My first OLED tv and I am blown away. The black and white levels are intense. Accurate colors. Operating system is very stable. Bought this TV as an open box back in January. My advice is to always check Best Buy’s open box televisions for a deal, especially after the winter holidays. I ended getting an awesome deal. The only thing missing was the remote which I ended finding on Amazon for $30. Works awesome with my Yamaha Aventage A2A and my Polk speakers and speakers woofers. The stock sound system on the tv is above average. The way it adjust from SD to HD to HDR and Dolbivision is awesome. All can be preset by the user. The television is also super this. Also, you do not have to use the mount included. I used my own VESA mount and replaced an existing older LG 55 inch. It was a perfect and easy swap. The brightness is perfect for me. It was the brightest OLED available in 2022 and that’s enough for me!

Best TV in Years!

So I previously owned a Sony A8F OLED (55in.) that I bought back in 2018, and it was amazing. At that time, I had intended to buy a Samsung TV, but the Best Buy employee convinced me to go with an OLED because it was being sold for a great price at the time. I didn't do any research and just bought the OLED on a whim thinking, "well, it's OLED, so it can't be beat." Well, I was wrong.
Fast forward 4+ years later, and that Sony TV was sold. Yes, it was a great TV, and at the time, a great value for the price I got it for. However, issues such as reflection, lack of gaming features, and overall low brightness did bother me a good bit. The icing on the cake for this one was the fact that it didn't have HDMI 2.1, which is needed to take full advantage of the PS5, so I sold it.
Initially, I was going to go with the Samsung S95B OLED TV, but when I went into the Best Buy store, my mind changed fairly quickly. Yes, this TV is significantly more expensive than the Samsung OLED, but it is absolutely worth the extra cost. The brightness is almost as good as Samsung, but doesn't overly enhance the colors, especially reds (a huge issue with the Samsung OLED). It offers any and all gaming features you could ask for, be it AMD FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync, low latency, Variable Refresh Rate, etc. And once the TV is calibrated, it has the very best and most natural, realistic colors I've ever seen on a TV. Seriously, any TV I look at now is a complete downgrade from this one; it definitely spoils you!
Basically, if you have the money to get this TV, then just get it. It is the best TV I've owned/seen in years, and I expect to keep it going for at least the next 7 years. Plus, LG's offering of a 5 year warranty seals the deal!

Amazing picture and sound; the picture is SO clear. My cats never even noticed my old TV screen, but now they are fascinated with it. We forget to use the gallery mode, but I want to get I to the habit of it as I think it’s a cool feature. Mounts on the wall (this model has a built-in mount), and takes such little space! I bought the tech pro membership which is good for two years, and the Geek Squad only took about 30 minutes to install. Awesome purchase. I plan to get something to hide the wires as well.

I am very pleased with this purchase. The picture quality is excellent. Although the TV is mounted on a swivel base, I don't need to turn it for those at the side to have a good view. The WebOs is full of features. I haven't tried them all at this time. However it was easy to program and select the options I did chose to use. All-on-ll, an excellent choice for me.

I purchased the G2 as a upgrade to the CX that I gave to my son. All this talk about the evo panel and the picture is of no improvement that I could tell over the CX. I had issues with remote disconnecting, my series X would display 10 bit color, after a full factory reset it would for a day. Don’t buy the G2 if you have a C9 or up, it’s not an improvement. The issues with the remote I’m sure where a isolated event.

Nice picture. Compared to the same size C2 (55”) we have in another room, this screen is noticeably brighter. Have this is a bedroom where a regular mount would look clunky. Flush mounted high enough in a line of sight to clear my toes while watching in bed. Geek Squad installed with typical professionalism. Heard upcoming C3 will be even brighter. Two minor quips: remote has no backlight and the factory color calibration makes all lips look like they’re covered in lipstick. Wish they had dialed back the red a bit. Again, a minor issue and I could adjust the tint or pay for a calibration.

Let's get this out of the way: QD-OLED offers brightness, color, and saturation image quality benefits over a WOLED panel like the LG G2.
If you're able to accept the inherent limitations of older OLED technology, this TV is on an excellent, mature platform and offers exceptional performance at a power cost.
SDR content from broadcast, cable, Blu-ray, or streaming is solid. Out of the box accuracy is excellent. Good color, image detail, and mostly-accurate white balance.
HDR content in HDR10 and Dolby Vision is bright—not as bright as a QD-OLED, but bright enough for all but the most sunlit rooms. Images show an increased dynamic range that is a noticeable improvement over earlier LG C1, CX, or C9 models.
Gaming performance just works. Period. Console gamers and PC enthusiasts can look forward to a stable feature set with no weird quirks or image dropouts or HDMI CEC/compatibility issues.
Sound for a television is decent—an external soundbar or 2.1 system is recommended.
Overall, if you can still find this TV for less than the LG G3 on sale, it's a worthy television that won't leave you disappointed.

One Year Review

I’ve had this tv for a little over a year now. Best TV I’ve ever had. LG really stepped up their UI on this tv compared to the last LG I had (still have, actually). The picture is fantastic, and looks even better once you tweak the settings to your liking. Took me a while to figure out everything but after some YouTube videos and reddit posts, it was like “oh yeah that makes sense.” Auto-recognizing of inputs and even has built in cable management slot in the back! I could not ask for a better tv, especially since I got it on sale and couldn’t believe I got it for the price I did (it was like a 40% discount!)

I originally bought Samsung's The Frame tv for my home office but the picture quality was honestly pretty terrible. I exchanged it for the G2 and I couldn't be happier. The picture quality is incredible and not having to put the Samsung one connect box in the wall meant I could truly flush mount, so it looks better aesthetically as well. If you are trying to decide between the two, the G2 is well worth the extra money.

Got this TV on clearance and have been blown away with the picture quality. A common complaint for OLED televisions is low brightness which has not been an issue with this television. TV speakers are ok but would recommend a soundbar system.
