I bought this tv 2 months ago. This is hands down the greatest tv I’ve every seen. Beautiful picture. The blacks and the color are unbelievable. With that A9 processor, everything I watch looks 4K. Also I can turn on the HDR effect mode that basically converts SDR to HDR. So amazing. Quad Step noise reduction eliminated 90% of digital noise. The sound quality it the best. Front firing Dolby Atmos speakers. Wow. And the beautiful picture on glass design! I have my tv mounted and it looks so good on the wall.
I decided to opt out of the geek squad mounting and attempted to do it myself. I was a very challenging event. And I’m a pretty handy however the the tv is super thin and the bottom of the tv is a sheet of glass. So it’s extremely fragile. I would highly recommend getting it mounted professionally.

The picture quality on this tv is phenomenal, with excellent color production, and an excellent viewing angle. As plasma tv owners since they came out we we’re used to the excellent picture quality and the great viewing angles that they provide and that can’t be provided by any Led tv’s. The Led tv’s look good but as soon as you start walking off angle the picture and colors start to change and that is not acceptable to us. These OLed’s are like the plasma’s were you can be at extreme angles and still get accurate picture quality and color reproduction. The picture is not as bright as the Led or Plasma tv’s but after changing the default settings the picture brightness is excellent. You may not think so especially if you are coming from an Led but you have to understand that most tv manufacturers run the brightness and contrast extremely high and they also over saturate the picture. So my suggestion would be to truly judge the picture quality in front of you and not compare to what you have been watching because that was probably an overly bright and saturated picture. The other great thing with the tv is the software built into it. WebOs is smooth and strong and runs extensively fast and is much better than the other OS’s I have seen on other smart tv’s.

Had been looking at this OLED model for some time, and finally decided to take the plunge and upgrade. Picture-on-glass takes a bit of careful handling by two (2!) people to move it into place. After that, setup was a breeze. In a word, picture quality is simply astonishing -- nothing like it. Yes, it's pricey, but for cutting-edge technology, that's somewhat expected. The smart remote is a Bluetooth device and I was hoping to be able to connect a second for the other end of the open-space room; no such luck, as the system connects to only one Bluetooth device at a time. But that's a silly little quibble. In reality, I am one happy camper!

One of the best- if not the best TV for films. Picture has a deep color range and the blackest blacks. Dolby Atmos sound system is INCREDIBLE. The TV does have no input lag for gaming and a very high refresh rate, but it's more prone to burn in if you leave static images or icons on the screen for a long time, which will permanently damage the TV. ANy huds, menus, maps, health bars can royally mess up the screen vary the content and don't play games on it for long sittings.

I do love this TV, the picture quality is excellent on 4K content; however, your normal OTA or Cable is only somewhat better than my 9 year old Samsung 1080p TV. The soundbar on this is decent for what it is, but I turned it off and use the surround speakers I have.
I did turn off the soap opera effect on this as it just looks awful IMO.

Finally, a dream has come true. After seeing an OLED in person for the first time in store, I can finally say that I own one. This is hands down the best picture quality in a TV that I've ever seen. Not to mention the design (with the glass panel) looks gorgeous.
It puts all other TVs to shame, and the only competitor that may come up eventually is when QLED becomes true QLED.

Bought this TV after having returned the TCL 65 multiple times for poor image quality and banding. Was replacing my 50 inch plasma. This TV is AMAZING. GREAT great colors and black levels. Decent viewing angle coverage. Lag isn't an issue. Love the glass look of the TV, too.

The television was so easy to set up worked after going thru the setup steps. I did have trouble getting it to work with Alexa. The picture is incredible and it has great sound. The new model had better sound and a sound bar was not necessary.

We bought this TV because of the OLED display and the glass display. My wife loved the way it looked, it was lacking in the sound department. This was sitting in the bedroom, but was not loud enough for my wife's taste. We were going to buy a Soundbar, but that would have set us back at least $700 for the quality we were looking for. We took it back and bought the Sony Bravia TV.
The Sony has a much better display (dept, contrast, color). It also has a 3.1 speaker system that is the best I have heard in a modern day TV. The speakers sound good enough to not have to buy a soundbar.
Conclusion:
If aesthetics are more important that the picture quality, sound, and price, get this TV - you won't be disappointed. I would give this a 4.5 if I could. I rounded it up to 5.

Excellent TV for us in every way. The Best Buy buying process was excellent for us. This LG OLED has many features that stand out from the rest. Really like the "picture on glass" feature. If placed on top of a dark surface it really does give an impression of floating. The 60 watt audio is very good for us. No additional sound bar is needed. This was a big factor in the pricing as well as Best Buy price matching and being very helpful during that process as well. All thumbs up. Very happy with this purchase!

The black is so intense its almost intimidating. The controller with mouse pointer takes some getting used to but now can't live without it. Can't go back to less resolution!

Great picture quality. I did get a demo model which you would think would be spared from burn in as the demo video they play in the store is always moving so there is never a static image on the screen. Yet I got a serious burn in on the screen so obviously it’s a problem beyond static images. And the tv was only 1 year old. So until OLED is burn in proof I am passing despite great quality.

You can't really go wrong with the C8 or E8 from LG, these are the best value in OLED and it shows in the picture and sound. I have no complaints about this TV, it is honestly the best I've ever seen and has been a great addition to the home theater space. You can go wrong with TV in the 55, 65 inch range. Do do your homework about OLED TV's though, burn in is a thing and so is pixel fatigue, make sure to get the warranty if you go OLED. But otherwise amazing TV!

I've been looking for an OLED TV for quite some time. This E8 series blows my mind with it's picture on glass design and deep blacks. The front speakers are plenty loud especially with the proper media content. The TV, however, it's very fragile and will break without adequate care. Buy now you won't be disappointed

Decided to upgrade my TV after 5 years with a small LED screen. This was an amazing choice. The OLED perfect and the glass display makes the picture clean as ever. If you want to go OLED 4K this is the way to go!

So I started with buying a Samsung Q8fn QLED tv because I've always owned samsung and they've been great. I just want happy with the quality on some of the inputs. I returned it for the LG E8 and let me tell you, I'm so glad I did. The picture on oled tvs is worth the hype. Everything looks and sounds awesome on this TV! So happy with this TV!

I’ve been wanting to upgrade my TV for years and decided to just go all in on a new TV. This didn’t disappoint. It’s gorgeous and the sound is amazing. Setting up the in room sound is a great choice and the resolution is stunning. A great choice!
