Bought this tv for our bedroom and can't believe how realistic the picture quality is. Oled is definitely the best picture but cost prohibitive in larger sizes. The price point for this model is very reasonable in my option.

    Infinite Contrast

Infinite contrast means perfect blacks because each pixel has the ability to turn on and off by itself. No backlighting needed. What this means is the picture quality, contrast, and color accuracy is phenomenal. One of the best things about the 2017 models is that all of the have the same panel and chipset. What that means is from the entry level to the premium models you get the same picture quality. Yes at one time I wanted a 75 inch screen but in OLED it was to expensive for me so I tried for the first time to get an OLED this is my second one. My first one is for the main living room(65 inch). This one 55" for bedroom. Sure I could've brought a cheaper tv but I will tell you this once you go Infinite black its hard to go back(to LED-LCD:-).

Best TV screen on the market now

I have had a number of TVs over the years and this is the best viewing screen ever. Incredible blacks and brilliant colors with true cinematic quality. I've been primarily using it as a monitor in HD mode so far, I'm just not convinced that 4k makes that much of a difference. The resolution change doesn't matter all that much for normal viewing, but the HDR that runs in 4k does increased the lifelike qualities of the overall color. (Blacks seem a bit more graduated in HDR than in regular HD.) However you use it, be sure to calibrate the screen following one of the basic adjustment guides online for this model. Overall, its probably not worth the extra $$ if you only watch sports or news shows, but for films and higher end TV its simply amazing.

Love watching movies and any TV shows on my new OLED TV. The picture quality is amazing. It was super easy to set up. 4K movies look stunning. This was a splurge purchase and I am so glad that I went for it.

"Is 4K really better? And is LG OLED the right technology?" These questions were answered with a resounding, "YES!" just hours after we set up our LG OLED55B7. The set requires a little set-up to find its system-wide sweet spot but features like one-button access to Netflix and Amazon Video, the "Magic" remote, and an ARC HDMI port make it well worth it. And that display! 0.0 Wow. We couldn't be more impressed with the picture - especially in how it handles blacks, a noticeable problem for the Samsung display we replaced. We're huge movie fans and can't wait to enjoy years of them on this TV.

Best TV I’ve Owned - And it’s Entry Level

This is the entry line model of LG OLEDs. I have the 2017 model, I think. Got it at year end when the new line came out - saved a ton of money. Picture settings are fantastic. Smooth 60fps, low lag for gaming, and highly customizable as far as picture adjustments and options. I recommend LG OLED in general.

The picture on this tv is phenomenal, oled seems to be the way to go as I have another 4k tv by Sony that’s not an oled and while they both provide great pictures I’d pick the lg oled easily superior.

B7 is hands down one of the best tv's out there. Super easy to setup, with amazing picture quality! Was always a Samsung tv kind of guy, resistant to change brands but no regrets. Worth every penny!

I’ve done so much research on a great overall tv for watching 4K and playing video games on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro. This tv is so thin and looks incredible. I don’t think I could ever go back to anything less than OLED. QLED looks great, but this tv is still way better. As for burn in, I haven’t experienced anything like that. It’s a possibility, but the Xbox interface has preventative measures built in that has the screen constantly have something going on. Even when I place my controller down to take a short break or have to walk away for a while to do something, I come back and my Xbox has side tiles come out and dims out the rest of the tv. Definitely recommend.

The Best TV We Have Ever Had

We have purchased many televisions throughout our 30+ year marriage...Samsung, SONY, DYNEX, Panasonic, and some I cannot remember. We bought this LG television for a few reasons. Online reviews from independent agencies rated it very high, and the LG washer and dryer we bought years ago, convinced us that buying another LG product would be a solid purchase. The picture is every bit as good in our family room as it was in the store...which is probably hard to believe for anyone who reads this! I am not sure you will get the terrific Black Friday deal we received, but I find it hard to believe you would be disappointed watching this tv in your family room!.

This TV is great. Not as bright is a samsung Qled but the colors are rich and if you tune the colors in vivid mode. It's bright. Xbox one owners - it plays very well with black ops 3

We had a previous "4k" Vizio television that this new LG 55" OLED replaced. We were on the fence about purchasing this on sale for 1,499 at Best Buy. After seeing the picture quality we were sold. The 4K OLED screen is simply amazing, and outclasses our old Vizio in every way. The software that the TV has is easy to use and it streams everything perfectly. We have been using our new Apple TV 4k with it, our Nintendo Switch, our comcast cable box, and our gaming PC on this TV. Everything simply looks amazing on this TV! HDR content is especially impressive. It is a lot to spend, but you get a LOT of picture for the price.

    Pitch Black

Pitch black is simply stunning. To view it in a large, well-lit store is to mostly notice the colors and the contrast. However, when it’s home and you’re watching the Earth II’s deep sea scenes, it is something else altogether. This was expensive. I bought it with the Black Friday sales in effect and it still felt expensive. For a moment I considered getting a larger LED tv for 2/3 the price. I’m so glad I stayed the course. Ridiculously thin display; easy to navigate controls; brilliant-brilliant colors; PITCH BLACK. Worth it. P.S. The fact that this will cost less than $1,000 one day is wild...but also encouraging.

I bought this tv new. I would personally suggest avoiding the display models if you are overly concerned with “burn in” as saving a few bucks to get a permanent blemish on screen isn’t worth it to me. I originally tried the Sony 900e because of all the hype surrounding it but soon learned it was just that, “hype” don’t get me wrong it was a decent tv but looks way better in store than at home even with professional calibration. Picture was ok but not as crisp as my B7, and motion, no matter how the settings were changed, was hard for me to stomach. I exchanged it for the B7 and couldn’t be happier! Gaming: it’s hooked up to an Xbox one X and the 4k is flawless, it’s the best picture I’ve seen and the X looks significantly better on the B7 over the Sony 900e, input lag is also lower and it seems to get just as bright which was a concern I had for oled. I was super worried about image retention (image burn) I play a lot of games where hud stays in the same spot for hours so I bought the warranty, as Best Buy seems to have one of the best warranties on market for almost anything. Summary: That said I’ve had the tv for 3 weeks now and I’ve put it through the ringer trying to test for image retention and I’m shocked to have had 0 issues (thus far). Now I know it’s only been a couple of weeks so I’ll still suggest a warranty but it seems the burn in isn’t as easlily done as most people have claimed. For reference I’ve kept the tv on for a minimum of about 6 hours a day on fallout 4 hud screen and call of duty and an addition 4 hours of Netflix and have had no issues. Every night before I turn it off I do run the oled pixel refresher so that may be helping. All in all this tv is everything I hoped it would be. I’d still suggest the warranty “just in case” of screen burn as it’s not that much more to pay for peace of mind and if you’re willing to pay this for a tv anyway the warranty pricing shouldn’t be a concern. If your looking for the best, you’ve found it with oled!

I bought this about two weeks ago and it is everything the reviews said it would be. The picture is spectacular. I've only had a chance to play one 4K HDR movie, but it is truly life-like. Even ordinary DVDs look so much better than on my old Samsung, which was actually a good TV itself. The sound is good, though not nearly in the same class as the picture. The only gripe I have is that the menu and remote are very antiquated in their design. Nothing bad, really, but just a fair amount of button-pushing to do anything. It is indeed a minor gripe and I would enthusiastically recommend this set to anyone.
