothing on the screen I have often thought it was off. The only reason for the 4 stars is that on patterns in the background when panning across you will see the pattern jitter or lag. It is pretty much only on patterns and motion. Otherwise everything is great. The smart features are nice and the 4K looks amazing. I'd definitely buy again.

Even though I currently have no 4K content, I bought this TV due to its incredible picture. It is replacing a Samsung 1080p 240Hz TV, and the difference is dramatic. I had looked at this TV several times, as I normally stop in at Best Buy every week or two. I thought it had the best picture of any of the TVs they had. On this TV, black is black, and the colors pop out from that true black. Beautiful.

Simply the Best Television Picture in History

Professional reviewers of electronics are unanimous in stating without qualification that LG OLED televisions produce the best pictures ever displayed on a television screen. That is undoubtedly true. I’m tempted to say that watching a picture on LG OLED is like looking out a window, but that would not be true. I don’t wash my windows every day (or even every week) so they usually have a patina of accumulated dirt and cat nose prints. If I want to see the world in perfect clarity I need to go outside or turn on the LG television. So let’s take as a “given” that this device displays a picture of quality never before seen on a TV screen. Ten years ago when I reviewed the top-of-the-line Sony this device replaced I said I couldn’t imagine how anyone could ever make a better television. LG did. The resolution is incredible, but the color rendition is equally spectacular. Colors jump off the screen without looking garish or artificial. Skin tones for people of all ethnicities are incredibly natural. If you purchase this television -- and you should even if it stretches the budget a bit -- give yourself the treat of viewing LG's ultra HD and OLED demonstration videos, which are available on You Tube. They are created to showcase the resolution and color rendering capabilities of this television. Once you see them you will understand why you bought the TV, and you'll be glad you did.

This TV has everything I needed and wanted. Replaced a plasma with this one and the picture quality improvement was immediately noticeable. Easy to set up and to navigate with a little exploring. Ability to access amazon and netflix using the tv is so convienient. Colors are vivid and black gradients don't show up as blocks of shades of gray. It looks like people are in the room with you.

This TV has a wonderful picture.
I will say that you have to find where to change the settings such as contrast. The book doesn't tell you much. But after you get things set the way you want them, it couldn't be any better.
I love the TV! My only problem is you might as well throw the manual away.

You can't beat this TV. We were going to buy a Sony x930d but for a few hundred dollars more we got this TV. very little calibration is needed. you can view the calibration videos online to do this. we watch a lot of sports and game online and and don't notice any drag/blur and the blacks, well....spectacular. this TV is top of the line and highly rated for a reason.

Excellent TV picture quality. Saturated colors, deep black. Full measure of auto or manual picture adjustment. Built in browser and network connection were not complicated to configure. Good thing because manual contains almost nothing of value. Powerful remote. Limited, minimal audio, makes additional sound bar or home theatre necessary to compliment the picture.

This T.V. is awesome. I have purchased Samsung T.V.s the past 15 years. I purchase the Samsung T.V. 55” LED UN55KS8000FXZA 2/12/2017. I returned it for this T.V. LG OLED 55” OLED 55B6P and I never looked back. The picture quality is clear and colors pop off of the screen. I got this T.V. on sale for $1799 from Best Buy. It was worth the extra money.

This tv has the best picture I've ever seen, blackest of blacks, Danzig approved.Only downfall is watching older non hd shows or movies, the quality looks worse than with older lcd hdtvs, and there's not a lot of 4k content out still. Netflix 4k is pretty dope,Trailer park boys in 4k is a trip, anything thats 720 or up is going to look phenomenal

Tv lived to the hype for the most part didn't get a full run on it. Due to it didn't fit the application I was wanting it for. Picture was amazing and the black/White contrast is 2nd to none would have totally kept it if I didn't have to sit so close to it while gaming. They need to make a 47 and a 42 inch and that would have worked better

Did over a year research on this TV and was convinced OLED was the best technology out there. I got a great deal on this TV as an open box, but I think the regular price is worth it. This is a great TV - easy to set up, easy to operate (using magic remote) and definitely BEST picture quality out there for 4k content! Amazing!

This tv is worth the money. Although I have had a few bad experiences with LG in the past with TVs, I decided to give this tv a try as it is had a reasonable price tag for what you get in the O-LED market. Great picture, good sound, remote is easy to use, easy to set up, very thin and just an overall good tv.

What an amazing picture LG OLED produces

I won't repeat what all reviewers have to say about LG's amazing OLED screens as all reap praise on the screen clarity. I have never owned a TV like this LG OLED. You can actually see the clarity in the actors eyes and nothing is hidden, not even wrinkles, blemishes and flaws in their faces. An interesting tidbit of information regarding the different models of LG OLED TV's is that they all have the same engine driving them. You basically get the same high quality picture on all the models with each model having their unique additions. I purchased the 55" model and could not be happier with it. I sit in awe every time I watch a program or movie on it. I have paired it with the new OPPO HD 4K Blu-ray player along with the SONOS sound system which shakes the house. I have no need to visit a theater any longer as my LG OLED home setup is amazing.

I did my research before purchasing this 55" LG OLED television. I spent weeks in various stores looking at televisions and I spent weeks on the internet looking at reviews and understanding what was offered by manufacturers today.
Based on my research, I determined that the best television for me was either the top of the line Samsung (which is very bright with a crisp picture) or the LG OLED. After a month of owning the LG, I believe I made the right choice.
Out of the box, the picture was just okay. It was obvious that the television rendered blacks superbly, but it did not display the crispness (sharpness) of the top Samsung television. Rather than exchange the television for the Samsung, I took the time to understand the various display settings (there are many) and I searched the internet for the 'best' settings for the television. After a couple of hours, I achieved what I thought was the best picture that I could achieve (I'm not a professional calibrator) and I just watched the television on and off for about a month.
This television must be like high quality speakers in that it has a 'break-in' period. As time passed by, the quality of the picture improved to a point that every time I turned the television on I began to be absolutely amazed at the quality of the picture. Now... The colors really pop, the blacks are inky black, and the crisp display that I was looking for rivals that of the Samsung and Sony televisions that I considered purchasing.
If you are on the fence about purchasing this television, get off of it and buy it. It is head and shoulders above what is available on the market currently.
Note that I watch a lot of movies and I also started playing video games again. The television excels in both areas.
I did have a problem getting a newly purchased PS4 Pro to 'talk' to the television and vice versa. I contacted LG customer service and explained the problem to them. They informed me that they planned on rolling out an update in a week to resolve the problem. Guess what? In less than a week, the television notified me there was an update available. I proceeded with the update and the problem went away.
1 thumbs up for the television and 1 thumbs up for customer service
I hope this review helps you in some way.
Regards.

This is a very good tv and the picture quality is awesome. As for me I am a gamer and love to watch action movies. So for me the constant jitter during online games and fast action from action movies caused me to return it. But for people who just watch TV and movies it is definitely a great buy.
